Not that the nexus battery life is awful, its just not great and id pay a decent amount for longer battery life.
I found a 1500 for like $60 as opposed to the stock 1400, but i dont know what that means, how much more phone time does that equate to? And can we expect 1600? 1700+? Will there be better options than the 1500? And what are the trusted brands/websites in extended batteries? thanks.
I intend to have this phone for a good while. With my g1 and mytouch i never cared enough to look for a better battery so i know little about them.
I don't think it will be possible to extend the capacity using the same volume batteries. Don't believe offers, who promise more capacity but have same size as original battery! 99.99% is hoax.
1500mAh should last 7% longer. Not worth 60bucks imho.
A 1500 mAh battery will last about 7% longer than the stock 1400 mAh battery. I would not recommend spending that kind of money on such a little increase in battery life.
In a nutshell, the mAh is the capacity of the battery. Higher mAh (miliAmperehours) means longer battery life.
I would like to add that the 1500mah battery is probably third party and lower quality, off setting the fact that it has an extra 100mah.
interesting. So can more capacitive third party batteries be expected, i.e. 1600+? And would it be misguided to hope for HTC to directly offer a worthwhile extended battery? thanks for the helpful replies...
At some point I'm sure an aftermarket battery will be offered which replaces the battery cover too, but it'll make the phone an unusual shape...
For now you could consider something like the Motorola P790 and a microUSB adapter. It's an external 1700mAh li-ion pack that sells for about 15 bucks. It has a miniUSB charging port and a miniUSB power port, so you'll need an adapter or a cable of some sort to use it with the N1.
I hope that LI-PO packs become standard. This will be helpful to keep the device the same size and maybe lighter?
what really get me is that all these mobile phone company's know that batteries will always be the number one complaint from customers. so why not just fix the problem and make everyone happy?
What about 3500 mAh for the N1?
This was a cool find. I haven't fully accepted it is worthwhile yet, but for $70 and 3500mAh solar/usb/AC rechargable, it might be a great accessory to have. (just keep a short Micro USB cable with it)

I am posting this for my good friend ecooce. His words below.
"So some of you may know I now have an Epic Touch, and I just want to say I will be creating for both soon if all goes well.
I just wanted to show off the new Mugen 1950mah battery (which also fits the original Epic, actually a pertect fit). This thing is everything it says it is and better if you ask me. The numbers dont lie, I use my phone all day. I work 3rd shift which is the absolute worst on ones personal life, I may sleep 3 hours at a time just to try and do things on a normal time, its hard to explain. Anyways, I used the phone all day and taxed it several times with games, a movie, and some youtube. Screen was at about 40% brightness, auto rotate, no auto brightness. The ROM is old and built on Caulkins 1.5. I plan on doing all updates to 2.3.6 and may release soon.

And a side note to the OG Epic owners, I really miss interacting with everyone, we had some fun times, and I dont think any other phone forum will be the same for me ever. We had some real high moments, and people, even SINN I miss, I have to say. Other phones may get leaks, and have inside info, but no one did it like we did. I just wanted to say I miss you guys "
Nice, but $44??
I can get 2 1800mah oem batteries at that price.
Where can I find an 1800 ?

I also question the capacity. These 3rd party battery vendors are known to fudge their numbers. While Mugen may be more honest than others, I don't think it's worth $44 to try it out. If the battery was really 1950 mAH, why aren't phone manufacturers using these instead of the smaller capacity ones?
You are aware that the 1500mah and the 1800mah batteries are the exact same size right? So the same could be said, why didnt the og epic come with an 1800mah battery?
Mugen has always equalled overpriced crap that's just as good as generic but more expensive then OEM lol
I have one also and I can say it is well wort it, and more so for an og epic owner, thats where this battery really shines.

This is Ksmullins, posting this for a team member. Just an update on what the battery can do with an Epic Touch.

I moved over to the nexus so i have an extra 3300 seido with case in new condition if anyones interested
They most certainly are not, the 1800Mah batteries are just a lil bit thicker. Fortunately for us, there is just enough clearance to put the battery cover back on. It's a tight fit, but it works.
My experience is that the cheap e-bay batteries just makes the phone unstable. The 2450mAh gold battery works fine. However, here is an x-ray of the three different batteries. Looks like there is a little difference in the circuits. Even though it doesn't say much, I think it's interesting, but then again I'm a bit of a nerd....

Since the Gold battery got more Mah it would last longer, right?
Does it really last much longer? How much?

The gold batteries are just labeled as having a larger capacity but in general they have less than samsung batteries. I´m having here some of them around and would say they are about the half of what they are labeled to be. So not really a good choice exept you get them really cheap (5€ each) like I did.

AFAIK Samsung batteries are "bumb" ones- there's only overcharge protection circuit (even for high-end models) and NFC antenna for "N" model.
Some older models (like i5700) had also resistor to distinguish original batteries from knock-offs (if resistor was missing or had incorrect value bootloader didn't charge the battery at all).
I'd say there's not much to investigate

Do other type of larger batterys like the gold one have overcharge protection? if i bought a unoffical battery whats the % chance of it blowing up?
As we all know you cant remove battery in note 5, but today when i got it they mentioned battery replacement in 1 year for free. So then i googled it and found the case on the back does come off, unscrew in 14 slots and you see samsungs battery and can remove it. So if that is possbile can we add more juice? Example on note 3 it comes with 3200mAh right? On ebay i bought a 4200mAh same size. So if back case is removable and the battery is replaceable this should be possbile?

The only issue I could see running into a bigger battery would be fitting it inside the phone. Those Chinese manufacturers that claim they are 5000mAh and the same physical size are yanking your chain, or are just terrible batteries. I'm sure if Samsung could have fit a larger capacity battery in the device, they would have. Your best bet is a Mophie or other external battery case.

Is the battery i got inside my note 3. Its actually a bit slimmer than samsungs battery, and the extra 1000 mAh is noticable as in the phone lasted longer and didnt discharge as fast. I found on ebay people selling note 5 internal batterys at 3000mAh. So im guessing no 1 has made a battery with more juice same size yet or they are in the process. But lets say note 5 active...the rumors of a bigger battery. If it is exactly the same size and everything is the same...we should be able to buy the active battery and inerset it right?
Obviously this isn't a bigger battery, but reaches the same goal. http://www.mophie.com/shop/juice-pack-note-5

because of what samsung stated. The 4gb, higher resoultion, chipset all should drain the battery because of the power hungryness. Due to the chipset being more...advance, power compustion is reduced by like 40% or something. Plus the fast charging and being more energy effceint.
as for the power case, yes i got 2 of them as well
Battery seems ok this phone hasnt had 2 full cycles yet

Effective but small
Been using these for a while now, decided to do a long term review.
-incipio I own 2, the wireless charging and non wireless charging version. Been using these for about 6 months.
-Mophie juice pack, been using this one for about 3 months.
I'm using these in efficiency mode, I'm trying to improve my z Force battery longevity and so far it really show. I'm a heavy user and usually I start to see lower battery life within 6 months on all my previous device. I completely discharge these pack, it's the worse case scenario for a lithium battery.
Let's start with the incipio, it's a 2220 Mah. I mostly use this one when I'm home swapping back and forth between the wireless and non wireless version. 6 months down the road, the capacity drop is severe,I don't have exact numbers but I would say close to 50 %. I'm disappointed, for the prince point both of the pack show extremely poor life cycle.
Pro
-great grip and build quality,
-not to bulky
-add wireless charging,
Cons
-price,
-poor charge/discharge cycle,
-no charging port on the mods,
Mophie juice pack,3000mah. This is my daily driver,so far I'm extremely satisfied with this product. I am yet to see any sign of capacity drop. The battery finish is somehow slippery. I feel the price is more justified on this mods,
Pro
-good build quality
-not sign of reduce capacity, even with heavy use,
-charging port on the mods
-battery level indicator,
Cons
-bulky
-no wireless charging
-finish give poor grip,
Great long term follow up.
Replacing battery packs is certainly easier than opening up the Z in order to replace the battery. Using the battery packs as they were meant (essentially draining them) will certainly diminish their overall capacity/life span. Too bad it happened so quick. I thought lithium ions were supposed to stay at 100% capacity for at least 500 cycles.
Any comments on the size/weight difference between the Mophie and the Incipio?

Way thicker, almost twice as thick and heavier.
Hi,
got this phone for about 10 days and I highly doubt the claim it has a 1.580mAh battery.
in fact AccuBattery app shows and always showed capacity a little below 1.000.
anybody here has this phone, too?
it's 860 i found someone opened battery cartridge on twitter

do you have a link on that?
it is kind of impossible being that low due to the claculations on AccuBattery. 1000 would sound right
soyes XS battery size and extended Battery
It's definitly a 860mah battery:

The size of the soyes xs battery is 60X37X3mm
The battery capacity is the real problem on this smartphone i'm thinking to mod it with an extended battery but 2mm thicker .
I'm thinking of putting of the back and using the case as the new back to gain this 2 mm.
Do you think using a li-po battery would be a problem, my google search on the subject seems to say there is no problem.
Battery would be this 1200 mah one:
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/3-7V-1200mA...ion-1-0Connector-053759-for-GPS-/262039783842
or this 1500 mah one:
http://www.batteriesetpiles.com/bat...59-3-7v-1500mah-batterie-lithium-ion-polymere
size:
Length: 59 mm
Width: 37mm
Thickness: 5 mm (2mm thicker)
There is many different batteries of this size with different capacity the model to search for this size on google is "053759 battery" or "503759 battery"
What do you think of it?
Hi!
My XS is just on the way, but Im already planning to upgrade the battery to this one you linked. But I will try to make a plastic shim around the frame so I can re attach the back cover like it was original.
There’s one a little better again on aliexpress... Polymer Lithium Battery 403760 1400mAH. Just need instructions how to pull it apart first! Anyone?

I kno I'm hella late, but I had to teardown my xs b/c I was/am having a connectivity issue. I also wanted to connect an external HP jack. The reason being I'm currently in prison. I figured I'd attach charging wires directly to the board so I can use AA batts. I wedged the back glass off with a razor and pried gently. Any idea what carriers will support this?
So Battery for Soyes S10?
