How to change Folder icons or Program Icons?

Hi
I know that the folder icons are store in the FolderIcon.dll and pointing to it via the icon.ink file will cause the folder icon to change.
Question is how to view this FolderIcon.dll file such that it will display all the icons within the file. So that I can know which number is associated to which image
for example FolderIcons.dll,-8884 is associated with image of a folder with tools
Also, how to change the program icons?
Thanks

Using file explorer, or total commander(I think he cooks that in his roms) go to device> windows > start menu. You should there see all of your folders and icons. Hold down your finger to make a new menu, and cut/paste the icons in there

changing bookmark thumbnails

as the title says am i looking for at way to change the bookmark thumbnail to and icon.
so i fits better with the other quick shortcuts
using JWMD icon changer and iReflect for the apps
If I understand your request:
For Manila 2.1:
To change the Internet address:
Download the file from PDA to PC: InternetPortal.xlm
Open it with notepad and change the text and the Internet address.
To change the small icons:
The icons are in the form qtc, therefore:
Take the icon you want to enter, save with program like Infrawiew [if not already is] in png format, with the same program icon should be brought to the dimensions of 64x64.
Through the program m9editor 3.3.0.1 convert the file from .PNG in .QTC and put it in the Windows folder on your handheld.
Back to InternetPortal.xlm file and enter the file name .QTC we put in windows, then save your changes and return the file InternetPortal.xlm amended in its place.
Soft reset and there will be changes.
Backup first your original file InternetPortal.xlm

How to hide icons ?

Welcome. I am looking for a program where I could hide the icons in the start menu.
you can try jwmd icon changer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567080
or just go to \windows\start menu\programs and delete any app.lnk there using total commander or resco explorer ....
What exactly you wants to do by hiding icons?
Start menu in windows mobile (all versions) works the same way it works on a desktop.
You would need to browse the "Start Menu" folder in your device's "Windows" folder.
Install Total Commander file explorer (Google it for the link) and browse this folder.
The path may look like this:
"Device\Windows\Start Menu"
Once you in the folder, copy whichever icon you wants to hide and paste them in some folder where you can browse and access those applications.
Once copied, you can delete those icons from the Start Menu folder and the Icon won't reflect there anymore. These icons are nothing but a Shortcut to the application which was created either when you installed any app or your Windows OS installed it whenever it was installed on your device.
WARNING: Remember do copy those icons/Shortcuts before deleting otherwise you won't be able to access those apps unless you know their parent file location on your phone.
