Hello,
I created playlists in WMP.
When dragging them to the sync panel and syncing to the storage card on my Leo, all the songs and folders are synced properly but not the playlists themselves (ie they don't appear in the playlist tab on the HTC playerÃ
I tried to copy them manually to HTC/Audiomanager/Playlists but it doesn't work either =(
Thanks a lot for your help
I second that!
Any response ?

WMP10 PLAYLISTS / SYNCING / BOOKMARKS AAARRGGHHHHHH!!!!!
 Sorry people but I'm F*%@!ng! fuming over this. The reason I like Winamp is becuase you hear something you like and all you do is "Add to Bookmarks", couldn't be simpler, and easy to copy and backup and replace, I wonder if Pocket Music is this simple? probably.
BUT WMP10 what a frikin knightmare!. I've tried the Windows Media Player 10 Mobile help sights, tried some of the SYNCING things, it did sync 29 things??? but still hasnt transfered My Playlists looking in the WMP Library on the XDA. SO in frustration I copy "My Playlists" from My Docs on my main PC to my PocketPC's Docs AND Storage Card to a folder called My Playlists, I Open WMP10 on the XDA, then using File Explorer in XDA to find the My Playlists then try to open them that way, oh no of course it isn't going to frikin work is it!! Playlists for WMP aren't associated with WMP10 eh!??? WTF!!! Why can't they make it simpler!!!??? AND I cant "FIND or SEARCH" the "My Playlist Folder" associated with WMP10 in my XDA, for the life of me someone please help me out.. sorry for the rant but I cant be the only one having this problem.
Welcome to M$ !!!
They way I use it:
- Check that all your music is in the WM10 library on your PC.
- You need to have all the playlists you want to sync in WM10 on your PC.
- WM10 (again the PC side) has a "sync" tab, which you need to use for synching to get your playlists to your PocketPC. Check the playlists you want to sync in the sync settings, hit "sync"
- You're done!
If you are using another music player and DON'T want to use WM10, you're out of luck....
Please excuse my noobness.

ok I just went to the Library and found My Playlists with the Radio Stations I like, clicked on Sync, found the folder on My pocketpc to send to, picked one and ticked it on the PC side, highlighted it, hit the green Start Sync button.. ERROR the player may not support the file... tryed a few more , same thing.. please excuse my noobness, I like to stream radio stations off the net, How do I "Add Bookmark" as it were into my own folder say My Playlists? I was able in version 9 but not 10 it seems. i'll keep trying, and thanks I'm getting closer.
Went into Sync settings
Went into Sync settings, ticked all the radio playlists, found My Playlists in My Documents on pocketpc & storagecard..
ERROR the player may not support the file...
tried a few more , same thing.. I made sure the player wasnt playing at the time, I have had no problem with active sync so far its the latest version, firewall is ok in program controls, and it's a very recent ROM, I have been able to stream 32kbps streams using a neighbors wifi connection but can't even manualy drag drop some playlists.
I feel your pain. I gave up on the sync thing with Windows Media player. It never worked right.
Been using Yahoo's music service and it works as advertised. Click sync and your done...no playlists though & it costs money. Still, good audio quality and its easy.
Thanks inbox7
Thanks inbox7, I am using www.radiofeeds.co.uk for UK radio listening links.
Also one work around (can't believe I just said that Microshaft!) I am saving the .asx links as Favourites. works anyway.
Slightly off topic, has anyone reading this managed to stream an MP3 stream using there XDA and a WIFI connection?, What is the maximum bitrate you achieved? I'll start a thread on this unless you can point me to one.
cheers all choppidge.
Im trying the WMP10 sync now.... 20% complete.... keeping my fingers crossed that itll work without a snitch... thanks!

I manage my Files with Media Player 11 on the PC and sync with the Storage Card of my PPC.
U can choose wich Files and Playlist should be synced.
U will see the playlists and files in the Media Player on PPC, and also in the HTC Audiomanager.
i have no windows on my desktop pc, iam using linux,
i send the mp3 files direct to the storage card, without syncing,
and the audiomanager search the complete pda, he cannot read m3u playlist.
the windows media player mixed the files too... not an different.. to the htc..
i think i must create self the playlist on my desktop pc and send them to the pda..
greets tk
It reads playlist in /Application Data/HTC/Audiomanager/playlist
The playlist file has not extention.
Make a playlist with some program, delete extention and try.
I try the reverse operation, and work.
Playlist Manager
Try this playlist manager to create play list and play with media player. Its freely available from freewarepocketpc.net.
thanks.. for this file
Hi,
I'm having problem where the music tab does not display the photo for most of the music I synced from my notebook.
I tried opening Windows Media Player on my Touch Pro and all the musics have photo attached to them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Found solution at http://discuss.pocketnow.com/showthread.php?p=74481#post74481
Anyway, people should start complaining to HTC regarding this issue as the TouchFlo 3D music tab is not WMP compliance.
Ok, the solution found in the page above would actually solve the problem for one time sync. If you want to continuously sync your music, then it would be best to add the album art into the music files directly by tagging them.
So, here's the steps:
Use WMP to update album info. This would eventually add album art.
Download Mp3tag at http://www.mp3tag.de/en
Install and start Mp3tag
Press CTRL+D (Change Directory) and browse to your music folder
Press CTRL+A to select all files
Click the "Actions (Quick)" icon on the toolbar
Select "Import cover from file"
Type "Folder.jpg" and click OK
Wait until complete and sync to your device
If you have previously synced, then the album art would stay as before, delete the HTC folder in Application Data folder on your device and restart your device
hm that's baaaaad. it should support images in the directory
I have some MP3 with album covers embedded in MP3 TAG, copied in my HTC HD via USB disk but TF3D don't recognize the images...
little bit of necromancy
I`ve used put folder.jpg in album folder. working with everything
I am running the new Lantis OS rom and i don't know if it has to do with the rom or something else.. I used windows media play to sync music to my phone, the music is there but when i go to the music tab on touchflo it only displays one song, but i can click library and select a different song, but it doesn't allow me to flip through them like it should. Can someone help me on this one please?
Try to update your library first?
In windows media player? Sorry, i don't use music on my phone that often but i would like to start.
Steven,
This happened to me last week too where the album art in TF3D will just show only 1 image for all the songs and sometimes you get the feeling that your music is not being changed once a song is finished. What i did was to make a folder inside a music folder for each album and then put album art in all the folders and name it as folder.jpg and after that my music tab is working fine and without any problems.
Thanks for the reply i will have to try that. There is one thing though when i used windows media player on my desktop computer to sync music it put all the albums in separate folders in a music folder on my storage card.
Hi all,
I am looking for some advice, having come up with sweet FA after searching Google, XDA forums, app FAQs etc. I have somehow stuffed up my media library after playing with playlists and music in Windows Media Player (WMP) sync.
The fist time I synced music and playlists to my phone with WMP it worked perfectly. After later transferring some songs by copying to SDcard and overwritingr playlists, I've now run into a problem which causes my default music player Apollo to show only the music and playlists I originally synced, although browsing my SDcard shows all my other songs and playlists in the same folders. Here is a list of what I have tried so far to no avail:
Ending the WMP partnership and starting again
Unmounting and remounting SDcard
Using 'RescanMedia' app
Clear Data for MediaStorage and Apollo apps
Manually deleting related database files in /data/data
Reinstalling WMP on Win7
Formatting SDcard, starting with a fresh ROM and retrying the WMP sync (very weird that this didn't work - makes me think it's WMP)
No matter what I do, when WMP says I have synced successfully, the same old song list reappears in Apollo despite hundreds more songs being in the Music folder.
I'm using a Sony Xperia Neo V MT11i with cm_haida-0.3.antibillos ROM.
Any tips are apprecaited.
