Replacing Contact Manager

Hi Guys, I had my Raphael for 2 weeks but only just found out about XDA-Dev
I love the device esp. once I put the new Romeos Rom on it , but the one thing that I can't put up with is Contact Manager!
I have found a replacement contact manager called Fingerfriendly, but it resides in the app area of windows mobile and won't launch when i choose all contacts from touchflo.
Any ideas how I can get it to do this? Or if there is another contact manager that will intergrate better with touchflo.
Thanks

Spb Mobile Shell v3.0.0 Build 6362 online

Hello everyone,
Here it is the shell everyone want. It's a trail version.
Just install it from your pc to your HD and have fun.
http://rapidshare.de/files/46782177/SpbMobileShell3_setup.exe.html
use this link to download it.
Have Fun.
Don't thank me but some other guys who made it possible.............
I want to but i'm not a developer. I'm going to try but i need some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone could help send me some mail.
Well,
I haven't tried any of the programs like a mobile shell because I was happy with the TF3D. And I guess that it wil be that way because when the program was installed and I wasn't happy with it, I uninstalled it.
After that the TF3D didn't respond anymore. No manilla files could be deleted (I searched some threads here) and nothing would work. Lucky for me I used a ROM update so i didn't lose much after the hard reset i've done, but still.
Any one who has the same problem after the uninstall????
This is far the most beautiful application I have used on my phone.Fully tweakable. You can add anything you want as a widget, move, make smaller or larger etc.
Multiple screens.Pro layout or plain.Backround wallpapers. You can use any SPB as a plugin and so much more that I don't know where to begin.
Anyway you must try it out.

How can that be?
Did you install it?
If not then do so and find out for yourself that it is a "trial" version.
SPB allows almost all their software to be used on a trial basis for 15 days before purchase.
THIS IS NO DIFFERENT.
The only thing I can see that might be an issue is that its not relaeased for commercial download yet.
If you want to post please do so, but please make sure what you post is accurate

been waiting for this!

Hi
I am using this and it is great!
I first tried it yesterday om WM6.1 and after install the background was black in professional layout.
today I installed WM6.5 and the background is blue.
Does anybody know how to change this to black?
Click on Launcher, then click on righthand bottom soft button (one that has a check pattern). Tools, theme and choose colour from there.
I tried this and also tried pointui 2 and bell ui. I always go back to manilla. Love it so. Better imo.
when it is finally out, having free upgrade for spb mobile 2.x users is wishful thinking right?
has anyone noticed, there is no today plugin in this version of mobile shell??? i got kinda used to it!
official version release is now available
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/
SPB Mobile Shell can be ran from the SD Card !!!! Saves humongous space.
Use SKTools' Move Folder Function to move the entire SPB Mobile Shell folder to your SD Card, but be sure to kill all processes first, otherwise, it won't allow you to move anything.

Manila 2D and Easy Contact

Hi there,
I'm using Manila 2D and Easy Contact. Before, I was using iContact, and if I clicked on "All People" in the M2D-Tab, there comes up iContact. But with Easy Contact, there comes the normal Outlook-Contacts of WM... Any idea?
Thx,
MCXSC
Well, this isn't really an answer to your question (I think this is just a good time to throw it out there), but it would be nice if there was a way to set default programs, like on a PC.
Then problems like this might be non-existent.

Actually you can, using programs like SKTools, or I believe Schap's Advanced Configuration.
Try checking your settings in easy contact as i now use easy contact and it launches from all people and from contacts in my dialler it has fully replaced the old wm contacts

HTC Sense & SPB Mobile Shell.

Does anyone know of a method of switching between these two shells on the HD2? It seems to me it's impossible to get Sense to run without uninstalling SPB, which seems a bit ridiculous to me. I like both interfaces and would like to choose one or the other depending on my mood.
Yes, I have the same problem with my htc hd and spb shell 3.5
anybody found a solution?
Especially given the fact that some apps are actually integrated into Sense, and once disabled, you are unable to access or use them!

Unfortunately, No.
It seems that SPB mobile shares resources (classes) with HTC sense. Once SPB mobile is installed, SPB mobile overwhelms HTC sense. Either SPB Mobile or HTC sense, not both.
I use SPB mobile and Leo.
It's a pity. Many functions of HTC Leo cannot be used then. So, if you love HTC sense, don't use SPB mobile; if you desperately want SPB mobile, don't buy Leo.
I think the burden should be on SPB. It is their responsibility to develop interface software that compatible with their target.
Unfortunately, they have not taken this responsibility.

It's a bit bizarre that you can't have an SPB shortcut in the quicklinks. Maybe someone will resolve that, because that would really help!
haha... nice one

yeah true... i think someone tried to map the left softkey to spb home but that didnt work either. At least we have some form of switching for the time being.

Yes, you are right, I was wrong. I am happy that I was wrong!
I tried. It works. The solution is quite simple indeed, surprisingly. Many thanks for the amazing solution.
I searched official forum of SPB but no solution is presented there. People on that forum discussed and all despaired at last. So I thought Spb and Sense cannot live together.
Someone wrote in this forum that s/he still uses HTC because there is XDA-developers. I join his/her comment.
Sense is sluggish and causes the same in SPB!

I havent seen this at all!
SPB has been good as gold as has sense (only time sense ever lags is when it loads upon startup).
In fact if you install Chainfire's revamped graphics drivers for Leo, SPB works with 3D acceleration on which it didnt do without the patch!

Seriously, download the trial. Don't just buy it before trying it. I downloaded the trial and instantly loved it, but went off it after a couple of days. I just prefer Sense (we're all different!)
Get the trial first
Good idea Didn't realize it was shareware. I installed it and don't seem to miss anything (that I needed) so can someone please tell me what is not working with SPB Mobile Shell, because obviously I'm either blind or stupid or just don't need the functions that are lost when using SPB vs. Sense.
With HTC HD we could switch between the interface without disabling either. But with Sense it's impossible, I tried all I could and when I switched to SPB, Sense came automaticaly back after launching any apps. So the solution is installing SPB and deleting the shortcut SPB which is in Windows/Start and then go to the settings and Today and then you choose Windows Today and not Sense, then you can launch SPB mobile shell.

The program places a link in root/windows/Start Menu/Programs.
If you have a ROM in another language than English, the folder 'Start Menu' may be named otherwise. E.g. in Dutch it is called 'Startmenu/Programma's'.
Solution: copy the link to the appropriate start folder.
After the move or copy you 'll find the program in Start.

Contact Manger with fingerfriendly option to edit contacts

Hey guys!
i got a little question about contact managers. if already tried a couple managers (like icontact, pocketcm) but in none of them i was able to find a way to edit my contacts more fingerfriendly. as soon as i wanted to edit a contact (new number, email, whatever) or create a new one i always had to use the standard windows mobile interface which sucks in my eyes.
so my questions:
is there a manager thats has a better gui to edit contacts? if yes which one?
do icontact, pocketcm already provide that option and i just didnt saw ít?
please help me and give me advice how you manage this "problem"
i hope i posted in the right forum otherwise please move it to the right section.
thx

Try O3Touch

I don't need the stylus at all with it.
Moved as not software release....

PocketCM does it. For new contact, edit contact, etc... the only thing that is still "windows mobile" is contact picture selection.
hey!
@stylez: thanks for moving. wasnt shure which section is correct.
@claus: thx ill try it and give a freedback
@tene: which version are you using? any specific theme plugin or whatever? because in my version it dosnt work.
edit: @tene: yeah youre right the version i installed couple minutes ago offers that option but i got all sorts of problems with the themes of it and with the keyboard on my 6.5 rom. maybe ill have to try a different keyboard and check whether that will help. or maybe it does not work properly on wm6.5
@claus: well the function is good but the view is a little ugly...
