You can configure your carrier APN. Menu --> Settings --> Wireless Control --> Mobile Network Settings --> Access Point Name --> Menu --> New APN.

I know it may sound a little silly, but some time ago, some great xda user made wifi shortcut app.
Personally i thought it was one of most awesome and usefull app made on that phone (i just think that going trough settings is kinda retarded on that kind of high end smartphone). The main problem is that after mango update this app stopped working, and now im sad ..
Anyway is there any dev that could make such a usefull piece of software ?
I was hoping for the same thing. I've been keeping open under multitasking for the time being.
What about data toggle?
Such a shame this does not work anymore http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934727 :/
Yes, thats what i meant, must have for mango in my opionion, to be honest i cant believe that microsoft didnt allow users to pin that to start screen

www.codejoker.com
they have wifi, flight mode, sim settings, & bluetooth shortcuts that work with Mango
they also have connection manager app that include all of them + GPRS data on/off too
I have asked them for a GPRS data on/off stand-alone shortcut
Only Samsungs

I too find hard to believe that these connectivity settings are not handy as in Android. Unfortunately the ones of ahmed's link are just for Samsungs.
Hopefully somebody here can "fix 'em" for HTCs and LGs
I seem to be unable to receive MMS messages on my unlocked verizon trophy. I use ATT and wanted to try out WM7 which I'm enjoying, but I'm unable to find any settings to adjust for MMS. How can I get MMS messaging on my unlocked trophy? Any help appreciated
Here you go. Search feature is faster.
You can manually configuration APN, but I'll give you the simple way out.
Some manufacturers have their own network setup utilities. Eg. Samsung has "Network Profile". HTC has "Connection Setup ".
Simply download Connection Setup from the Marketplace and set it up to AT&T.

awesome thanks, downloading now will see if this works. I tried to search but well, it wasn't a thorough search. But thanks for help
Ok so I downloaded Connection Setup and set it to ATT. I still can't receive MMS, all I get is a message from Unknown saying message not found. I tried following the instructions that Laquox linked to, and when I enter ##634# to download the MFG app, it just takes me to a screen that says EmbeddedToo at the top, below it says select function set: Diag then FieldTrial. MFG does not download. WTH am I doing wrong?
Those instructions are for an LG. The easiest way for an HTC to do it is this:
1st: Go To This Post and download the XAP
2nd: Since you are unlocked use whatever program to deploy the app to your phone.
3rd: Once deployed find HTC-ProvXML-Deploy in your app list. Launch it and press the green button. When it is done. Reboot your phone and get a friend to send you an mms. It will now work.
Hi there. My first thread here ... feel a little nervous.
I've got a question for you: if I activate my GPS there comes this dialog "improve my location accuracy (or something like that)". I checked, by accident, the checkbox "don't ask me again" and now I always get my location for all sources (WLAN, mobile cell, GPS). How can I retract this setting? I want to be able to choose my type of location finding again. Thanks a lot in advance.
Device: Google Nexus 5 (of course)
OS: Android Marshmellow (Stock ROM)

Thanks for this, but not what I meant.
When I have location disabled and I enable it ... there is this dialog. If you check the box it default enables all sources (WLAN, mobile cell, GPS). The dialog gives me the chance to choose from "just device GPS" or "all sources WLAN, mobile cell, GPS".
You have those options in Settings -> location -> mode:

The setting resets to high accuracy when location is turned off and on again. How to reset this dialog. One solution is to clear data of Google play services. How do I do this without clearing data?

Clearing data is the only way to do it. Or you have to manually switch the mode each time you turn it in..

I am starting a new thread because I have tried all methods available and still I am unable to get my hotspot working.
Status: Running PC3 build stock, rooted and unlocked for my carrier(Reliance GSM) with GT. Data services are working fine after entering the APN manually.
I am unable to get the hotspot option in settings.

}
Here are the methods which I have tried but couldnt get it working.
Method 1:
Dialed ##DATA# and used my MSL to get into the options.
However, there is no option to change APN settings.
Method 2:
Used sql lite and dig into telephony.db.
Here also, I do not find option to edit APN.
Method 3:
Using GT, I have tried to enable Native hotspot but it didnt worked. Also, when I go into Wifi Hotspot settings, I can enable hotspot but other devices doesnt connect and stuck on "getting Ip address".
I would be delighted if you all can provide your inputs on how to solve this issue.
Any help guys?
Really stuck up!
Have downgraded to Lollipop version but still facing the same issues!

Hey guys so I was going through my settings under more connections I saw a category with only one option called.
Samsung Network Connection then the setting was called "Network Unlock" I tapped it and nothing happened. Then I tapped it again and my phone refreshed real fast and the setting now is gone.
I went to Network operators to see if I could switch networks just wondering if that setting allowed me to or not only to find out no it didn't. So has anybody seen this before and maybe know what it does?
Network Unlock means your device can be used with any service.
if it disappeared then you have Network Unlocked your device.

your looking at Network Operators, that is just to select what mobile company tower your connected to, most of the time that is set to automatic.
Network unlocked means you can put any company SIM card in your phone and it will work on that company network, Only if you have service with that other company.
look at attached images, then let me know what your phone says
Yes that was the setting that was there I got up to 3 then when I tapped on it my phone screen refreshed and now that option is gone & I never got to see picture 4.
I attached a picture to show that setting is gone now.
Do you know if it's possible how to make that option reappear?
