my question:
1. How do I use the 'streaming media' program that asks for rtsp:\\?
2. I also want to stream video directly from my PC from my tytn. i had to set my PC as a VPN server for my tytn to view the shared media file but it wouldnt play anything. I could only view the files.

I have the HTC network plugin installed which allows me to view all my shared files and folders from my desktop on my device. I use TCPMP to access my desktop shared files and folders to view my appropriately converted videos and listen to my desktop's music collection. (All this at home over WIFI connection.
When away from home but still using WIFI (any open unlocked WIFI hotspot) I use Winamp remote which I can leave running on my desktop at home. Logon to winamp remote from winamp remote website using my internet browser on my device and access my shared folders (had to direct to these specific folders using Winamp remote from desktop first) and view videos or listen music on my device which are on my desktop computer at home.
thanks for the reply. i tried the HTC network plugin. it looks like a promising little tool but it fails to detect my PC i am afraid.
i am also curious as to why I can ONLY view the shared files on my PC while doing a search through the 'file explorer' over a VPN connection seeing that my Tytn II and my PC are on the same network? this seems unneccesary and I think is the reason why the network plugin wont detect any PC on the network.
not sure what I am doing wrong.
p.s. the TCPMP woulnt install on my tytn II either.
I installed the tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab . it gives me an error msg "unexpected program failure.please send crash.txt to developers"
i am using WM6.1

I'm surprised it won't install. Download it from another site and try again.
strange strange - i tried the network plugin with a XDA Ignito aka HTC touch diamond and it worked like a charm. was able to detect all devices on my network and was able to run all media file using coreplayer. PERFECT
gotto thank hotrod101 for pointing me in the right direction.
so i guess i need to sort out my tytn II out - i cant say i m very happy with the device. i ve had problem with it ever since i ve updated it with WM6.1 and prior to it.
still looking forwarding to hearing from someone about the rtsp:\\ streaming media thingy bobby.
I have WM6.5 on my TP and I used to listen to Lex and Terry radio show on it when my local radio show turned them off at 9am. I drive a long distance so it entertains me for the drive. Anywho, now they have "secured" the URL so you can't stream it anymore unless thru the web browser on their site. Since Opera will not play it I am stuck.
I did manage to get the streaming link, and it works on my computer but I don't know how to get it to work on my phone:
http://a1871.l4072211870.c40722.g.l...wlexandterrycom&SITE_ID=11513&STATION_ID=LTTX
It works on Windows Media Player on my comp, just not on the phone. I tried Coreplayer and WMP.
Having the same exact problem as you.
Me too. Bump.
I emailed Peter and he said:
"When we moved to the new site, part of that came with having to "secure" the stream... meaning that there is no URL to give, you have to listen thru that browser, which doesn't work on most smart phones... sorry.
hopefully an app or the software for your browser will come about soon."
Maybe if he gets a few more emails he will make an available URL we can run through CorePlayer.
P.S. I don't think the URL I posted works anymore.
It will work in Skyfire. However since Skyfire will timeout after like 5min of activity you have to keep touching the screen. Anyone know a workaround so Skyfire wont time out?

The SkyFire timeout is the worst feature ever.
i downloaded the playlist file and it opened with kinoma.
kinoma is asking for username and password.
so my question is what is the user and pass or where can i go to create my own user and pass.
sorry to digg this post from the grave but i found it through google while trying to figure out how to stream lex and terry since my current radio station dropped the show.
does anyone know where i can register.
I always use spb online, and in there there is a radio application which you can open a link
Hi,
I've been looking for a program that could download entire websites. I,ve used Teleport Pro and Backstreet Browser on a PC computer before and would be glad if somebody could point me to a program like that for PocketPC (WM6.1)
TIA
Dear all,
I have an HTC HD2 (a.k.a. HTC Leo), running Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, and it may have a problem.
I tried to install Flash Player on my mobile device in order to watch online videos in Internet Explorer Mobile. I found, however, that this only stopped the one website that I could play videos in, YouTube, from playing. I uninstalled the player and found that I still could not play even YouTube videos.
What can I do? As I understand it, a mobile browser needs to include Flash in order to play online videos. I have heard conflicting accounts as to whether Internet Explorer Mobile is or is not a Flash browser. I only knew of the one site that I could play videos on and now I cannot even use that one. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Karim434
P.S. My reason for doing this is that the famous substitute for the absence of a flash browser on Windows phones, Skyfire, has recently decided to abandon Windows Mobile users. If anyone knows of any decent alternatives then that would be good too. Thanks!
Can anyone help me with finding a suitable Internet browser for my HTC HD2 running Windows Mobile 6.5?
The chief consideration is flash support. The device comes with Opera Mobile and Windows Mobile Internet Explorer, both of which can play some online video content but not nearly all.
I used to use Skyfire for viewing online video content and then, when they stopped supporting Windows Mobile, moved to uZard. This, like Skyfire before it, was brilliant but has now stopped working. I don't know why; I contacted the company and posted details of the problem on this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377265) but I have had no replies.
So I am trying (and so far failing) to find another mobile browser that can be used on Windows Mobile 6x devices and can view, at least, the majority of online video content.
Any ideas, anyone?
