Okay i was using for a long time a custom rom with no problem after doing all the necessary stuff.Then one day when backlight would turn off then my cellular line would drop when making/placing a call.
So i decided to start over but i did everything WRONG.Now no matter how many hard spl i do i get 052 at the tricolor screen and it goes there and crashes ( loading rom .... for ever ) only by using manual spl.
It wont go to bootloader no more by pressing the volume down - power button.Right now i still have the problem with the backlight-call drop and i also cannot update ROM OR do hard spl.I am using the Christmas Energy Rom now.
If when placing a call i keep touching the screen to keep backlight ON then my calls dont drop so makes me thing that is software related from the beggining , thats why i started doing all the < mess > and made things even WORST.
Please anyone can give me a solution to my problem ? I want to load the UK ROM ( the manufacturer ) that my phone came with ( greece,europe uses the uk rom ) and make everything at manufacturer specifications to see if my phone calls dont drop no more.
But i cannot do hard spl ( even when i do it and i get success the bootloader shows 052 not 072 and to get there i need to manual spl and then it crashes it wont update rom , it says loading ..... for ever ) and i cannot update rom either.
Is there a solution to this mess ? How do i WIPE OFF everything and start over ? Please help i m still paying for this phone it costed me 659 euros . I sent SONY a message explaining the mess and awaiting response and propably a cost estimate IF they can fix something like that.

What i believe i did was kept custom radio,custom rom and restored sspl 052 and now i cant flash anything.
Is this reversible and how ?

well i do hard spl and while and if i can get it to bootloader screen it doesnt cchange version . it remains at spl o52 olinex , i also flash different roms and i still have the backlight problem.
when i make a phone call and the backlight turns off , the phone drops my calls !! If i keep backlight on by touching the screen the calls dont drop..Anybody had the same issue ever ?

I was feelin good today n had read al the guides n everythig about BigStorage n i finally did it i upgraded my rom n it worked like a charm
then i started feeling cocky so since there wa also a radio upgrade also available i downloaded it n ran the installer it started gave me that screen tellin me from what im upgrading and what im upgrading to I cliked next n my Jam restarted to bootlader mode then it came to the Upgrade radio stack please wait screen n thats where it stopped it didnt move from there i waited n finally the installation program gave me an error saying i should restart the cell n try again so that what i did i restarted it but what do i see ?? its not starting it goes directly to bootloader mode?? whats goin on?

oh thank god i resetted my computer n am now reinstalling the rom (magician 1.13 rom) i tired it a lil while ago n it wasnt working it would also freez n not do anything but now its actually moving so far 41% done pray that it works n starts up properly

I am also unable to upgrade my Radio to 1.13. I get the country ID error, although I follow the instructions found in other posts...
I was atempting to upgrade ROM in to the "L26 WM6 PRO Business V7 Videocall 2" ver and everything went well, but there were problem with phone calls, quality of sound during conversation exaclly, so that i was trying to update radio to 1.17 ver, and something goes wrong right now my exec don't want to turn on and he hang on the 1 splashscreen with radio ver and ver of soft,
i tryied to fixe it by downgrade rdio to 0.00 and update rom again in to the 1.15 ver included in L26 rom, but nothing has happend still the same problem
who could possibly know what had happedn with my exec, one guy on polish side said that ther is some kind of " mamaich method" to fix or check damages which I had made

Are you still able to get into bootloader?
If so, flash back your full original ROM (M$ + Radio + Ext).

whatever ROM i try to install, after successfull flash and the following reboot when you get the "customization will start in 3 sec", it always hang on the "Installing WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE.CAB" (last time i wait 5h to see if it move)
i tried RomeOS1.01 as well as 1.02 (just a few minutes ago), same also happen with DCS-TouchProv13 or even when i try to revert to RUU_raphaelWWE1.66...
i have a successfull HardSPL1.90.1.3 Olinex properly showing up on the 3 color screen.
Soft reset allow me to use the phone with a somehow successfull install ? (i get some of the appz but not sure it is 100% successfull / how can i check??)
Only concern is that the phone get warm around the camera/speaker after a few hours of usage and battery doesnt sound very powerfull (full load stay on about 5 to 6h with no bluetooth but wifi on)

How about flash ur stock ROM back, then revert the stock SPL. There may be semething wrong with ur device

Guess what .... after flashing back to a german ROM (thks for the link to an htc oiginal ) the "customization" with Opera9_DE went well and finish up normally.
i am going to work/play a bit with the German version to make sure it does not come from the device
any other idea in how/why my German o2 xda does not love all the great simple ROM cooked here ??

I am seeing this exact same issue.
I have had no end of grief flashing my Raph, I maintain an XP VM (I am on OS X) entirely for flashing. I have flashed many different devices with dozens of ROMs and never had a problem until I got the Raphael. I have seen BSOD's and numerous connection issues while flashing using both Raphael_CustomRUU_v1.2 and RaphaelWrapper.
Also, every ROM I have flashed (on a XP SP3 box I put together from old pieces just to flash this bastard) has hung whilst installing opera.
I am using the o2 uk variant (as yet unreleased XDA Serra).
It is a RAPH120, is this unique to o2 devices?
Would appriciate any help getting this sorted, it could become a more widespread problem with the o2 uk variant is released, as there may be an influx people wondering why their device wont flash properly.
nb. I have an unreleased o2 built ROM (RUU_Raphael_O2_UK_1.60.206.1_radio_sign_52.29.25.12_1.01.25.16_Test.exe) that flashes and installs fine even from inside my VM.

[UPDATE] I tried installing Opera build 1957 from a cab and it worked fine.
maybe a dumb suggestion... but try to get your device unlocked and see what happen

So no leads there, as an interim solution I will repack ROMeOS² v1.03 without Opera and see how that works out.
i have the same device and the same problem. I will try to repack it with the german version of opera..
Oh dear, so it would appear that current roms do not work on O2 variant devices...
Has anyone successfully flashed an O2 device (with a cooked rom)?
I have hit some problems repacking ROMeOS² as hung has included measures to stop people making their own roms based on his. I pm'd him last night asking if he could help us out, but as of yet I have not recieved a reply.
I will probably start making my own rom from scratch tonight, but its a fair bit of work just to take opera out of the customization sequence. Hopefully its just some odd bug in the opera install, rather than something more serious. I guess worst case scenario is that after opera is removed it just crashes at another point during the costomization process.

Excellent, so at least we have a workaround in the pipeline. Still, it would be best to find the cause of the problem, as not all cooks have the time and dedication to make special versions of their roms for a small sub-set of users.
Actually Opera is included but with no device specific & v1.04 is done

Hi Stephane and others having similar trouble,
I had the same situation but my original ROM was Japanese, after trying a lot of possible official WWE versions for flashing and cooked ROMs, only one version worked.. Check the official WWE version Singtel.. it worked up to customization without problem.. the only difference the default internet page is Singtel but it is not a problem cause I can still go to the other sites..
i need to soft reset my phone atleast 3 times a day, depending on how many calls i get. it rings, i answer, i cant hear anything and the other party cant hear me, only way i resolve this is with a soft reset. it did this on the original rom i got with the phone, then i u pgraded to latest original rom, still the same..
now im on udK Syrius R4 - Blackstone Build 20757.1.4.0 - WWE ( must admit i love this rom ) but still the same problem, i have updated to latest radio version too, now im stuck pulling my last 2 strands of hair out with this, any help be much apresicated. thx

I used to experience trouble like this with some custom roms and finally flashed this rom and this radio, and now eveything is back to normal
yer, the problem comes from having a mismatched radio rom and operating system.
I used to have the same problem till I reflashed to the correct radio rom.

I saw many people facing this issue .

have you tried relocking bootloader and flashing ruu? if that doesnt fix it im guessing it might be hardware.

A ruu is a complete software package, allows you to reinstall to factory state. I dont think thats what you need unless you use the asian 1.88 ruu, i think the ATT 1.85 still has the problem. The one x has radio issues (your problem) with early software. Are you rooted and unlocked? If so install a new radio from the development section, 1.88 or higher. If you are not rooted or unlocked and dont plan to, then call support for a replacement. Maybe you'll get one that works better. For me after installing 1.88 and higher radios i had no more call or network issues. Worked perfectly

Try going into recovery, and wiping cache and Dalvik (Dalvik is under "Advanced" in CWM).
Works for me the couple times I've had data connection issues. Might not fix yours, but certainly won't hurt anything.
