Hi
While my HD2 is away for repair i am stuck with a Nokia 2760 loan fone. Believe it or not the nokia has a feature I would LOVE to have on my HD2.
The nokia PC suite connects to the phone using Bluetooth and alerts you to new text messages etc. It then allows you to view the message and even reply.
Is there any program that can do this for the HD2?
Apologies if this has been asked before
Take a look here :
http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/outreach/dnloads/smsSender.mspx
though I think it's only for sending SMS outbound
I use the Jeyo Mobil Extender ! www.jeyo.com
So, I can see my SMS Messages in Outlook, get Notify in Outlook if a new SMS there and can send SMS Messages with outlook.
Thought I'd try that MS one but just found after installing that it doesn't work in vista. Bah!
try this

you could try panda pc suite , its quite useful for just about anything including showing incoming calls/ sms chat etc

This is something many people would like to have the choice and should not be that difficult to find out (registry?), but I'm not the big reg-hacker
The idea is how to set the Treo to write, show, send and receive SMS text messages with the standard pocket Outlook application of WM5.
Why?
Because I like to have emails and SMS collected within one application AND I want to sync SMS using Jeyo with my desktop Outlook.
Ideas?
hi, i always wondered, how it would be possible to save sms on my pc. with my vpa i used jeyo mobile extender, too. with the treo it doesnt work.
did you find a solution?
unfortunately not. sometimes I wonder how is it possible that only I do see such important things (from my point of view) but nobody else
Im using the Excalibur now and I am very happy with it, but still I ned to touch my Treo every evening, its just too sexy.
Hi Fellow Smartphone Users.
I have just moved over from a Treo 750V to the HTCS710
despite a few concerns playing with the handset did it in the end as i wanted a new toy.
Anyway the new version of outlook does not give you a option to select text from send messages. Some times you only want to send some text you have had in a email on to another party........How?.
I have tried sissor mobile and this will let you do it in a email you are writing but not one you have received?.
There was another program i noted Vitocopy however this does not seem to work on this handset...!
Any ideas?
Use Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5
www.jeyo.com
Sorry rahulgty
Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 does not seem to have that function
If you go into a mail you have sent and try to access the text within the email you can see it but not copy it...
Again if someone has sent you an email you can again see the text but not access this text, other than view it.
Its crazy it is supposed to be a smarthphone.
Regards

Treo and SMS
Hello,
I am the CEO for SynergeTech Solutions, the makers of Windows Mobile SMS Sync. For some reason, Palm decided to build their own proprietary SMS software for their Windows Mobile phones. Any application built to use the default Windows Mobile SMS data store will therefore return zero messages as they are not stored there for these devices.
At one time, Palm offered an SDK that possibly would have contained the APIs needed to interface with their proprietary message store for SMS. Unfortunately, they seem not to offer it anymore and I have been unable to get a response form them for guidance on obtaining it.
To the best of my knowledge, there are no backup/export applications in existence that can interface with these devices. If I am incorrect, or if anyone has the Palm Windows Mobile SDK, I would love to be corrected. My company is actively working on adding support for Palm devices and I will be sure to update this thread as soon as a Palm compatible version of Windows Mobile SMS Sync is released.
Thanks,

SMS Backup
I too have been looking for a "sync" utility for SMS for the Treo 750.
Haven't found one yet, but I backup my messages to my PC simply by copying the message database. The SMS database is one file named PalmMsgV001 in the windows directory. Using ActiveSync Explorer on your PC it's as simple as "copy and paste".
synergetech solutions is a joke!
crappy customer service. mostly all reviews of their products seem like "paid" reviews. f'n crap company.
mr. "ceo" wannabe. step up your game.
Hey all,
I was wondering if there is any phone manager third party or Microsoft software which we can use to sync windows mobile phones to the computer and like the sony ericsson's third party mobile manager, send text messages, receive text messages to our computer screens for which we can reply using our computer.
The back up's of all text messages, contacts and outlook are also taken care of by the software. If windows mobile phones are compatible with any such software i'd be glad to know about it.
cheers.

You can use a combination of ActiveSync (for syncing) and MyMobiler (for controlling the device from the PC).
Thanks but does it let us send texts from the computer itself??
Thanks alot!!! this is amazing.. cheers!!!
I currently use a Windows Mobile 6.5 device, and I love the SMS integration with Active Sync in combination with Exchange 2010 (new SMS will appear in the inbox, and it ist possible to write SMS in Outlook with "new item" -> "text message" - this text messages will then be synched back via AS to the device, and the device sends it).
until yesterday I thought that Windows Mobile 6.5 is the only mobile OS witch supports this function (even Windows Phone 7 doesn't support SMS integration!), but: a colleague of me flashed a new ROM (Darky 10.2.2 -> Gingerbread 2.3.4) on his Galaxy S yesterday, and: SMS-AS integration in combination with Exchange 2010 is now working with his device!!! - the first time I've seen that with an other mobile OS than Windows Mobile 6.5!
the reason for the thread here: I'm very interested in the HTC Sensation, and I think about to get one, but: SMS integration with Active Sync is important for me, so is it working with the sensation? Is this a feature of Gingerbread, or does the Galaxy have a "special messaging client" with SMS support? Has anyone seen a Sensation with working AS-SMS integration? If yes: which ROM is needed, or which "hack" is needed?

tbh i do miss how my nokia popped up , new sms on laptop and could reply on it

as I can see in the manual this product doesn't use Microsoft Active Sync (AS) over the air! So that's not a solution for me! AS itself does support SMS-Syncing over the air, my question is which requirements on an Android phone are necessary for SMS Syncing, and if the Sensation has all the reqirements, or how it is possible to get SMS-Syncing with the Sensation working? As I mentioned: Samsungs Galaxy S in combination with Darkys ROM does the job!
some screenshot how SMS integration looks like...
... just to be sure that it is clear what I'm speaking about!
Touchdown for Excahnge does it... sort of
Touchdown for Exchange has a checkbox "Enable SMS Sync" in settings. I use Exchange 2010, and when I activated this setting on my phone, I receive an email from the Exchagne Server:
Congratulations! After connecting your mobile device to Exchange Server 2010, you can now send text messages from Outlook 2010 and Outlook Web App on your computer. You can also receive and reply to text messages.
To start sending text messages from your computer, close and reopen Outlook 2010 or Outlook Web App.
Now you've got one more way to communicate with friends, family, and colleagues. To find out more about using Text Messaging from your Inbox, click here.
Note: If you previously set up text message notifications in Outlook Web App, they've been turned off because the Exchange ActiveSync access you set up on your phone will keep you up to date.

Now I can SEND SMS from Outlook, but I have not been able to receive on my Desktop/Outlook. For that I use Desktop Notifier or Mighty Text.
You answered to a one year old thread .
Anyway, I have a question. Can you confirm that you could't activate SMS sync without Touchdown?
