Audio Booster shutting down after each song - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

So we all know about this issue and are a little pissed off by it. However I may have fixed it but am not 100% sure.
After loking at the registry there appeared to be a couple of things that could be causing this. The following reg keys need to be changed to try and fix this issue.
these are the Key changes i made
HKLM/Software/HTC/AudioBooster/
Change
Low_Mem_Handle from 1 to 0
Mem_Require from 3145728 to 1048576
HKLM/Software/HTC/AudioManager_Eng/Config
Request_Memory from 3145728 to 1048576
This on it's own may be enough but I also changed 1 more. This will only apply if you have the HTC TaskManager installed though. There are some programs that the HTC Task Manager are set to install so I added this to the list of execptions.
HKCU/Software/HTC/TaskManager/ExclusiveList/System
Add a new Dword key with a Value of 0 and call it AudioBooster.exe
I have tested this a little and it appears to work but am unsure if this is a permanent fix. If anyone with skills can create a cab for this as well i would appreciate this.

David,
Smaberg already made a cab here:
17/12 -09 Touch X Keep Audio Booster Running.cab -Another way to keep Audio Booster running while playing music
on this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584415
You should maybe check with Smaberg if the registry tweaks are the same.
regards.

No that is a different reg key fix but it doesn't work for me.

This aint working for me atleast...

Doesn't work for me on a stock ROM 1.66. I've have the Dutch version so maybe this has something to do with it? I'd really like to have a solution for Adiobooster shutting down every time. It really sucks and don't understand HTC why they've done that in the first place.

Changing enter_suspend to 0 worked for me once, but when I used the audiobooster again it started shutting down again .
Edit: It seems your settings have worked, hoping it stays this way

Didn't work Any Solution?

with miri`s rom v10 or elegancia rom + a few others audio booster does not turn off. tested for a week.

Not a permanent solution but at least it works.
When you select the EQ in Audio Booster, press the home button rather than pressing done and it will run in the background.

In RTT´s ROMs is it fixed as well. I guess all the newer Custom ROMs seem to have fixed that issue, as I have tested several of it and it is working fine

How did they fix it? Then we should be able to fix it in this rom right?

Edit: Oops

l am also interested in how did they fixed it...
this bug its annoying .. i tried other equalizer apps but the audio booster sounds best, when it works...so i want to use it.
i installed the last update from htc according music stability but the audio booster still switches off. i noticed that it stays on if the changes between two songs are shorter than
approx. 3 seconds... it seems if the booster turns off when there is no sound for several seconds...what about the software cracks must be possible to fix it...
any idea?

Please help me adjust my mic sensitivity

To all Wizard gurus,
I have recently flashed my G3 Wizard (T-Mobile MDA) with Windows Mobile 6.1 Octavioi ROM. I am very happy with the ROM, but I'm having a problem with others hearing me.
I think I've read somewhere here that you can adjust your microphone by modifying the registry or something, but I've been searching for literally hours and can't find any threads on this topic.
Also note that background noise seems to be OVER-emphasized while my voice seems very UNDER-emphasized.
PLEASE HELP; it would be great if I could get these settings adjusted and start really enjoying my phone.
For the sake of future searchers, I'm including some keywords below:
mic microphone adjust adjustment adjusting gain sensitivity volume increase decrease mouthpiece
hey, try to use battery-status and set application based overclocking
and put there phone and use 195MHz
i find that when i used overclocking a lot of people have problems to hear me clearly - and that option in b-s helped me - give it a try.
***UPDATE***
It looks as if I need an 'extended' version of this application to do application-specific overclocking. Does anyone know if Battery Status Extended is available for or compatible with the Wizard (running WM6)?
pleasehelp said:
Thank you for the tip; I downloaded Battery Status and installed it, and I have it actively working on my system, but for some reason I cannot access application-specific clock settings.
Can you either tell me how to do this, or show me a thread where I can find this information?
Thanks a mil...

i've had problems with microphone in my wizard. basically, people complained, that they can't hear me very well. i also found these registry keys, did some tests and changed RECEIVE_UPLINK_VOLUME and EARPHONE_UPLINK_VOLUME values to CC. after that change, microphone sensitivity got better and didn't receive any more complaints.

Also looking for the same fix. It seems most people replied for a volume adjustment for the output and not mic adjustment for input being over sensitive (also causes feedback/screeching). Thanks.

long phone lag when trying to answer a call HTC Touch Pro

Does anyone know of a fix for the long lag in answering calls for the HTC Touch Pro? If you can help please write back in the simplest terms! I am just learning how to use the phone and finally learned how to download and install cab files.
Thanks!

What have you installed (to cause this problem)?
Do a search for "diamond tweak". There is an option to shorten the delay when an incoming calls rings. Perhaps that will help.
if you have S2U2 installed, you could try uninstalling or disabling that. You could also switch from the Diamond dialpad to the regular WinMo dial pad (the screen you see when go to the dialer). You can make this change using the Advanced Config Tool (i'm pretty sure, if not, then try Diamond Tweak).
There's also the initial delay value in the registry as mentioned in the last post.
These should all help, some more than others though.
there actually is an issue with Diamond tweak and advanced config...
if you use them to set your data disconnect time if re writes a registry value that makes your phone fritz when trying to answer calls.in reg editor go to HKLM/comm/connmgr/planner.
Look for a entry of suspendresume. change that to #777. shold cure your issue. while you are there if you want to help out your battery change the Cachetime value to 60. that will kill your data afret 60 seconds of no use.
weird.....suspendresume on mine shows ~GPRS! as a value??

thanks for the suggestions and how do I fix the hang up lag?
The slow delay in answering calls was a problem right out of the box. When I installed the slide to answer function the phones responsiveness greatly improved. There is also a huge lag from the time I end a call to the time I can go back to my home screen. Any suggestions for fixing that lag?

no idea, but i have the same thing
No luck with the tweak mentioned in post #5. However, after I replaced the HD CallerID with the default WM one (which is not that bad!) the phone responds rapidly :
1) Zero lag between first caller's ring and screen respond.
2) Almost zero lag between first caller's ring and bluetooth handset ring.
3) Less than 0.5 ring before the device starts ringing.
Only a minor problem : The bluetooth icon does not show any more on the taskbar although the BT connections works fine !
Ok, where do you change to the default caller ID? I tried the registry edit and changing to the default dialer skin and had the same problem. This is so frustrating! About 50% of the time when it rings I hit the answer button and nothing happens. It even takes about 10 seconds before the screen changes from the home screen to the phone screen when it starts ringing.
How big a file for the ringtone are you using? The bigger the file, IMHO, the longer it'd take for the phone to load it...
Delete your call history and the lag after hanging up should disappear.
Htc Diamond Regedit
Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC.
I used PHM Regsitry. I found the Suspendresume key, and it wrote GPRS!
I clicked the key, and because I did not know who to change the value, I just wrote #777.
Now when I try to go there and change what I did, when I click Settings in regedit, it is emty or the program crackes.
Please help.
Paches and fixes
Goto HTC's website. There is a patch to resolve the issue for the delay in sound when answering calls.
Regarding the delay after the phone cal has been discontinued use "Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3" (search this site). There is a setting that you can change to resolve it (default is 3000ms[3sec])

This hangup delay is one of the first settings I changed when I got the phone. Almost everytime I scroll through contacts phonebooks, the phone would accidentally dial, so I press end end end repeatedly, but by the time it hangs up, the other party already had my caller id, and would call back asking why I called.
Why is this 3 sec delay built-in? There must be a reasoning behind it.
And while we're on the delay issue, why did they set the camera up with a 3-5 second delay to shoot? Is it for the autofocus? I got rid of the reg setting, now the camera is faster, and no autofocus issues... so why were these delays there to begin with?

its in Schaps Advanced config 3.3 under Camera. But i digress...
it still begs the question, from an engineering standpoint, why did they set up these delays and lags?

I don't know if you resolved your issue.
You just have to erase "~GPRS!" and type in "#777"
No quotes of course.
I use Dotfred Task Manager 3.1
Same problem
I recently got this problem with the answer lag, I was using the same rom, same applications, same everything for the past few weeks. I am not entirely sure what caused the problem.
What would happen is when I get a call and I hit the answer key, the phone stops ringing and vibrating but it would still be flashing and has the phone number shown, I also have the slider installed and when I slide it, the same problem comes up!
In my reg editor, I do not have HKLM!
Any advise would be appreciated, this is getting annoying for both sides of the call.
Thank You
UPDATE
I actually may have found the solution, I removed the wireless manager shortcut when holding the answer button, and so far it's been working very quickly.
Go to settings -> Buttons and switch "button 1" from w/e u had to "<none>" I didn't even restart my phone...
2nd Update
Nope, just got an international call and it's holding it up... maybe it has to do with caller ID ?
HKLM is HKey_Local_Machine

New ROM - no more permanent changes in the registry?!!

Go to
HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\AutoDeviceLockEnable = 0
Try to change the value to 1
It's not possible.
The entry disappears and a new entry "Locklevel" appears.
"Locklevel" is set to 0.
Now try to change this to 1.
This works, but after Softreset the value of Locklevel is 0 again.
You see, you can't permanently change some registry entrys anymore.
It seem's that the new ROM has some special security "improvements".
Or is it a Bug of the new ROM? Maybe this is the reason why it's not officially available over HTC website?
Any ideas???
I can't reproduce the first step but I can reproduce the second.
I'm perfectly able to set the enableautolock key to 1, but (and this is the weirdest thing) it hasn't any effects, even after a softreset. What I noticed though, is that BsB tweaks 1.2 reports that the autolock is off, despite the fact that the enableautolock key is set to 1 (and stays 1 also after a soft reset).
Until I set autolock manually to on in BsB tweaks the registry values doesn't have any effect. After I switch the autolock on in BsB tweaks the autolock works perfectly after a softreset. (Yet, there isn't anything changed in the registry)
I stand by my case, it is BsB tweaks that is causing this problem and not the new ROM. (Again, after my upgrade I hadn't any problems whatsoever with the lock status. It was after the installation of BsB tweaks that the problems occured).
Locky me , the lock works perfectly now
It must be the ROM because even after hard reset there is no Auto Lock!!!
Which ROM do you have?

the new one, 1.48.
Which one from this list. I have the official dutch rom and do not have the problems you mentioned.
I've the german ROM.
But I just noticed that after a new hard reset it suddenly worked.
Now it looks as if you were right, the problem must be BSB Tweaks 1.2.
Glad it worked out for you. Cheers
hi guys!
it's not my app problem, there are 2 reg keys to enable auto lock:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\AutoDeviceLockEnable
HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\DeviceLockWhenSuspend
the reg key handled by my program is the second one that's why when you change the first one the status of the tweaks doesnt change. Anyways if you enable autolock first key will be edited also.

I use german 1.48 and BSB Tweaks 1.2.
The Auto Lock problems appeared first after having installed BSB Tweaks.

but i still dont know wich problem you have? it doesnt auto lock? you cant change registry? or my app is not working? xD
if it doesnt autolo lock is because you have to lock it for first time manually the other should be fine, at least i havent seen anyone else with problems (apart from the locking manually first time or it wont work (wich is a rom prob))
I'm glad that has been cleared up. BsB (edit: makeveral), thanks for your clarification on this point. Keep up the good work.
Hmm. Now, after having locked the phone manually, it seems to work. Thanks!
But, what i don't understand, is, that without BSB, after hard reset, it worked normal (without having to lock the phone manually the first time).

SRSWow

anyone have this on their Mega?
I have in a custom Rom, but did not pay a lot of attention to this app......
possible to extract out the program?
Sure, I can attach. Will do that tonight when I get back. Have a few versions check which one is best.....
WOW
this is a gr8 app and works fine with mega , sound quality really improves
As promised.....
thanks a lot . which one works with Mega? do i have to tweak the registry to make it works?
Not sure which one is best.....try them both.
No changing of registry needed.
tried both, hard reset, still cannot work. it seems that it cannot load the driver. luckily can uninstall. any other file can be use?
Could not find a better version......check this thread with some other options like changing registry. Hope this helps.......

Thanks..hopefully one of these works.
Why does my sound not work at ALL now !?
even when i press the volume up key, all the way to max there isnt even a progression of higher sounds. Then if i exit that and press volume up key again, it starts from the bottom again, even though i just put the volume up to max
please help, dont know wtf is going on, i installed the "SRS.WOW.HD.v1.28.5.0.ENG.RUS.WM5.WM6.cab" then the problem above happened, so i then installed "SRS_WOW_HD 121.cab" and the problem is still there

[Q] How to set in-call volume to max and stay there

Here is the thing, I just can't come around to permanently set my in-call volume to stay in maximum setting. Everytime someone calls, I have to crank side volume buttons to the max. However, I have to repeat this for every call as it automatically sets itself somewhere in the middle. Boy, this is annoying.
I have WM 6.5 HTC MEGA (TOUCH 2)
This was registry edit for the same issue on a different device though.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/CONTROLPANEL/SOUNDCATAGORIES/INCALL = INITVOL - WAS 2, CHANGED IT TO 4.
Check registry to see if it exists and give it a try. Soft reset is required after edit.
good day.
