I just thought I would post my final setup, after a long process!
I am typing this very message, across a remote desktop connection from my Touch HD, using a Freedom Keyboard, and a MoGo x54 mouse. I have also installed Blue Input.
This combination seems to work, and it means that I can PROPERLY and functionally use my desktop computer from anywhere over GPRS.
Congratulations!

Has anyone tried it on their touch pro?
I'm not able to enter text via either the hardware keyboard or on screen pad, the "mouse" works great as I can click on anything, select text, etc. (so its not a lag/connection problem).
logmein worked great on my mogul seems odd it will not work since its the same ver of wm6.1, only thing thats different is the screen resolution but then I would expect screen artifacts and the mouse not working... but instead its the keyboard... weird stuff.

Same issue - soft/hard keyboard cannot enter password on the remote pc. I had tytn which worked well with logmein. Contacted logmein via email and they said not sure but to try the telephone support line (which I haven't yet). I attempted reinstalls of their phone app but no success.
Right now reverted to using remote desktop app which works but is less elegant as you need to ensure you have the correct ip address for the internet connection for the remote unit as well ports set up correctly on the router and/or modem.
I do find this issue rather strange as you said given it worked fine on earlier models.

hate to bug ya but how do you get the ip info and all that input for remote desktop?
I just tested this and i'm having the same problem too. a slow workaround is using the on screen keyboard on the computer with the stylus on the screen.
If you choose "Keyboard" - the WM default keyboard as your input device, you can use the WM onscreen keyboard. Still no use of the hardware keyboard, though. I did find that if I have the WM default keyboard selected, and on the screen, the next hardware key I press shows up, but then the on screen keyboard disappears and no more typing. Maybe this helps?
check this worked great for me, personally i think that the word suggest is useless anyway.

One Button works for me
my del button works, will delete text when i place the cursor in a field, jsut cant type tho... kinda weird
This is off topic, but relevant at the same time (?)
But what I use... and it works super fantastic is Hamachi; which I think is by LogMeIn.com
The purpose of this app is to basically create a "virtual private network" with other computers. Once you log in you can do anything you could normally do with a PC on the network (primarily used for gaming). I use Remote Desktop.
No fumbling with websites or browsers. Just run Hamachi in the background of your PocketPC and connect using Remote Desktop like normal. I use it with my 3G data network and it has been a life saver many many times.
[Update]
I can't find the mobile version on their site anywhere. When I downloaded it, it was in their "labs" section. The version is considered beta. I have uploaded the one I use with my HTC Fuze. I've used this with SQVGA, QVGA, and VGA with perfect success:
Hamachi Mobile Beta:

Hamachi for Windows:

Here is a review specifically about the Mobile product and some of its uses:

I use both LogMeIn and VNC to remotely access PCs and have noticed that that the dock touchpad only controls the mouse locally on the tablet and not the remote terminal. In order to control the mouse on the remote terminal I have to use the touch screen which is both annoying and defeats my purpose of the dock.
Is there any solution to this?
Try Jump Desktop. Its a RDP/VNC client with almost full dock support. Supports both left and right click with the dock, as well as scrolling on bluetooth mice. Only issue is that it doesnt support tap to click. Works great with my chrooted Debian.
The only issue with that is that I have clients set up with LogMeIn and VNC so getting them changed is just hassle.

Under settings in Logmein select direct mode for the mouse, that will do what you're looking for. There's no use of the right mouse button but at least the blue android mouse is what you'll be using to click/select/etc...

That doesn't work quite well either. That doesn't move the mouse in the remote session... I have to press the touchpads left mouse button to make the cursor move to where my Android mouse is.
At any one time I see two mice pointers (one remote computer and one Android) and then when I press the mouse button the PC one moves to where the Android one is.
Just ignore the PC mouse, if you don't pay attention to it it's not a big deal. I think I like logmein when not using the dock and Jump with the dock.
I'm running Droid VNC Server 1.1RC0; it starts up fine and I can connect (RealVNC Viewer on Mountain Lion), but the keyboard doesn't work. Actually, if I have a text entry field active with the soft keyboard onscreen, I can blind-type and when I click in the text area whatever I just typed appears all at once, but there's no "live" text entry. I've searched around and it seems like some people were having input problems with older versions of the server on ICS, but 1.1RC0 is listed as ICS compatible.
It's pretty annoying - when I'm at home I generally deal with messaging thru VNC, it's much easier to just plug my phone in on the nightstand and access it via the network; any help would be awesome. TIA.
I am using my Note 10.1 in a physical therapy clinic. We connect to our electronic medical record software using an RDP connection.
My problem: When I try to enter text into a field using any keyboard with a swype like function, the text repeats itself. When I try to enter my name, for example, it appears as DDenDenDenDenveDenver. WTF?
Does anyone know of an RDP program that works WITH android keyboards that support optimizations like swype or swiftkey's prediction?
I have pocketcloud but can't install (yet) the desktop application to connect to the server. IT says no, no. For now. . .
Thoughts? Ideas??
Try jump desktop, Swype works fine with it. The free version allows you to connect to one pc.
If you have a note, you will need to apply a setting that disables optimised drawing for the app to work properly or you may have display issues.
Works really well for me, I connect to my home pc when connected to Wi-Fi On my tablet.
So I've installed MirrorGo and Mymobiler, in MirrorGo I can't seem to find out how to configure that keyboard, in mymobiler it won't allow me to set the keys. I've even installed xpadder in windows to convert keyboard keys into gamepad keys, and it works. I can control a game in mymobile using the arrows in my joystick, but that's all I can do.
What I'm basically needing is:
A application that allows me to control my android using my PC's keyboard, gamepad or Joystick, from PC, through USB or Wifi (I prefer Wifi).
It doesn't need to be a mirror application (It is preferred not to be), as mirror apps have a delay.
The thing works like this:
Both android and pc have an app to connect to each other, I'll configure and connect my keyboard or gamepad on my pc to control my phone through USB or Wifi.
I've seen someone saying they had success using mymobiler, but I couldn't achieve the same.
