I've changed to a black wm6.5 theme and disabled htc menu so the menus can be black as the themes too. used a black gif as the compose sms background too, (apparently that one stays white after applying the theme).
Now what is lacking is a blacked skinned keyboard. I'm very comfirtable with the default keyboard, don't think i wanna use touchpal or other sips. Any way to get them in black? thanks!

Hi
Where can we download a freeware theme with white background and black text for our 750v
Try this out - took a couple minutes and made one. Hope it works for you. Looks pretty good on mine - thanks for the idea.
Great work thanks - wanted to get a no frills today screen just to see how it looks and perform - at least we have a choice
Inside programs / settings etc pages with colored background
Hi is there a way to make the above pages the same color as today theme color for eg if the today theme is black in color with white text, could the programs, settings, and sub-pages be in black with white text too - to integrate the look and feel
Not that I know of. The options are not there to do so in a theme generator anyway. You would need to do some other changes (which I'm sure are possible I just don't know them) outside of a theme.
I love the default black HTC theme but it gives me one big problem. The toolbars for some applications display very badly in this theme. If the application uses dark icons on its toolbar then you almost get a black-on-black toolbar (the www.memory-map.co.uk mapping software is an example as is the Pocket A-Z (http://www.a-zmaps.co.uk/?nid=95) that can be downloaded from handango). Some applications however (like the Mobile Microsoft Office apps) seem to override the theme and use a grey background for their toolbars so they are readable.
I have confirmed that this is a problem with the theme because I tried switching to the default WM theme (the one below the HTC theme in the list) and then the mapping software shows a perfectly readable toolbar with dark icons against grey background.
Are there any tweaks or third party applications that can make an application pick up a different background for it's toolbars? Is there some toolbar-background property in a theme that can be individually treaked to be grey while still leaving the taskkar and soft key bar unchanged (i.e. black-ish)? Failing this, does anyone have any other ideas (apart from the obvious one of forsaking my preferred theme and switching permanently to the blue one)?

Does anyone have a link to a well done black theme (flat and/or glossy)? I'm using a rom with the HTC black theme built into it, but I'm running into theme issues with programs like SBSH Calendar Touch (because it bases it's theme color off the default windows mobile theme... and with the HTC Black theme it makes the calendar an ugly green color).
Any help would be appreciated
Is there anyway to change the default htc green highlights in the htc sense interface?
i was able to do so under the old tf3d 2.0, but none of those tweaks work on the new sense interface.
if at all possible, i would like to know if anyone has figured out how to change the dialer color (talk button and highlights), the default htc keyboard, the notification bubbles, and the various check boxes throughout the os.
i would love to have a red color or at least an idea of where to start looking.
i have searched all over XDA and pccgeeks and nothing has worked without messing up the phone and requiring a hard reset.
ok thanks!
You could check out tecchan23 work over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624874&highlight=taskbar I have used his work to make mine completely green, but he also produces a red version.
well i appreciate that but those seem to be for titanium not htc sense
there used to be a cab for tf3d...but i've not seen one for sense either...would also like this
Interested in this
for keyboard, look through this thread, there are various cabs for different colours dotted along.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=626688
for red notification bubbles, there is a standalone cab somewhere in there:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=642766
various htc calendar highlight colours in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636062
thanks for the reply, the calendar one worked great!
but the bubbles one only changed the email notifications, not the text ones.
also, the keyboard cabs only change the color when you press a key, not the abc or t9 mode or the enter key
guess skinning these files are alot harder on sense ui then on old tf3d...
i`ve ported a simple black bar from other theme sources (thx for let me steal the images ) for CM-5.0.7-T2-N1.
use it only with CM-5.0.7-T2-N1! will not work with "15 recent apps mod"!
i`ve also done a default white bar update.zip if you want to revert.
install: flash from recovery
black bar: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/887731/Black_Bar_5.0.7t2.zip
default white bar: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/887731/Default_Bar_5.0.7t2.zip
Thanks so much for this. I've been looking for it since 507T2 was unleashed.
It's been bugging me and I've not had time to work out how to do it myself.
Much appreciated.
Any chance you could do this over again and have green highlights/selections like desire with the same black bar?
I had the Kspec Monster theme on and I love the desire effects but it had the standard greyish notification bar.
I don't know how to fix it up myself and I tried once and got stuck in bootloop!
Thanks.
Batttery meter needs aligning if using with kspecs battery icons..
some notifications from apps (for example quick settings) in the "ongoing" pull down section have black font. black font on black background is not quite readable.^^
all other notifications in the pull down section are white, only the third party apps notifications have black font.
does anybody know where to change this font color?
hmmm, the black font in some notifications is a problem with black item backround.
so i changed status_bar_item_background_normal.9.png to default white and focus and pressed to desire green. updated version with screenhot in first post.
