Hi all,
I have changed my homepage from the HTC webpage to www.Google.com in my TD2, but now whenever i launch IE the google homepage comes up but i cannot type anything or use any menu buttons.
I cannot even change back my homepage. The menu buttons in the internet explorer disappeared and IE is pratically useless. The keyboard button is not there either.
Can someone help on this issue please?

i cannot tap on MENU or FAVOURITES or the KEYBOARD icon cause they are not there, can anyone help please?
Can't really help you with your problem. And I can't imagine many people on this forum are using IE. Most of them will be using Opera 9.7 or 10 Beta 2. I advise you to try one of those. http://www.opera.com/mobile/
Are you stuck in "full screen" mode? Tap and hold and uncheck "full screen" from the list.

Please help me. I bought an XDA exec 2 days ago. I have been looking through all of the posetd artciles and they have been agreta help, but I have a problem with internet explorer.
When I log on the screen is filled and I cannot see the 'Menu' at the bottom to change the screen size. This means I cannot alter homepage or change the size of the screen so that I can enter addresses.
I have read the users guide and it all it tells me is to use the 'menu' at the bottom - but it is not on my screen.
Can anyone help?
Try this:
Press the right soft key (one with the '-' on it) that should make the menu bar appear. Press it again or tap the 'menu' item on screen to access it.
The go to Menu->View->Full screen. Once you unselect it the menu bar will stop disappearing.

Reviewed the different apps out there butlet, hbutton, etc. Don't think these are what I am after.
I am using Monx rom ROMEos and the side button is for camera and voice commander. I didn't see the option to map wifi,bt,comm mgr, to the other buttons like home, dial, end button etc?
What I am after is simple - either a gesture where I can launch bt/wifi on/off or a button reassign.

plus it lets you have different keyboards assigned for when stylus is out or in
and if you just want a launcher for bt/wifi
get the action screen some have those as options then map it to a softkey
do i need mortscript to use with butlet? been trying to avoid MS for the longest.. hate adding more apps to my ppc.
right now, my soft keys are programmed for something else. hence, wanted to use a bt/wifi on/off toggle vs. having to scroll all the way over to comm mgr,

I've just installed the latest version of TFDetacher and the toggles work well but I have a problem I fail to fix:
When I toggle to Today page, the Start Menu is no longer available.
I still have TouchFlo Start Menu softkeys at the bottom of the screen but the main part of the screen is stuck on Today.
This doesn't append when TouchFlo is turned on, the menu is displayed correctly.
I really don't know what to do!
I'm running TouchFlo 3D 2.0.37889.1

Just "start menu off" then "start menu on" and here it is, the old good Windows Start Menu!
(if someone found a way to have the TouchFlo start menu instead, it would be nice to share )

I'm actually using Dutty's HolyGrail R1 Rom for topaz, and for a long time (since original rom) I've been looking for a way to get rid of all the autocomplete and xT9 services on my TD2. The only thing I want is to freely type whatever I want without any kind of suggestions or corrections . I've tried the Advanced Configuration Tools to tweak this unsuccessfully. Does anyone knows how to do it?
Why not pressing the little XT9/ABC button on your device's keyboard and put the device in ABC mode? In that mode the topaz displays exactly whatever you type..
yea but this does not disable button, i want to disable button that it will be always in ABC mode, even if i press that button again, something like keyboard look when you type "To:" field (XT9 ABC) button is disabled...

Have you tried using the Text Input Settings that you can find if you touch the Up arrow next to the Text Input Selector available whenever you can input text, ie, SMS or email entry?
You get a pop up menu which has Text Input Settings as an option. If you select that you get an options dialog that has a heading 'XT9 Settings' one of which is 'Word Completion (XT9)' with an On/Off slider button. Toggle this to Off and you should find that when the keyboard is presented you are now set in ABC mode with no option to toggle into XT9 mod.
Should point out that I am running a standard ROM with Manila 2.1.

Does anyone know of any browsers that either have the ability to "bind" keys, or have directional buttons?
What I need to do is mimic the left and right arrow keys found on a normal keyboard.
I know there are a few keyboard apps that have these, but the problem is the page I need to use this on doesnt have a text box so the keyboard 1. does not pop up, and 2. does not interpret the arrows correctly.
Basically the page Im trying to do this on is a flash based page where you press either the left or right arrow key to get your next assignment. There are no visual "next" and "back" buttons on the page, which is making this really hard!
I just tried this app, and set my search key to "dpad left" and it didnt work in the browser... Maybe its not possible, idk.
Can someone please help me?
