23047 and snooze selection - Wing, P4350 ROM development

Ok I am a noob to cooking and haven't had much luck. Have tied various ROMs out here and all of you are great. I actually prefer build 23047 seems pretty reasonable on ram useage. But I can not seem to get the snooze choice when the alarm goes off to show up. All I get is the snooze or dismiss button. Does any one know of a fix for this?

Do you have the device locked when its start to ring?
I disabled smartlock and everything, because the snooze choice shown only when it is not locked.

nope not locked.

Have you cooked in the HTC Notification Manager?? You will need to use the default WinMo notification style, for your snooze options to appear.
Here is the CAB: http://thewingster.com/advancednotifications.aspx (I believe it should work on the Wing.
So you can extract the file from the CAB, and replace the DLL from the CAB into Ivan's SuperJustKitchen. Then Windows Mobile will display the less-fancy notification bubble popups, but it will have the snooze options.
I believe this is what you need.

I don't see HTC Notification Manager in the kitchen at all. I will try your solution and report back.

Hmm, well maybe it's something with the new WM6.5.1 system. Idk. Try it at your own risk, if it doesn't work or messes something up, just reflash.

Ok just did a quick intall of the cab directly on the phone, restarted and tested. Didn't work. When a have a few minutes I will try conveting the cab to an ext in ivans kitchen.

they all have trials...
I use alarmToday
SPB Time does not work, the alarm doesn't wake up, and when you turn the phone on after it is due, it then starts alarming.
I use ptravelalarm, love it. I like the big "Stop" and "Snooze" buttons that appear on the screen when the alarm goes off and it has all the other features. I notice on WM6 that the alarm wont sound unless you disable security alerts, but I think everyone here does that anyway.

Exactly - at least you are sure it won't crash/fail to get sound to play etc.. and you won't miss the plane
You can make alarm.lnk with contents:
00#"\Windows\settings.exe" alarm.cpl.xml
and bind a keystroke to it to set alarm quickly.
This is the first time I ever say something +ve about M$ Product
Anyone have link to this alarm you guys love so much. I've tried Sbd time but thats failed me a couple of time so my search continues.
I have WM6, where would I be able to disable security alerts?

The alarm peeps r talking bout is the default Windows Mobile alarm.
Nevertheless, I would go for pocketalarm. Plays MP3's. Dunno if it will run on WM6.

If you mean the soundsettings for alert:
Go to start > settings> sounds and alerts
If you mean something else... could you be more specific?
Try en AlarmPPC. Nice reliable alarm clock. Works under WM6

LlamaV3 mentions disabling security alerts. So I couldn't tell anything more on that other than it was mentioned in this post.
Right now I'm giving a shot to the alarm LlamaV3 mentioned but I'll def look into the rest mentioned by you guys. I do depend on my phone as an alarm so I need to find that perfect reliable alarm.
Thanks for your help guys.
I use CHRONOS from ActiveKitten. I'm loving it.
You can set snooze time to 5, 10, 15 and more
BIG snooze button on your screen will allow you to tap on it and sleep again
Best feature, the alarm sound can increase from low then going to louder and louder. Of course, you would be able to set the increase time. It also does vibrate or not.
It also includes Stop Watch...
Works on WM6.. never let me down except that one time, my SD card was accidentally ejected. My fault though...
And what I found out this morning: With pocketalarm you can use the powerbutton as the snooze button... So I don't even have to open my eyes to snooze
I like the Alarm included with WM6. Lets you set three separate alarms, all with different sound, vibrate and flash options.

WM6 Alarm has no snooze

WM3 alarm clock had a snooze
WM6 alarm clock has no snooze
(who makes these 'improvement' decisions?)
Is their an alarm clock add on with snooze

Very true. Funny thing is that mine (Dutch Toucht) doesn't show 10 but shows 15 minutes twice. It works though.

It's a rom problem, if he's using an official rom, HTC screwed up, if it is a cooked one, the cook's to blaim, either that or he didn't opened the menu.
Anyways, it isn't a WM6 problem.
Doh... sussed it thanks (its called menu now)
pretty off-topic but don't you think it would be cool if the alram clock could alert you with a random song from your library than an alarm sound.
just a random thought
I have another dumb-arse but related question.
I thought you would change the alarm sound by going to 'sounds and notifications' but alarm doesnt seem to be one of the listed events for which you can change the sound. Where do you go to change to alarm sound to something else?
Settings -> System -> Clock & Alarms -> Alarms
look for play sound
then again... i wouldnt use the default alarm in wm6. Its really bad.. however there are other alternatives out there.
I heard pTravelAlarm is nice.. however its like 2mb just for an alarm program?

Official rom. Hardly a reason to flash a phone.

Annoying sounds at night when using alarms

My ATT Tilt is set to retrieve my e-mail every 15 minutes. When I use my "Alarms" to wake me in the morning I get awakened if I get a message or e-mail during the night. Is there a sound profile or something that would allow sound for just the alarm and silence the message notices? WM 6.1
I have read where phones with WM6.1 have this feature. Go to Settings->system->clocks & alarms. Go to the "more" tab. There should be a selection available to sound alarms even when device is set to silent or vibrate. Then you can set your phone silent and still get your alarm. Hopefully it is there. It is on this cooked one I'm using.
There is only one option under the more tab. it is "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs."
then just disable the notifications sounds for texts and email. my email notification is silent. and noone is stupid enough to send me a text in the middle of the night (except my sister on occasion when she gets drunk)

Not all ROM's have this feature..it depends upon the builds
take a look at phonealarm application if you want to have full control on your notifications/sounds/profiles etc.
Thanks. I looked at the ap. It's $25! I might try the trial version, but I don't think I want to spaend that much for such a minor annoyance.

Alarm notifications not working on FUZE

I searched the Raphael forums for this and did not find an answer so here is the problem.
My HTC FUZE is running the stock rom with TF3D and my alarm did not go off this morning. I had a calender event scheduled with a 15 min reminder for 8 am and an alarm set for 9 am. The calender event went off as planned but with such a quiet noise it didn't wake me up, and I did not dismiss it obviously. So then the alarm notification also did not go off because there was already one notification that was not dismissed yet. When I check the title bar and click the alarm icon that is there, is brings up both of the two notifications at the bottom of the screen and I can dismiss them. If there is no calender event to dismiss it works fine. I still have to click on the title bar to get it to pop up at the bottom at all though. So I am hesitant to make any calender events with alarms at all for fear that my alarm clock won't work!!!!
Please provide any insight into this that you can!!! Thanks in advance...
Without any calander events and an alarm set for 6:15AM, it has failed to go off every day since I've had the phone. I just installed pTravelAlarm, the same one I used on my Tilt, and it's been working fine.
Not a Fuze issue - rather, a Window's Mobile problem - well documented -
I installed g-alarm and it warned that my device (Fuze) may suffer from a notification bug and that it had to reboot to fix it (guessing registry fix). So apparently someone's aware of the alarm bug/issue.
Haven't had any issues since though (with gAlarm)
I too have the alarm bug on my Fuze running latest ROMeOS. Going to give gAlarm a try like others have suggested.

Guess that is what I will try also. It definitely sounds like a WM bug...
I also have an alarm problem, although lights go off, the alarm doesn't ring. I also have problems with ringing on incoming calls. The speaker otherwise works fine. I have Natfv4.0 installed. Do any of the roms fix this problem?
my
TP's alarm works but the notification dosent pop up to give me the option to dismiss it? how do i fix that?
Is there a registry fix for this?
I don't get pop-up windows any more - I think since i turned off threaded SMS.
Wasn't that an initial problem with the Fuze? I remember having that issue. Just flash to a newer build OS and you'll be fine.
Work phone, not an option.
Surely there's a registry doodad I can change?
It's a Windows Mobile problem as noted, something about duplicated notifications. One suggestion was to download sktools, and use that to clear up your notification que. It is a registry thing I believe, but it's rather a pain in the butt to find where the notifications are and what to delete. SKtools Lite I think can do it, I know it can scan the notification queue and clear it up, but I've never had the problem so far. Would think that Microsoft would have at least made sure the alarm function of a business phone works.

Alarm with snooze

Hi guys! I need an alarm that can repeat the sound at intervals (5/10/15 minutes) and support snooze also at different intervals (5/10/15 minutes). Any idea would be much appreciated Thanks!
G-Alarm will do it for you.
Thanks, works like a charm.

If you prefer the basic WM alarms with the snooze options, you can install the attached cab which will disable the crippled HTC one, and bring back the original WM alarm snoozing options.
Be warned that some top taskbar replacement breaks the snooze option even if you have applied the cab attached here.
hi
how do you install al those things on the hd2?
many thanks grz
you could try klaxon... worked on diamond, not tried it on HD2.
its better than g-alarm (imo) as you can just flip the phone which will set the snooze, or shake the phone to turn off the alarm.
G-alarm has the same function you say klaxon has.
You can tell it to snooze or go off when you flip the phone or shake it.
Yeap, I can confirm, G-Alarm has all that.
Simpler solution (you have the original WM6.1 reminders):
With any registry editor, you have to go to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Shell\Notification\OEM and then rename the following string "CustomUIDLL" in "CustomUIDLLX" ; then you can go back if you need. Soft reset and voilĂ  !

Hi, new member so please excuse me if I'm asking something that seems daft to you more experienced guys, but where you say that the HTC alarm is crippled, what is that about?
The reason I ask, is because I have noticed that my alarm did not seem to be working for the last few days (had my HD2 for around 3 weeks now), and I set it to go off 5 mins ahead to test it, and it beeped once rather than playing the alarm tone that I had set.
Is that what you were referring to when you say that the HTC one is crippled?
Thanks in advance.
Something to keep in mind... I have had a problem since moving to the HD2 where G-Alarm would fail to go off. I woke up late a couple of times to find a windows error message about G-Alarm. Obviously it had tried to go off and failed.
Of course I cant rule out it being affected by something else I have installed or done, but for now I have switched to the HTC alarm and not had any problems.
G-Alarm has a 10day trial though so you can give it a go and just use another backup alarm while you are testing.

do you not have to 'complete a puzzle' before the alarm goes off on g-alarm? or can you opt out of this?
