before it how to backup old rom?

I am having O2 XDA II mini in India.
The German edition with english installed.
I am not able to register on o2 website as it says that it is not a valid imei no. and also I would like to knw how to upgrade my o2 xda II mini with WM2003SE to WM2005.

Hi... I need help please if u can.... I have an xda II mini product and i want to upgrade my system software because now it dead... I tryed to upgrade my extrom and its failed and my xda II mini its dead... I try to register on o2 website and i cant do that with this my IMEI... Why ? When power up my xda II mini it stay in blank screen and display to screen just "serial" and "BT 1.02" ... What is that ? Wont power up....
