My Touch pro sound keeps on getting muted - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello, my Touch pro sound keeps on getting muted by itself, i turn the volume up, it goes up but still there's no sound, every single fucntion loses it's sound, meaning the whole system gets muted, it comes back when i restart the phone!! can anyone help??

The idiots who designed TouchPro (it really is brain dead) put the mute button on the touch screen exactly where my cheek bone can hit it when I put my Fuze up to my ear. Consequently, I frequently mute the call accidentally and only realize what has happened when the person I am calling says, "Hello? Hello?" Very annoying.

Can't always answer phone calls!!!

I held off from posting this, because I can't seem to find a reason why it's happening.
Basically, I'll get a phone call. I'm close to the phone, and have no problem answering it immediately. But maybe 3 out of 7-8 calls, I can't answer it. It'll just keep ringing until the calling party gets my voicemail. I hit the green phone button, the left menu button (for answer), even the word "answer" on the bottom of the touch screen itself. No matter what I do, the call will not pick up. Keep in mind, there is no Bluetooth involved. If I do happen to have a bluetooth earpiece on, I can hear the call ringing in the earpiece, but pressing the action button doesn't pick up the call like it should.
I'm at my wits end here. What could possibly be causing this?

Is your memory getting junky? I presume that the call application takes a lot of memory that it got full and had nothing left to take your response back Im not sure though. Do you ever get complaints like no signs of an Incomming call when people call you? I get it sometimes and still exploring to find a solution.

Carty..
The only 3rd party app I have installed is Opera Mobile. I only run it when I need it, and always use the "exit" option. I keep my phone as fresh as possible by killing unnecessary apps. The only things that stay open are my threaded message chat and Outlook.
As for your missed call (straight to voicemail), this happens to everyone not on 3g. For some reason, voice calls will not go through when there is net access. I don't know why this phone can't prioritize. My BB Pearl had no problem with that. If I was loading a webpage, it would simply pause the download and the phone would ring. Not sure, but maybe it has something to do with EDGE. I don't think the Treo 750 has EDGE capability...
The 750 definetly has EDGE, but it's usually CDMA phones with 1x that have the issue of not being able to take a phone call while transfferring data. It does sound like you could have another lemon 750 on your hands.

My experience wasn't as bad as yours. It just took a very long time between seeing the ringing icon and the time the phone actually rings, and then a long time between pressing the answer button and the time the call started.
I upgraded to WM6 and from the few calls I received since it appears the problem is now resolved and the 750 behaves like a normal phone.
Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem if you come up with a fix please let me know. the only thing I found that helps is to make your phone ring longer to give you a better shot at answering. here is a link to this fix

Screen goes crazy during call?

Got a new tp2 from sprint. whenever i make a call it flips to home screen then off then back over and over. Also when I call voicemail, the keypad never comes up until i press keypad and while i am listening it goes back to home screen then turns off. whats going on? dam its annoying!
I'm having a similar issue. When ever I remove the phone from my ear while I'm still on a call it goes to the home screen. Very annoying. It will work as it's suppose to some of the time but I'd say 95% of the time I have this issue. Hopefully someone comes out with a fix for this.
Me too (I'm on TMobile). Also, at the end of the call when it asks if you want to add to contacts, it flips back to home if you don't respond fast enough. But the worst is when I'm dialing in for voice mail and need the touchpad; it flips to home and I have to hit the bottom left hard button to get back to the phone.
I assume it's something to do with the way it turns off the touch screen based on the proximity sensor when it's up by your ear, then turns it back on again as you move away from your ear, so no doubt there's a setting somewhere to adjust that.
same here... during a call the screen goes on and off several times. may be light sensor.... who knows
anything that prompts you to make choices by picking numbers becomes a pain unless you use speakerphone. really hoping for a fix
I have no clue if this will last but I changed the setting to lock the phone if it's unused from 30min to 1hr and that seemed to work for now. Changed it back to 30min to double check, it happened first try during the call but worked properly after.
the way its supposed to work is, when you put the phone to your ear the screen goes out when you pull it away it will come on to the call status screen(not the keypad, unless you push keypad then it should stay on keypad, but if you put it to your ear it will go off, when you pull it away it will come back on to the keypad.)this feature is so you do not push buttons with your face.
Same issue...
Orginally seemed to keep on the call status screnn, but now moves to the home screnn when pulled from head.
Any fix would be apprecaited...

HTC Touch Pro picks the call automatically

My HTC Touch Pro pick the call during the time when I move it out from my pocket during it rings. Sometimes in my pocket it picks the call automatically when someone called me and I am totally unaware of that call..
Is there any way to stop this... Please help
htc touch pro picks the call automatically
WHOO HOO!!!!! I am not the only one that this has happened to! I thought it was because it had the "touch screen" too sensitive
-rastlin
Then is there any way to avoid this.
Because this is ridiculous that call picked up automatically which you don't want to pick .
RIGHT!!! the only way i found to deal with this issue is to set the screen sensitity for a higher setting
-rastlin
How can I change the screen sensitivity to resolve this issue.
There's something in the options
I'm not sure if you can follow me because i have a german version, but there is an option.
At personal/phone (the phone icon) go to the very right.
There is an option to answer without pressing a button.
Does it help?
Actually, i don't have any problems with the sensitivity, because the phone goes to standby and the only way to reactivate it is pushing the on-button...
When in sleep-mode the phone reacts to calls as it should.

Vibration when in pocket

Okay another question , sometimes when I have the phone in my pocket, particularly when there's a loud noise around me (may be it's just a coincidence), the phone vibrates when receiving a call, even though it's not in vibrate mode, I've been telling myself that it's some sort of a cool feature, that somehow it senses the noise around me or may be because it's in my pocket so it goes into vibrate mode (the phone never does this when it's not in my pocket), however I can't find anything about it in the manual, anyone knows about this?
I'm under the impression it has the do with the activation of the proximity sensor when it's in your pocket. Cover the proximity sensor when its not in your pocket and give it a try, I'd love to know for sure as well.
just found it in the manual : "To help avoid missing incoming calls when HTC Sensation is in your pocket or bag, the pocket mode feature gradually increases the ring volume and vibrates when you receive a call. When not in your pocket or bag, HTC Sensation will ring at the normal volume you set."

[RESOLVED][KINDOF][ICS] Black screen during a call

I wanted to ride the ICS wave but after experimenting with multiple radios/ROMs/hboots/kernels configurations I always got the same issue - while in call my screen gets black and no button will wake it up unless the call is interrupted (by the other side). Haven't found a real solution but created a workaround that actually works pretty well for me and decided to share it with whoever is in the same boat.
APK and sources attached.
I created a simple service that kick in during an active call. If activated tricks the phone into thinking that there are headphones plugged in and the screen is being turned on. While in this more the audio is being redirected to the headphone jack so you don't hear anything through the earpiece but normally I need the screen on only when I want to hang up and either way don't hear anything. Basically works perfectly well for my needs.
After installation enable and configure the service via the simple form. Once done when you get the black screen push the Vol Down multiple times to get the the lowest value and the service will unlock your screen. To get back the audio through the earpiece (and lock your screen) press Vol Up as many times as necessary to get to the max volume.
so is it one or the other?
!!senseless sensation!!
