Did you try to config the zipcode or your location on the widgets yet?
Weather widget works just for US. No other countries avalible.
edit: You can check supported locations at weather.gov
This is the place where weather widget gets information.
International version

Smooth calendar or grid cagebdar are neat. 3g watchdog (monitors your data usage) and apn Droid (disables and enables 3g data) are both useful if your data plan isn't unlimited. And genie widget is also quite good and has a nice app to go with it (news add weather) though you'll have to Google that one as it isn't on the market.
any suggestions for Messeage widget?Mail Widget? and Photo album widget?

Try Pure Messenger for the message/mail/texts
suggestion: what about turning this thread into a widget collection, OP updating #1 to get a referential on the subject instead of getting multiple/duplicate threads on the subject? this is not the oldest thread on the subject, but the one with the most generic subject and maybe it could be turned into the last of it's kind...

I like the Ted Zkeletal clock widget, it's a nice change. It is quite large though.
Hi, anyone.
I am the first user of Android. Can anyone help me how to enable Fancy Widget on my Xperia X10?
Thank you.

you download from the market, then add the widget by long pressing the screen? of course you need to have sufficient space for it.
What version did you use? I just download 1.8 and the weather icon doesn't show up....

You're the first user of Android? HOLY CRAP!
Hi I was watching a browser speed test video on androidcentral and they had a galaxy s phone and when they pulled down the notification bar at the top were a set of power buttons letting you turn on blue tooth, wifi or gps from any screen (really useful IMO)
So i ws wondering if this was part of touchwiz or an app or something we can port to the droid x. I find myself wantng to turn on wifi bt and gps alot in apps and ont want to go to the home screen to do it. i think this is so cool, anyone can elaborate?
thanks!
i believe it's part of touchwiz and it IS very handy. i don't use it all the time but it's a lot easier than finding the screen with the quick toggles.....if you're even using them.
Yea my friend has the one for T-mobile and i didnt' know it till i pulled down the notification bar, and I thought the same thing...sooo useful. I use my phone for navi a lot and it's annoying to go through screens to find the widget.
Quick Desk Beta
Check out the app Quick Desk Beta its essentially the same idea but instead of pulling your notification bar down you double press your home button and it pulls up a transparent screen that you can put any widgets on like wifi toggle or your music player. I used it all the time with my D1 when id be on a web page and forget to turn wifi on or want to listen to music while on the web but not want to go home and find the widgets then back to browser. I just got the DX and haven't tried it yet on it im still figuring out all these new moto blur things but i would think it should work with the DX. Hope that helps you out alittle

thanks i will check it out, but i do once in a while use the double tap of the home button for voice dial on my x, but that shouldnt b needed anymore once we get froyo and the new voice search app from google.
i still would like to have this in notification bar and wonder if it could be done as an app or as a theme mod or what. IF anyone has any ideas how this can be ported? maybe i can request a port in the DX android dev forum?
Yes a friend and my inlaws have the Galaxy and I would love to have something like this for the X.
Check out the app Quick Settings. Lets you put whatever settings in there you want. It's not as pretty, but really useful.

Smart bar works pretty good.

I would really love this too. I know the Galaxy S has it and certain ROMs have it but I'm not willing to root my DX quite yet.
i use quick settings as well, works really good.
Also you can download the app called Homesmack which can allow you to program the search hard button on the X to bring up the quick settings app. pretty convenient when i want to turn on wifi or bluetooth etc on the fly and saves space on home screens

I use Power Control Plus - can't post a link yet, apparently, but it's easily googled.
It's awesome.
this is the only feature i miss from when i had my Captivate.....i can only hope the guys at team defuse can get this to work on the X!
I use MySettings. It works very well.
Hello,
I installed MIUI v4 on my Desire S recently. I downloaded the port from miuiandroid.com. I am loving this ROM, but the weather widget doesn't seem to be working, and there appears to be no weather app installed. know about weather.miui.es, but what you get there is an older version of the widget which can't use your current location. I know this is a bit of a silly question which probably has a simple solution, but does anyone know what to do to get that widget working?
Thanks in advance.
There is no international version yet, sorry
That's a but of a pain... But there is still probably hope. Since I started this thread, I heard Xiaomi and miuiandroid.com are working on an international version of their weather widget, so let's hope it gets put together soon... By the way, do you know of any good looking, free weather widgets?
Nope, sorry mate
I'm not a weather kinda guy.
I use the window - it's high res!
I use the window too, but unfortunately, it doesnt show the weather for places I intend travelling too.

Have you guys tried MIUI Digital Weather Clock? - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=factory.widgets.MIUIDigitalClock
Or Fancy Widgets - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anddoes.fancywidgets
PS. No offence 'bout the windows comment, I hope. I was just kidding
I used AccuWeather widget to replace the MIUI one.

I tried the link you have posted, but it doesnt work at all on my LG G3. I googled and found OnePlus One thread about BlinkFeed and one guy posted this one :http://www.mediafire.com/download/x266h197ss21b9f/blinkfeed.zip
I got to work blinkfeed + weather + htc clock + twitter + facebook, you can download from here.
I installed first prism.apk, then htc service pack, clock, weather, and put twitter and facebook in the system/priv-app folder with correct permissions
I added the folder weather with the animations in system/media, and now I've also got the animations.

I tried it and BlinkFeed is working fine. So does the weather. Facebook/Twitter and animations doesnt, cos I dont want to root my week old phone  . Try it out.
EDIT* I had to change the prism to 5x4, dont use the one located in RAR (mediafire) it has the DPI problem. This is the right one: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4Lj-ul49PJtVTRRLXo0aHhaZlk/edit
I'm trying to set Blink Feed up on my G3 but seems that I can't get away from the DPI issue. I've tried the DPI fixed version.
Mt g3 is set at 530 . Any of u have better luck or any suggestions?!

Well thanks I'll definitely check it out when you post it. What DPI do you have you phone at? My G3 is at 530 and I suspect maybe that's what is causing my issue?!
Everything actually works, just seems the App grid on the home screen is off... Everything is offset to the left.

This is the version I been using, make sure to use the 4×5 grid version
I had this working great on my rooted Verizon G3 until about 3 days ago when I updated the HTC Zoe Beta app in the Play store. After that, Blinkfeed will no longer let me add topics.
I've tried uninstalling Zoe, reinstalling the framework and Prism, etc but no luck. No matter what I do, Blinkfeed stays empty. However if I go in and click a source directly (Engadget for example) it will show me stories for them.
Any ideas? I was so happy to have this working before.

I got it fully working fb, weather and twitter it all works great. If your weather shows up weird change it's dpi with appsettings(xposed) of it fails to load new Info it could be due to 4 square or other apps you have that are supported in blinkfeed (just uninstall them)
Any advice for my issue, where I can't add topics to Blinkfeed? No matter how many I check it stays blank.
