[REQ] Physical buttons to control music player (Sense only) - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi there. I'm trying to map the three central hardware keys of my Leo so that I can use to control the Sense music player. Actually, I already use a third-party software to remap my keys, namely AEBPlus (see my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=603186) but I can also use manual renamed shortcuts (long_send.lnk etc.).
Anyway, all I need is three little .exe files to perform only the three basic actions: play/pause, next track and previous track. This way, I'll be able to reassign physical keys to control the Sense music player.
Can somebody create such mini-applications?
Thanks.

That sounds awesome! I would be really pleased if someone can do it.

Media / music player

can anyone tell me how hard it would be to make a really good music player for pocket pc's. because I find it baffling that with all the music/media players out there that none of them are any good!!!( i believe they try and make them to complicated) I'm looking for one that as easy finger touch screen interface and one handed use! I want to me able to scroll and move between all my music, artists, albums etc, by finger and D-pad. Seen as Microsoft seem to want to ignore the media part of the phone(can't see why they can't just put portable media center into WM5) then I think we are going to have to do it?!?!?!
Any ideas? anyone agree?

If you need big buttons easily pressable with just a finger, get MortPlayer. It's in no way the best media player (taking everything into account - see my previous multimedia reviews), but it's free and has BIIIIIIIG on screen buttons.
i've tried mortplayer, but as user interface goes it's rubbish!!! how hard would it be to write a full interface that is like portable media center?

mp3 AND WMA(!) media player or proper screen "turn-off" app

Hey Guys
various people recommended to me the GSPlayer however, the version I have doesn't seem to support WMA, is there a version that does or is this correct?
If GSPlayer doesn't support WMA, can anyone recommend a player that;
a - plays MP3
b - plays WMA
c - turns the screen off where only a pre-programmed key/combo will turn it back on
Failing that, im happy to use WMP but i need a screen blanking app to support it. I've tried a couple but they seems to come back to life pressing almost any key - not much use when the phones in my pocket. I need a screen blanker where it will only come back on with the power button or I can program a key/key combo, any suggestions?
Thanks loads guys!
Pocket Windows Mediaplayer has that option. Go to the player (not the library) Menu>options>Buttons (or whatever the tab on the far right is called in English) and if you scroll all the way to the bottom there is the Screen on/off option. TCPMP also has this feature.
If this isn't what you are looking for you can also install psShutXP, this comes with the program Display Switch, which you can link to a certain button with a button-configuration tool.
Grtz.
well stone me! So it does, thanks very much WMP is fine for my purposes.

Keyboard Shortcuts at VDA GPS (Toshiba G710)

Hi,
I always wondered whether I can have some keyboard shortcuts on the VDA/G710 in order for instance to open the video player by pressing "V" or the multimedia player by pressing "M" and so forth?
Is there any application which allows customization of the device's keyboard?
Thanks guys.

How to use volume keys for scrolling?

Isn't it possible to change the function of volume keys ?
I means use the volume keys to scroll the list of files....
And while playing music it acts as default means changes the volume..
Means dual function...
use maxthon browser it has this option
Ya dolphin browser also has this feature, but isn't it possible to use keys to scroll list of files like mp3 files in file manager, or big text files...
This feature is(or was) avilable in older java based samsung touchscreen phones...

[FEATURE REQUEST]: Subtitle «gestures». Android TV alternatives

I love subtitle gestures (seek to previous/next subtitle) but this feature seems to be unavailable when running on Android TV (no touch screen there). I think it should be trivial to add this functionality, at least, when using a gamepad
Thanks

We already have many keyboard shortcuts for various actions. We will discuss with our product team about the possibility for this one. Till that, You could use mouse to achieve the same.
Thank you for your reply
A gamepad has three different left/rigth controls and they are now doing the same thing (10 seconds back/forward). Programming one of this controls for subtitle navigation should be a 5 minutes effort. Android TV apps should be gamepad/remote friendly. Keyboard & mouse are not normally present in this platform so I'm not convinced with the solution you have proposed (that is Ok as a workaround). I assume that a solution for remotes is not easy (not standard/free controls available) but that's not a problem, as I said previously, with gamepads
Thanks in advance

May be, I could explain a little more. When you use any directional control keys (whether it's a Remote or Game Controller or Keyboard), android generates the same key events (i.e KEYCODE_DPAD_UP, KEYCODE_DPAD_DOWN, KEYCODE_DPAD_RIGHT, KEYCODE_DPAD_LEFT, KEYCODE_DPAD_CENTER). Most of the android consoles has very simple remote with simple navigation keys. They depends on Navigation Keys for Seeking / Volume change. So, If we change right/left key it will break everything.
