same problem for me
Try this..from G-Alarm Online Manual
Don't wakeup at midnight
Because of the Windows alarm bug, G-Alarm wakes the device at midnight so Windows Mobile can rebuild its notification queue. If you turn this off by changing or adding following registry value, it may happen that an alarm doesn't go off:
MidnightWakeUp: False
in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ageye\G-Alarm"
thanks for this!

I have a windows mobile programming question:
I'm trying to write an application that will turn the phone to vibrate during a specific time of the day (when I'm at work). The problem I have is that when the phone goes to sleep my app apparently goes to sleep also. So my timer doesn't keep ticking to check if it is time to go to vibrate. Is there a way to keep my application running while the phone is in sleep mode so that the timer tick event is still called?
I would really appreciate any help, this is my first windows mobile app and don't know the intricacies of coding for windows mobile.
You may try the Unattended Mode...

like this?

imho, it's better to use the notification queue than have an application run in the background.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm doing. Though mine has a more graphical UI and is more touch friendly. I've finished everything except that when the phone falls asleep my timer event is not called to change the volume setting.

I'm a little confused by that article. Do I catch the event that the phone is falling asleep and then set it to unattended mode? Or is it that I would set it to unattended mode, and whenever the phone is supposed to fall asleep instead it goes to unattended mode?
Hello,
sorry for my English, but I want to know if anyone knows a program that makes the phone alarm on my HD2 even when turned off.
Alternatively there is a program to turn the phone at a certain time?
thanks
due to hardware limitation, once you turned the phone completed off, there is absolutely no method to wake it up on alarms, it is similar to unplug the power of your computer, then no programs will be able to operate
ok, thank you csabill.
Hi
I'm looking at this app G-Alarm from ageye.de don't know if is what you need it turns the mobile into flight mode during the night and after the alarm goes off it changes the profile back, at least that's what it says, might try it later.

This works i have it. It only turns off the transmitter which saves some power but the phone isnt off. Its also handy to stop being disturbed by your phone going off. You just have to remember to engage flight mode when you go to bed.
Hi everyone, I'm looking for the right alarm app for my purposes. I need the following features:
1. Large snooze button with difficult Dismiss button. I should preferably have to clear the alarm by going into the menu and turning them off. There should be basically no way that I can hit Dismiss on accident.
2. Per-alarm Snooze length. I like having the snooze be 10 minutes at first.. but if it's getting close to the time that I need to be up, I need it to be more like 2-3 minutes.
Klaxon works for the most part, but it kills my battery very quickly if I don't have it plugged in. I think it's because it keeps the screen on constantly. Maybe there's a way to turn this off? Also, with Klaxon, if my hand happens to hit the Snooze button (even while the alarm is not going off), the Snooze time gets reset. I think this may cause problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
youre basically asking for the windows mobile app "g-alarm" right?
no there is nothing exactly like that on android as far as i know (unfortunatly )
anway i use "math alarm clock" at the moment which is also a very versatile app. it lacks the decreasing snooze and the big snooze button though.
I use Good Morning by Flywheel. It's in the app store. Has a large snooze button. You should try it out. This one does not keep the screen lit.
Alarm Klock isn't bad.

Alarm pro ver. 2 uses teh math dismiss. It's essentially the 2.x alarm with varying snooze options and math capability for dismissal. Icon for it is a red bell alarm. Come to think of it though, it might be called alarm clock plus or something close to that...
Gentle Alarm works great for me, you can limit the number of snoozes, the "I am awake" button is small and requires acknowledgement before it'll shut off the alarm, and you can even have a "follow the path" style dismissal method similar to the lock screen security unlock dots if you want to make sure your brain is turned on before managing to turn off the alarm.
What I also like is that it has a "pre" alarm which wakes you up during a light portion of your sleep cycle if you're already in light sleep. Basically just means you're already almost awake, and you'll wake up easily. It basically just starts a very light and quiet alarm a configurable time before your real alarm. If you're in deep sleep you won't hear it, otherwise it'll wake you up during the right cycle of your sleep pattern. Much better than being startled awake in deep sleep.
And it works 100% of the time, never failed me.
Another vote for gentle alarm. Really really good, never failed to wake me up. Trial is fully functional just doesn't play alarm on wednesday.

+1 more for Gentle Alarm.
Hi,
I have an alcatel 5.5 with android 5.0.2 build LRX22G unroot. And times to times I missed my call because my phone take too long time waking up.
And more important, my alarm doesn't ring and I have a "alarm missed" notification. I also notice that time to time my clock on lockscreen take multiple seconde to update when I wake up the phone.
I'm thinking maybe I have a sort of sleep of death problem, my phone take too much time to wake up from deep sleep or not wake up at all. This morning I was awake before my 7am alarm, I don't touch my phone and the alarm ring only once 30min after and shutdown by itself.
Do you have any idea how I can resolved this ?
Thanks

I had something like this happen to my phone. It might have had to do with me installing a sleep alarm app, and never using it, or when I disabled automatic time zone and kept changing my date back and forth to cheat in Pokemon Shuffle. But the alarm continued to never go off, even after I re-enabled automatic time, and stopped messing with the date.
I fixed my issue by deleting my alarm times, and re-adding them.
y u cheating? lol

Hi nass06, check your PM, I answered you, but not sure it has been sent out, seems I have some problems answering PM's, at least they don't appear in my PM sent list.

That would be awesome if you could post your reply here for the benefit of those who run into this issue in the future.
Eh eh... But the answer was in french. :victory:
I just told him that finally I solved the issue by sending my phone to warranty repair. But my problem was related to a bad flash.
Here I don't know what's the root cause of this "sleep of death". I never had this issue.
I had issues with my alarm not going off. I was using the stock alarm. I then downloaded the Google Clock to set my alarm and didn't experience any more issues. Then the stock alarm provided by Alcatel was upgraded and I updated the app and it seems to be working better now.
Hey there,
I got my mi mix 3 since Monday. Great phone, only have one issue where my 3th party alarm doesn't seem to wake me in the morning. The phone looks like it's so deep into deep sleep that he doesn't wake up Hen the alarm is supposed to run off. Anyone has an idea how I can fix this? First day I got it the alarm worked btw, but after that it doesn't seem to run off or run off when I unlock the phone.

Have you tried to lock this app in memory and/or turning off battery saver for this app?
How do I lock it in memory? I disabled the battery saving option
