Too loud bluetooth volume (A2DP) - General Topics

Yes, that's not a mistkae. The volume is too loud not too low.
Let's start from the outset. A few days ago I paired my HTC HD2 with Jabra BT3030 bluetooth stereo headset. Everything seems to work fine except a little issue - even with minimum volume settings a sound comming out of headset is faaaaar too loud.
Within last few days I did a lot of digging, but without working solution. There are some ideas like SRS WOW, however it causes bt to stop working(cannot turn on bt).
Maybe you know some registry tweak to solve the issue?

This happened to me when the ppc volume was at the max and I was adjusting it with the hardware buttons on the bt device. You probably tried this already but setting both volumes (as they are independent) to a low level might be a solution

Fuze bluetooth headset volume low

This is something that's been anoying me since I got my Fuze and have yet to find any fixes for it, any fixes I have found were for the phones headset volume which was also low, but they didn't fix the issue with the bluetooth headset, however I also noticed it's not strictly because of the bluetooth because when I use my bluetooth headphones the volume is very loud at max volume, but the second a call comes in and the headphones switch to the handsfree profile to take the call the volume drops extremely low even with the headphones and phone volume at max, does anyone know of a tweak to fix that?

[Q] Bluetooth Audio Issues

So I ordered the GoGroove Bluegate Bluetooth Receiver from Amazon the other day and my package was delivered today! Woohoo!
I got everything set up in my room and was very impressed. I'm no audiophile, but I noticed no difference in quality between the Headphone jack and BT audio.
So out to my truck I went, got it all wired up the way I like, and started playing some tunes.
On Batakang 1.00 and using DoubleTwist, the volume was WAY TOO LOUD. It was also pretty distorted. So I made sure the stereo, BT volume, and media volume were all at the lowest settings to no avail. Still incredibly loud.
Is this phone just loud as hell? I know the external speaker is louder than most other phones. Is it software or hardware? Is there any way I can force the volume down? (Side note, I miss the expandable volume controls after pressing the rocker in CM9/CM10)
Any help is appreciated!
Use Audio Concert Pro from the play store and it should give you everything you need.
Cheers

It sounds like something in your setup is causing it to bypass the volume settings and just play at max volume. I use my phone all the time for bluetooth audio on 2 blackberry bluetooth gateways (home stereo and office stereo) and a sony bluetooth audio car stereo and I am able to control the volume just fine from both the phone and the stereos.

I think I figured it out. I installed "music volume EQ" from Play and I adjusted all bands to -15 db. This surprisingly made all volumes much more acceptable. I noticed media volume over 8 used to sound the same, like it was maxed out, but it seems much more granular now, and lower volumes are more "normal".
I suggest this fix for anyone who is unhappy with any volumes.

I know this topic is way old, but I know what the problem is. I unlocked and flashed cm10.1, and while the bluetooth takes a few seconds to lock on, it now is at a reasonable volume, the BT volume slider changes volume, and it never jumps to 100% after connection. The Motorola BT drivers must be wonky. Anyway, that's it! Moto screwed up.

Any LG Tone+ bluetooth users here? question

So i have been using my Tone+'s for a while now and love them.
as soon as i upgraded my G-nex to 4.4 i had rediculously loud volume over BT. thought it was just a big in the build.
get my N5 yesterday, and i am having the same issues. i know the headset controls the volume now, but at its lowest setting, it is still pretty loud (louder than i would like)
am i the only one that has this problem? just curious
i have tried wired headphones and they are normal, i also tried a Jabra clipper BT headphone set and it was also normal.
how do 2 LG products not play perfectly together is beyond me.
Having the same issue here. For now, I'm using an equalizer and just lowering all the frequency bands to -13dB. Hopefully this gets fixed soon...
Same issues here. It's very frustrating as I also bought a wireless charging bad so I could be completely wireless at work.
It is Kit Kat issue on all devices that use the default Google Bluedroid Bluetooth stack, meaning Nexus devices and Google Play versions (other devices running a modified stack may not be affected).
Supposedly, it is an extension to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 that enables Bluetooth audio devices to directly control Android's system volume. It seems some genius thought two independent volume levels (headphone volume and handset bluetooth level) was too confusing for folks. Clearly they did not think about (or test) that some Bluetooth audio devices with their own volume controls might default to a very high or low level, and control of only the handset's bluetooth level would not provide sufficient range of adjustment.
So once again we have Goofle googing up bluetooth in Android. Please share your disappointment in the following threads so that we might see a fix ASAP. Guessing they are facing law suits for hearing damage if it is not addressed quickly.

Does your older tone and car support a avrcp 1.3?
In my car, it's just the opposite. I now have to turn the level on the phone to max to hear anything. Before 4.4 I could leave it halfway.
I have used tone+ on my s4 and n5. Both are often too loud. I have always had to adjust the headset volume, handset volume and then the equalizer in poweramp to get things just right. I love them for music but if I get a call it is always way too loud.

I am unsure what what is to be honest. But if it has to do with showing the songs/artist etc on the screen, then yes it does that. Does it with my S2, N5 and will do it with an iPhone (work). Car is a Honda 2012
The issue with the Tone + is that it powers up at medium volume level, and when connected to an audio source, Android 4.4 now maps the volume control on the Tone to system volume.
As a work around I have found that, after powering up the Tone +, if you press the front most volume rocker repeatedly until you hear the low pitch tone you can lower the volume. Then when you connect to your audio source it is not so loud.
I hope Google fixes this soon, but I have low expectations based on other Bluetooth issues of the past.
Have you tried changing the sound type on the Tone+? (Holding down both volume buttons at the same time) I know if I have it on normal, high base or high treble they all have different volumes. This may help.
I mainly listen to podcasts, so I always set the EQ profile to the 3rd one (treble up).
It looks like 4.4.1 update fixed the battle between headset volume and handset volume. I'm a happy LG owner!

[Q] Bluetooth Speaker Too Loud On 4.4.4

Hi everyone...
I just got a problem since updating to 4.4.4, and after searching for several days, I still can't get the workaround.
So, I'm using a jabra bluetooth speaker.
When I'm at 4.4.2, the media sound on the bluetooth speaker and the phone is unlinked. So, usually I set the phone media volume at around medium, and then using bluetooth speaker, I can go to near unheard, or loud enough. Even, if I want, I can completely turn off the audio by minimizing both the bluetooth speaker sound and the phone media.
But, since I upgraded to 4.4.4, both device media volume are linked. So, if I press volume up on my speaker, my phone audio goes up as well. And, the main problem is, even the lowest sound (it reached 0 on the phone media volume), the sound still TOO LOUD for me.
Is there any fix? Besides downgrading, if possible.
Not sure I understood how it works with your BT speaker but with my car BT handsfree I just set the volume from the phone and only the BT volume gets changed (the volume slider shows the BT icon). Well, or at least I didn't bother to check the media volume. But that one is sure disconnect in 4.4.4 from the system/notification/ring volumes which are all connected. And the voice call volume doesn't get modified either.

[MM roms] Big problems with bluetooth headset (LG HBS-730) low quality

Hello,
i have one big issue that prevents me from fully enjoing marshmellow roms ,the bluetooth audio.
I have a bluetooth headset from lg hbs-730 an they work just fine with every android (this year i changed like 15 handset) and NEVER had any problem, they just works.
BUT they dont work on a oneplus with mm rom and i can't understand why.
the headset connect via bluetooth with no issue and audio comes out fine at first, but when you get heavy bass or just a lot of instruments in the song the audio lose quality and noise ramp up.
do you know why?it is fixable?
the only hint i have its that the audio control on kk,lp roms are different ,so when i push the up and down volume buttons on the phone the bluetooth audio of the phone is managed, but when i press the volume buttons on the headset it manages its OWN volume.
This doesnt happen in MM roms, when you push the volume button of the headset ord the phone its the same volume bar which is managed.
