Has anyone tried to use sweeter home 2 on their N1 yet? If so how did it work for you guys?
Am using it now.
It's way different than before. I am liking it.
The last time I used it on my G1 was many months ago.
I wish a decent refresher existed.
Am making slow, definite progress.
I heard that its slow when hitting the home button...but i dont know if that problem was on the g1 or the n1
I'm using it right now. It seems to work just fine other than live wallpapers not working.
I used it for about half the day yesterday. It is fassst! However, it does force close quite often.
Anyone putting much work into Sweeterhome? I'm really starting to love this program, but I don't have anyone to bounce my ideas off of. The Sweeterhome forums are also quite slow. I'm really hoping there a few guys here that have some experience with it. I'm looking to get some information on the 'intents' function of Sweeterhome. I've got some ideas but not quite sure if I'm on the right track.
I tried this application, wasnt too bad. However it took a while to get used to it. It also took awhile to set up each theme. Long story short too many widgets needed and hard to edit, still very beta. A cool change and fun to play with though.
Just tried the newer beta version - http://www.sweeterhome.com/
Not surw what to make of it.. Has a built in theme downloader and have been trying some out but seems a bit confusing at first. Nice and fast though...

I came over to the Android world from the Touch Pro 2 like I'm sure many here did. I spent a lot of time on PPCgeeks.com and have contributed a lot on that site in the way of the TP2.
Now with the Incredible, XDA has became my favorite site for phone and I hope to contribute to the Android world from here.
One of my favorite themes was the Dusk Theme by xda user grzegorz10. He does some beautiful work and in my opinion it is second to none.
I am working on a few things for the Android world that will possibly bring some of this to the Incredible.
Here is a start, it's not perfect yet but I am pretty happy with the way it is coming along...
I give you the Dusk Clock!

And the widget preview image when adding it to your home screens.
I don't know how far I will take this, probably just a piece at a time. I don't really have the time to do a complete ROM, that and the fact that learning where all of the different files are is a whole new ball game compared to Window Mobile operating system.
As for right now the phone has to be rooted and you have to push the files using adb. In the future there will probably be a better way of doing this but for now that's about it.
If anyone is interested in this, when I get it completed I will post the apk and instructions for getting it on your phone.
gadget!
Wow...bringing me back! Greg made a sick Dusk theme, nice to see this on Sense and not Manila
Nice job.
Whoa.
Dude it is badass.. when can I get this..
Looks great. Takes me back to the days of Manilla
Sent from my HTC Incredible
any update on when we can use this bad boy!?
could this replace those popular launchers out there, like launcher pro, plus and adw , etc

Remember is still in beta stage 2.
Visit http://www.mappn.com/index.php for more info (im not the developer)
aHome has been around for a while now, and it's always a slower software then the other launchers..
yea i notice that too but i just try this version of ahome and even though is still in beta a runs pretty smooth on the evo compare to other ahome versions.
its seems this version is heading for android phones with 2.0 and higher devices.
I'll give it a shot, why not? Downloading...
Quick update:: Just a real quick first hands on of this version of aHome, and must say.. not bad. Compared to past versions. It's actually quite smooth. WIsh there were more options, but not a big deal. Also wish the app drawer was a bit smoother, but I am keeping in mind its still a beta.

Yeah its not bad at all. I'll keep my launcher pro for now, as you said some things are a little less fluid then lp, but still a beta yes.
it's faster because the last time anyone used aHome was on a g1
k so i been on google all night and searching and youtubing but yet have i found my answer....im getting my new hd7 tomorrow and switching from a moto droid and on my droid i have launcher7 which is a homescreen replacement for android....and on that launcher i can have ties and my own background....i can set the transperancy levels to were i can see most of my background...now what i want to know is this possible on an actuall wp7 running device and if not is there a way of getting it?
hi
it is not possible just yet, but there are people working on this project and it is just a matter of time when this too will be available.
i really hope so this is really the only thing thats keeping me from keeping this phone...i thought u could change the background an all but guess not....was thinking of just gettting an hd2
It is still worth getting. I have an HD7 & a lot has been accomplished. We've managed to be able to change quite a few icons. See attached screenshot of my device.

well to b honest drkfngthdragnlrd i read your post on how you almost got a custom bg on your start screen and thats the main reason im really considering just keeping the device once it comes in tomorrow....i just hate plain main screens and simple u.i
I totally agree, but I will say, screenshot do nothing for the beauty of the UI in motion & the animations. While it may be simple looking, the 3d effects of the animations look nice. I will continue to try to find a way to add a background among other things. I believe that won't happen though till we can edit the dll's/exe's.
just to show what im talking about this is my current home screen on my motorola droid running a home replacement program called launcherpro 7
This app is the first one I have been able to actually make myself and make it do something. I did this through App Inventor.
It's a terrible app really, but I just figured maybe the community might think it as a funny one
I call it a TrollApp, but there's nothing NSFW or bad about it.
I am just really happy to actually have made my own app (mo-betta appz to come!)

Oh, and since this app is so simple, if anyone would like I would be more than happy to post the source code. The whole thing consists of 3 mp3 files, and 3 pictures. Two timers (clocks in app inventor) are used and.... That's about it. But I am definitely going to be doing more with this!
Good luck to you. And at least you can say, you have made an App!
Everyone starts by learning the Basics first.
Regards and well done.
Thank you for the kind words. TBH can't say I haven't tried before..
I have been wanting to program for Android for quite some time now. I cant even really count how many times I have successfully set up Eclipse and ADK and even ran through the demos quite a bit as well, but I have never actually been able to successfully go it on my own.
Some people would say I copped out with using app inventor (it is actually MUCH easier to work with) however as a negative side note, that's also why this simple app is 2.5mb instead of what it should be for what it is (about 900k). Could be the media involved though.
I have made roms, scripts, and everything else but finally I have made a program
I cant find any anywhere. I remember there used to be decent ones a couple years ago but where did they go? I want to track all my keystrokes. Anyone have a lead? This is legit -- its just for myself only as I do it on WhatPulse http://whatpulse.org/ at work and at home so i want to add it to my devices so I can find out just how many buttons I push all day in a week, month, etc.
I can also do this via a script, but Id rather do it with a clean apk that logs just strokes.
Haha, very misleading title ;-).
You are rather looking for keyboard statistics?
Those need to be offered from the keyboard apps itself else it would really be a keylogger.
I'm using SwiftKey and this is the statistic it offers, maybe it is enough?

You can download one again and get a keylogger apk. There is a lot of keyloggers available on the Internet now. For android, you can try ikeymonitor, which is currently free to download. ikeymonitor.com/download
