Instant messenger with no data

is there an app or somthing thats lets you sign on aim but doesnt use DATA
instead it uses text like the non htc or smartphones?

yes, its called texting :/
on a serious note, there are programs like that out there.

I suspect he means in texts. I had this on my iphone too, but when my g/f send me some it just hows as a blank box. would be nice to get this in the HD2

Yeah I would like this also...G/F has the iphone and I get the same black box. I found it for another phone on here and installed it and it didnt work.

Have A GS6 on hand. How can I help root?

Hey guess I recently got a hold of a GS6 and would like to help the development in creating a way for root access. Im not very familiar on what is needed to begin rooting development but I'd like to help as much as I can.

Yup, you'll have to do a system dump, probably need to unlock boot loader etc, but chainfire is someone you'll want to reach out to.
Also, would love to know battery life!!

What carrier or is it international brand? AT&T and Verizon have locked the bootloaders in the past making it hard to root!
Also can you show some of the theme changer in the settings, thanks.

It's SM-G920F so it's international variant. At&T should be G920A

Yeah sorry I hadnt had a chance to get on XDA and respond. Battery life to be complete honest I am demoing the device 24/7 and so far on hard usage i'm getting 6-7 hours. But thats with the phone on full brightness and pushing the phone to its limits. Tomorrow I will be able to provide accurate battery life i will a free day and will be able to see how long it last without demoing it all the time.
I will so provide screen shots of my battery from yesterday and a screen shot from today.
Thanks for putting in contact with the right people I will contact them and do a system dump and hopefully get this started.

Maybe you can post sot time

Can you upload its Firmware? So we can extract some interesting stuff?

You guys are so wrong on that one.
SOT is probably the worst way to tell a phones battery life.
Were Bluetooth, Locations and other things on? Screen brightness? What apps installed? What was on the screen? A web page? Gaming? (remember this is amoled and darks are easier than whites too).
This really needs to stop because it seems to have spread to a point where more and more people are calling this a metric when it's not.
There are way too many unknown factors that will greatly effect SOT.

Data Usage Bug

So Max Weinbach just posted his android system shows 6TB yes terrabytes of data usage but then total usage of only 6gb. As you can see here mine says android has used 543GB but my total usage is still under half a GB.

Weird like I said it hasn't actually used that data though I'm only showing 300 some MB of usage and same shows on my T-Mobile account so wonder why it's reporting 500 some GB in that section only

Don't see why it would be. The data usage amount it shows is correct just Android System is reporting a crazy amount

Ya saw Max Weinbach post it on twitter so I looked at mine and saw it was doing the same thing. His says it's used like 5.9 terrabytes though and he's only used 6GB of data.

What's weird is on Wi-Fi when the system would do most data intensive task it's showing a normal 62mb used.

Confirmed on mine as well. T-Mobile running the 9.5.6 update.

I talked to T-Mobile he said my data usage isn't even near what it's showing and we are going to wait for the usage to reset the 1st of June and see if it does it again

Yup. This doesn't seem right haha. I've only had the phone for like a week. T-Mobile US phone.

Seen it on 9.5.4 (GM1917) as well, thought it was just me, said I used 5.6GB in under 30 minutes, made no sense and T-Mobile (on that simm) showed no usage.
