question about Sms Chat by Vito - General Questions and Answers

why is it the contacts list does not integrate with the winmo contact list? do i really have to add the contacts in sms chat one by one?
is there any solutions?

Mine integrates can you give some more info? Which version of phone, SMS Chat, OS etc.

i am actually using omnia 1 with spb mobil shell installed. sms chat is v1.25
one thing to note is that all my contacts are at my sim card and not in my phone memory!

ive got it worked! but i got another problem.
i linked spb mobile shell shortcut sms to sms chat and it works fine.
but if i were to open the default mail/sms client
then the link to sms chat doesn't work anymore! help!

I installed SMS-Chat two days ago, and I kind of like it. There is however something that bugs me, and I think you have the solution. How exactly did you link SPB Mobile Shell sms shortcut to SMS-Chat? I just want SMS-Chat to be my default sms client.

Change to WM6 SMS Messaging Application

I would like to find a way to disable/uninstall the Palm SMS/MMS messaging app and use the Windows Mobile messaging app instead.
I used a HTC Trinity running AX3L WM6 (before I dropped it and broke the screen ) and I would really like all the messaging (E-mail, Pushmail, MMS and SMS) on the Treo I use now to be all in the same place instead of 1 app for SMS/MMS and another app for E-mail.
Been looking all over Google, these forums and TreoCentral.com and found several posts asking this question, but the only replies were something like "Why would you even want that, the Palm app is so cool" ... well...
I do want it! So I hope someone can help me find a solution
Kind Regards,

problem with pointUI and shogun threaded sms app

Hi, I use the shogun threaded sms app (found it here on the forum) and now I'm using pointUI too.
Lately some of my sms are being sent more than once, and I don't know why. I believe that is something to do with the sms app running with pointui, but I don't really want to uninstall any of them, since i cant find any decent threaded sms app and i don't want to see that windows mobile interface again
any ideas? please tell me, im all ears.
thanks in advance

Possible idea to make flexmail work w/Mobile Shell??

Hey all,
I'm sort of interested in looking at Flexmail over the stock email program. I'm hoping that it will notify me when I get new mail in sub folders, unlike the stock program.
However, I also use Mobile Shell and I understand that the two don't real well. Does this mean that new email notifications from flexmail won't show up in Mobile Shell or is it just a matter of Flexmail not launching when I hit the new mail notification box?
If its the later, couldn't a modified version of spbWatcher be used? Instead of starting the NOW screen every time the Today screen shows up, it would launch Flexmail when ever the default email program tried to launch. Would this work?

v3.3 of what? JGUI SMS reports eraser is on v5.00 and does this v3.3 of whatever you're using actually automatically delete delivery reports?
Link please.
not matter which version it work the same... they send u the report and it will be auto del it and only works with outlook sms.. not on HTC messages.
i even try 1.3 version it works too
HTC messaging takes over the control of inbound/outbound SMS so any programs including JGUI that uses Windows Mobile SDK to intercept SMS will not work.
Hi,
Newbie question: if I have no-manila rom and SPB Mobile Shell and still can't use JGUI SMS eraser is a matter of SPB or still I have HTC messaging on my ROM??

[Q] WM default SMS app, contact choose method

Hi,
I need a little help please.
I'm using a default WM sms app. When I want sent a sms message for example to John Silver, I must tap on "To:" button on address line, and choose him form contacts.
In the past, I had another ROM, I used also default WM sms app. When I want send a sms to John Silver, I could start typing his name, or any part of it, and WM sms app offer me contacts, which was relevant.
Please, does anyone know, how can I turn on this function in WM sms app? Or why it simply doesn't work.
Thank you.
