I'm using the stock ROM on T-Mobile UK. For some reason Opera has now started double-pixeling like PIE does with images when zoomed in on the page (ie when u double-tap the screen). It's making all my images look blocky and web pages all naff looking. Even the form items (radio buttons and checkboxes etc) are all QVGA-ed.
Please help!

OK, I've even just upgraded to the latest version using this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=401643
And it's still pixel doubling. any ideas?
LLOYDY
Screenshot?
What's the best (and lightest) screencap app to use do u think?

Thanks.
Here are some pics of what I mean:
1. Usual PIE double-pixelling (tho my old universal had a VGA compatible PIE so why doesn't the TP?!)
2. Google page all squarified
3. Zoomed in on a form element (radio button all pixelated)
4. BBC News after a zoomed in double-tap - images are all pixelated and not clear as they used to be!)
Hope this helps. This is drivin' me nutz. Is there a registry setting somewhere to tell Opera to display VGA images?
Thanks for all help in advance.
LLOYDY
Okay. Maybe it's something in it's settings. Do the following:
1. Find the Opera thread in the Dev & Hacking section and download latest cab.
2. Uninstall Opera. If that isn't possible, download the upgrade version from the thread.
Now do one of the following:
1)If you uninstalled, soft reset and install Opera
2)Soft reset and respond back with ss and results
OR
1)Upgrade if you can't uninstall
2)Soft reset and respond back with ss and results
Cheers for the ideas but I've already tried them. I just upgraded to build 2392 (from the link in my second post) which is running fine. However, it did not fix this issue.
Any other ideas?

Ah. I'm sorry for not reading. What apps do you have installed that could potentially affect the orientation or settings of any app installed on your phone?
Thee only setting I've really changed recently is the "GPRS auto attach" setting in Adv Config to enabled. Other than that I can't think of anything else. In the past I have installed the G-sensor app but uninstalled it as I had no use for it. But it's been working fine since then.
Perhaps Windows Live Search was the last app I installed whr I cannot be sure if it affected opera or not. U think maybe try uninstalling it?
LLOYDY
OK. Uninstalled it, reset, and nothing. Opera is still QVGA. WTF is going on?!
I could revert back to a backup but Id like to solve this problem incase it happens again. Anyone kno of any settings to tweak and where they are (there must be more than the useless standard ones)?
LLOYDY
OK - just hard reset and it seems Opera was like this from the very start. It just pixel doubles anyway when zoomed in. Bit rubbish really...
LLOYDY
I was actually thinking that lol. But you said you never had that problem before so I didn't think too much about it. I just think you zoomed in too much.
I´m sure soon we will see it for WM

Man I want this for WM as well; looks very nice! We're closing in on desktop browsing on mobile devices.
This looks great! But from the features demonstrated, it seems to act very similar in many ways to Opera Mini 5 beta, so you can pretty much try it out now from the look of things.
no way close to desktop browsing until we get full FLASH content...

Seen live today at friends Nokia 5800 (or whichever number was it) and I first thought it is Opera Mini lol.
Yea, it runs nice on that device. Hope we get WM version very, very soon.

Ah, bit of a bugger the latest version doesn't work. Come on Opera, pull finger!
Slight problem is I don't have an install file for 9.5 (as it came built in on my Xperia X1). Can someone be terribly kind and post a link?

does it have the option to click on a phone number in a webpage and dial that number? Like Chrome Mobile does?

anyone know? Does Opera Mini do this?
is there anything in the registry or opera:config that would enable this feature? I've been searching through both but I haven't found anything... *someone* has to know *something* about this??
Just in case anyone who has sky hasn't realised that the application now supports Windows Mobile, The HD2 isn't listed but I just downloaded the Touch HD on, think the app is the same for all to be honest.
Works ok, good for setting sky box to record quickly if your away etc.
Also has a sky sports app and sky news app integrated.
Does need to improvements to make it better with touch screen use but overall its good.
Link please buddy,
thanks!
Just noticed there is a thread in the HD section already, but I know not all HD2 users will look in there that often anymore, i know i don't.
But you can get it from here http://p.wecomm.com/prov/prov.action?releaseId=10
big big thanks mate
No Worries
Works on mine. Here's the cab file.
Sweet this works great.
Just a shame they use a crappy keyboard but it looks like you only have to use it the once to enter user id / password
edit: it does not always shut down properly but i can live with that

Same here - might be due to running 6.5.3? Those who have got it working which Rom are you running?
am glad to finally have this on winmo but i must say it is appalling to use compared to the version my mrs has on her iPod touch, that one has kinetic scrolling so you can flick through hours at a time etc and we are stuck with a please wait box every time we move on half an hour, why have they made such a poor version for winmo when they already have a winner for apple :/ doesnt make sense! the SIP it uses is awful and nothing is finger friendly at all! booo sky!
found the app a while back... it works well if you forget to record something. interface is pants though.
works fine on my 6.5.3 rom
The interface needs a major fix up!
very strange, It works now.
It seems that if my HD2 is connected to the PC then it doesnt work butif i unplugged the cable then it does.
Anywa, works now. agree thatthe interface needs a major overhaul
Just got a blank screen after I attempted to connect and closed application. Now my radio seems to be screwed up takes an age to get a signal and then after I make a call it loses it again !!!!!
How did you manage to install this app? When I try to run the "SkyMobile-WM6_PPCP-1.2.0.0.CAB" It opens theme selection screen. I have HD2 with 1.43 O2 rom.
what does it use for?

You can get this with BsB tweaks 1.6 (is here on the forum), you can add rotation to any app with BsB tweaks .
great thanks, ive got the rotate.exe and will follow the instructions. where can i get the 7 digit postcode fix from ?
I have the full poscodes (for UK at least) but i dont know if your allowed to freely post them so i wont. If you search the interwebs i pretty sure that you can find them from somewhere. Search google for something like tomtom 7 postcode and see what you find.
If you do find them and have any issues then let us know.
edit: found them on TOMTOM http://uk.support.tomtom.com/cgi-bin/tomtom_uk.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9852&Lid=1
great thanks , all sorted
How do you prevent the HTC HD2 to stay on ie full power when only TOMTOM/CO PILOT is on?

From Tomtom?
@xenept, sometimes right answer isn't always the best answer!
@vibhav_uk, visit http://www.tomtom.com and look for a grey box across the top of the screen that says Products, put your little arrow thing on that box and it turns into a hand pointing a finger, press the left button on your mouse and you will goto another page.
about halfway down the page you will see some pretty pictures, the one on the right says above it PDA/MOBILE Navigation, move your little arrow thingy over the nice picture and it will turn into a hand again . . .

lol yes - was a bit too flippant! My bad.
Anybody got it working? I have the T-mobile USA HD2, and I tried installing the program in main memory and memory card(different times of course). When I start up the program, it gets to the main screen of the program and then crashes right out. Saying something about sending info to MS for the crash.
me too
I second this. happens on my HD2 on all roms so far.
Im using QuickMark and it does work
im using i-nigma and it works perfectly

Well mine worked but crashed once(soft reset). And that's when I found out it asked me to pay to tell me what the barcode said.

It's a small program, and free, can you email it to me? [email protected] (exactly like that with the spam in it).
Maybe its my download from the website.
I tried it and it didn't not work for me until I updated it to the newest version. I use the program to download programs from Freewarepocketpc from time to time and they have a link to the newest version
I finally got mobiletag to work. Does it autofocus and lock in focus? ALl mine seems to do is go from focused to unfocused. BUT someone it'll read the barcode.
I'm using the elegancia rom and i-nigma works perfectly fine for me.
mobiletag is OK. just that it takes like 5-10 tries before I can get it to read a barcode.
I need to get one of the others (barcode scanners)to work.

Version 3.03.01 works fine on my HD2. In the About page it states that it is for the HD2
Thanks. Yup. The version that works is that one. Just dont have it do the update. As that fails once installed.
The camera works the same way mobiletag. Its out of focus, then goes in/out of focus and then somehow reads the barcode. I would figure it would autofocus to get the clearest photo, but I guess it reads the photo "live" and reads the barcode in teh split second it's in focus.
So far I think Mobiletag is the most interesting as it pulls multiple online locations to show prices. Doesn't seem to take any local stores (I'm in hawaii), so I dunno if the gps location works.
Drawback is it takes forever to get a tag read.
The i-nigma looks "cleaner" for the photo screen, still takes a few tries to get a barcode read(not as much as the Mobiletag) but then it asks you what you want to do. look it up on Amazon or something else, then it loads your browser to that page. So it seems more basic.
thing is, as it says on the website, you can go to i-nigma.mobi with your device to get the correct version automatically. worked fine for me every time.
It work well with me
T-mobile hd2
I confirm a silly bug: if you go to i-nigma.mobi you get a cab that installs a flawed version, which closes right after starting it... if instead you download it from thre "mirror download" at freewarepocketpc.net then you get a version that works on the HD2.
Very, very silly if you ask me

Good tip, I now have i-nigma running.
Problem now is it won't read a barcode on my HD2. If I manually enter a barcode it searched Google.com or Amazon.com, so how do you get it to search other countries, such as co.uk ?
Mine is working too ..... I downloaded at pocketfreeware ...... btw is there anywhere to decode the BlackBerry QR code ?????
