just a quick question. Is there a fixed HTC Black theme cab for WM 6.5.3 roms? The "blue" theme start bar on the bottom looks horrible with HTC Sense. I read in multiple threads, though, that the original "HTC Black" theme does not work on 6.5.3 out of the box. Has anyone fixed this or can anyone recommend a similar theme that makes the lower and upper bars in WM6.5.3 black?

Which theme is that? This looks ok. Most pictures show the "Blue" theme, where the entire bottom and top bar is blue. Why do you have two start buttons, though? One is bottom one is top.

This one is pretty nice, also. There are 6.5 and 6.5.X versions. The thread starts with the top (notification) taskbar mods; scroll down for the Black themes and bottom softkeybars. I am currently using it with NRG's 23XXX ROM's.

Hi! Does anybody have the original white rounded taskbar from WP 6.5? I have searched and searched for a long time but every time I find the same squared one that is in the Leo original
I had it on my Diamond when I flashed some 6.5 roms.

I want a black and white taskbar that works on the latest official ROM HTC (6.6xxxx ...). The original taskbar is really ugly. I downloaded a black and white taskbar, but an icon does not work. It's the sound icon. It is not compatible with the latest official HTC ROM. I can not return the original taskbar and I can not find more beautiful black and white taskbar. Could you help me find a beautiful black and white taskbar?

Here is a solution for the volume icon problem:
Volume icon bug:
The new 1.66 ROM's seems to have a bug with volume icon. When installing a new battery icon, the volume icon disappears.
Solution:
Just delete these reg-keys to get volume icon back with custom taskbar:

The choice for B&W taskbars for WinMo 6.5 is not that big...
Maybe you could like this one (scroll down for "black metal", you will see all icons, too) - I like it, there is only little color inside, but very useful in the daily usage...

I'm trying to get my top and bottom taskbars transparent. But I have no success.
I tried the cab from smaberg, changed the manila files in windows folder and also removed the taskbar.png with transparent ones.
All this doesn't work for me.
Who has a solution for Manila 2.5.19211619.0.

For transparent taskbars you have to use "HDWall" - search for it
smabergs cab is only for the cutains behind the operator logo and the bottom slider

But tbh, this is not a solution for transparency... It just replaces the black backgrounds in the top and bottom with slices of the selected wallpaper, meaning that as long as you can see the top bar, even if in a program, it will have the same slice of the wallpaper.
Real transparency comes for example when you press the windows hard button and get to that menu, that's a real transparent bar at the top... Although it might work in the same way, what do I know. I just find it too ugly that when you're in another program the top bar still has the slice of the wallpaper..

I tried HDWall. But the result is not satisfying. The bottom taskbar is now like the wallpaper. But the top is black. If I go to start menu the background is from the theme only the bottom taskbar is from the wall paper.
If I slide the menu I can't see the background. All is black except the bottom taskbar.
At the end this is ugly.

I played a bit around and deactivated Sense. So there´s the standard WM 6.5.5 homescreen - with transparent taskbar & softbar. Why isn´t this possible with Manila?

I also want to ask the same question but still waiting for solution around the web.
I have installed Sprint Lovers ROM CE OS 5.2.28232 (Build 28232.5.3.3) on my Sprint TP2.
In this ROM, the softkeys in the bottom menubar are all round. However, I have seen screen shots of many other wm6.5.3 custom ROMs that have the more elegant round version of menubar's softkeys. Compare the menubars in my two screen shots to see what I mean.
Does anyone know how to change the menubar softkeys to the round versions? If anyone knows of any ROM that has this added features for Sprint TP2, please let me know.

For those interested, someone replied to my post in PPCGeeks. All you have to do is change the theme from HTC Black to Classic Blue or others in the settings.
Here is another request for everyone. Does anyone know of a CAB for a theme that preserves the HTC Black them but uses the round buttons instead of the squared ones? I don't like the blue, red, purple, orange, or green highlighting that I get from these other themes. I rather have the gray highlighting of HTC Black theme, but I want to get the round buttons instead of the squared ones. Does anyone know of a way doing this?

i've trying to skin a qvga theme for 6.5.5 (build 23569) to get the background in black and the text in white, sort of the opposite of what the current look is in WinMo...
i've searched all over xda and a ton on other pda sites but i kept drawing blanks and heading into dead-ends...
i just need to know how to get an effect similar to what is achieved here or here
but instead of a gray shade or partial blackened areas, i'd like it all to be a solid black color with white text...
the only option that i can see left for me is to build up a theme from scratch but despite of the tiny few tutorials posted here, the all crucial part regarding the background color is still shockingly missing...
so...anyone??
