Hi folks,
Like the title says,
I'm new to winmo after a hiatus of over 4 years. Loving my HD2/Leo (after sorting out some teething problems!).
I know there are hundreds if not thousands of apps that will work with the Leo but I would love to hear from seasoned winmo users; what are the first 5 3rd party apps you load up on your new device ......and more importantly, why?
Freeware is always good but I don't mind spending money on an application that does the job right.
So, what are your "Desert Island Apps"?
The apps you can't live without?
The apps that show off the functionality of Windows Mobile?
The apps that just "get things done" & of course the apps that are good for relaxation/entertainment..
Do tell!
Cheers,
wab.
Resco explorer, Skype, Palringo, SPB Traveler, Pocketmusic, iGO8, Opera, CorePlayer
Thanks for the quick first response, just like your name
Why those apps? Why Pocketmusic over HD2's built in one for example (though I think I know the answer to that!).
Didn't know skype app worked on the Hd2. Must investigate!
Cheers,
wab
hi
1) Resco explorer - best file explorer
2) Core player - best divx, flv, avi media player
3) Igo8 - my fav satnav
4) Spb backup - name says all
5) Experiment 13, Resco bubbles - gaming
I have just 1 app. which has travelled with me for a long, long time and has seen many devices, started with the old Windows CE Philips Velo: PhatNotes.
Oh yeah, and ListPro (of cause ...)
The rest is subject to changes. Changes that are mainly influenced by the device I'm using. Right now, I'm trying to substitute as many apps as possible for finger-friendly apps.
Cheers folks. Yes, Finger Friendly is good!! I like how the new 1.48 ROM seems to have pinch/zoom in more old apps. PhatNotes and List Pro I have to check out!
Keep 'em coming.
For me right now
1 - Mobipocket Reader/AlReader - For eBooks
2 - Pocket Informant - For PIM and GTD
3 - The Channer/CorePlayer - For Watching TV (when it works) and Media files
4 - Sugarsync - For Files on the go/sync'd to work computer
5 - YoMo Media - For RSS feeds
Above list subject to dramatic change based on suggestions in this thread!
Of cause, how could I forget Mobipocket. A pity though that browsing by tapping on the screen is such a hassle with the responsive screen of the HD2. Although I defined a big margin, I couldn't help selecting text so now and then instead of tapping to go page up or down.
But don't let me kidnap this thread... keep the suggestions comming
Just on that appelflap, in mobipocket, if you go to menu>options>general and under "Default selection action" change that to "None", its then a lot easier to change pages.
I've mine set up with the orientation and full screen icons visible at the bottom on app start (uncheck "Use Windows Mobile 2005 Softkeys" in toolbars tab to see these).
I then use icons to rotate screen and then enable full screen and then it works fine.
I can't go back to "normal screen" from here but its easy to hit the home button and open app again to get back to non full screen mode. I usually just hit home when I finish reading anyway and leave it in the background until I get a chance to read again.
Hope that makes sense and helps!
But anyway, on with the indispensible app finding!
Like appelflap said, keep those suggestions coming, especially for noobies (and there are a lot I think since Leo came out!!).
Resco Explorer - best explorer for me
Alreader2 - for .fb2 books
Navitel - for navigation
PhatPad - for notes
More or less these are my top 5:

4)SpriteBackup~backup prog works very well for me
5)e-Natives Showcase~The best taskmanager for the one that is missing on the Leo!
1. iGO8 for SatNav

1.3.6 is not designed for use in a Snap Dragon CPU.
Core Player opens up, but pressing the Play button causes a total freeze "of the entire unit, then only a soft reset the unit back to life.
tHIS DOES HAPPEN..twice to me, and removed it..reportedly the community is wating for the release of Coreplayer 2.0, said to take care of the incompatabilities with 1.36. Guess I am waiting too...
Actually I opted to can Core playerand got Kinoma Play.
I'd used and liked Wisbar 3 but not in the HD2! Turns out that Lakeridge is beta testing version 4 for WM 6.5 right now.
Mine are:
eWallet
Resco Explorer
Pocket Informant
Phat Notes
Sprite Backup Full Version 6.5.5 bld 1
Sorry 'bout all the added info but there's my 5.
Take Care
I've been using Coreplayer v1.3.5 build 7340.
Never had any freezes or had to soft reset.

Hi
I don't understand as everybody consider a ROM as good if it is disable to run properly Adobe Reader 2.0.
I use a lot the Adole Reader 2.0 which has reflow mode, essential feature to read pdf documents e.g. pdf electronic books and I use the Tytn II to read books. As all you know, Adobe Reader LE has not this feature and so it is useless.
For instance, in Schap 4.31 and 4.30 there is a conflit between Adobe Reader 2.0 and Task manager (X button). If we open the Adobe Reader 2.0 and open a pdf document, it works. However when we click in the cross X to close the Adobe Reader, Tytn II crash with these ROMs. We can avoid this closing the Adobe using the command Exit; however this is not practical.
For me, by default, Schap's ROMs have the best looking.
I use the Task Manager (X button) configured to close the program, not minimize it.
- Original HTC and Sleuth 1.0 ROMs have not this problem and so I use Sleuth 1.0.
- Q-mobile 1.2 ROM has only one background, it is disable to configure automatically the phone provider, it has no game neither voice dial. It has a interesting GPS tool to observe satellites before start Tomtom and TCPMP by default.
- Schap’s 4.30 has the problem mentioned above, but has Advanced configuration tool. It has not Java and Voice dial neither GPS tool.
- Schap’s 4.31 has a better Advanced configuration tool and it has a interesting GPS tool. It has not Java and Voice dial.
- Jack’s 1.1a has a lot of interesting programs, but it’s a little different of normal way to work with the Tytn II and we need to learn a little more about this ROM. It has a program called Multipad that is fantastic to write notes by hand with a thin line and quick to write. However the physical keyboard has some symbols changed of position. It has by default Battery status and Resco Explorer v6.17 what is good. It has lot of games but only two backgrounds. It has no X button and we need to install other like magic button. This ROM, however, it seems a little unstable.
- Laurentius26 v_1 has Schap’s Advanced configuration tool v1.1. It has the same problem with Adobe Reader 2.0; after close this program, Start icon crash. Resco Explorer doesn’t run properly in this ROM; this is also a problem with others ROMs; to observe this problem, try to see Windows files using the up and down arrows; it is very slow to do this.
Thanks very much.

Not to be rude and nothing against you, but, your post just cracked me up man!
Am not sure what your point is here but I sure hope it's not being hung up on whether Adobe Reader works perfectly on a ROM or not. All of the other apps that you're talking about are available as cab files so you can install them as you wish on your "perfect" ROM...
Mmm... I don't have any problem with running Resco Explorer on my build
Adobe Reader I took out and replaced with PocketXPDF which runs much better then Adobe in my opinion.
Do you use latest builds of your software?

As I stated in my notes, my rom is targeted for ATT Tilt (since this is what I have), and keyboard mapping to HTC variant (e.g. Tytn II) is just a removal of one registry key.
Background? Different people just have different taste on it so I just take it out from the rom and let people add whatever they like later.
For X Button, HTC's one is probably the worest I ever use. User unfriendly, too less function for too many memory use compare to Wisbar, SPB close button, WKTASK, ... etc. BTW, QuickMenu in my rom has this feature too.
Unstable? Can you give more detail?
For PDF file, you may want to check out Piscel Browser. Much better than Pocket Adobe IMHO.
There is no best or perfect rom (unless you build one for yrself). Only ROMs that will serve some people the most.
To get the perfect ROM
Hi Sherpa, Moi5508 and ROMs makers
Excuse me to insist.
I wish to thank very much to all ROMs makers. My goal is indeed to give my contribute to get a perfect ROM. Unfortunately I don’t know to make a ROM.
I know we can customize any ROM of Tytn II with cabs. However, for me, makes no sense to have by default in a ROM a Task Manager (X button) to close the programs and we can not use it; we need instead to install other like e.g. Magic Button because the default X button crash Tytn II.
In my job, in a Project department in a shipyard, we need to read lot of reports, rules, catalogues, books, etc, which usually are in a pdf format and Word format. That´s the reason why Adobe Reader 2.0 with reflow feature is so important.
I think that Tytn II is to use mainly for professional purpose like a PC as it is a Pocket PC, not only like a phone or a GPS, and so on.
Lot of members are preoccupied with amount of memory and request Big Storage taking off important software and lot of customize possibility, resulting in a big work and time, loading cabs, installing and testing them.
I think that, even if we don’t use them usually, a good ROM must have by default, software we normally have in a PC.
Original HTC ROM, unfortunately has bugs, but it has practically most of the important software we need to use in a professional environment, less the Adobe Reader 2.0, I don’t know why as it’s free.
For me makes no sense to reduce the capability of Tytn II. On the contrary we must to increase its possibility e.g. with a decent Internet Explorer and others like a PC. For instance we need Java to install mini Opera.
Thanks
Cribeiro
Hi Laurentius26 - PocketXPDF & Resco
Hi Laurentius26
Thanks very much for your answer.
Resco Explorer runs well in your ROM when folder has few files. At Windows folder which has thousands of files is noticeable what I mentioned, it’s slow using the up and down arrows; at list in my Tytn II WWE Europe one.
I don’t know PocketXPDF. Can you please tell me if this one has reflow mode (to read a pdf it only move up and down because reflow split a long text line in several small ones that match display size.
Please tell us the site to find it.

Hi jackleung - Multipad is fantastic
Hi jackleung
Thanks very much for your answer.
As I said, your ROM is very interesting as it has lot of useful software by default; as it is a little unusual I feel that I need more time to learn to use it; may be I was using wrongly the software and I found a little instability, my fault; as I use Tytn II in a professional environment, like a PC, I have few time to learn using it and test all features.
Multipad is fantastic; please tell us the site where is the cab.
You said "Piscel Browser. Much better than Pocket Adobe IMHO". Where is the cab please. Has it reflow mode, I mentioned in the previous (above) post, as Adobe Reader 2.0?
Thanks very much

For multipad, you can just copy the exe file from my rom, no cab or installation is needed. For Piscel, I am not sure what is reflow mode, but you drag, scroll, zoom in/out with just yr finger motion. (This feature is long before Iphone or HTC FLoflow exist). U can check out this site for detai: http://www.picsel.com/index.php/solutions/view/C11/ For cab, you probably can search this site or google for it.
In the Windows directory it's always slow reading, that's not a problem of Resco. If you use the default explorer you have the same issue.
PocketXPDF you can find here:
http://pocketxpdf.sourceforge.net
All info can be found there as well.

Leo

But you will see a BIG different if you need to sort the file, resco return almost instantly and Windows could takes couple mins to finished.
For Resco, it make a big different if you check "hide file in rom" (why we need to see files that we can't change anyway?)
There are a few PDF viewers out there for the PDA. To be honest I include Adobe LE in mine because I was comparing it with the older Clearvue--and Adobe LE is INCREDIBLY faster on large document loads and viewing than Clearview was.
There is now two others (the XPDF mentioned here and another that escapes me at the moment) which people claim to be superior to even Adobe LE. One day I'll get around to testing them and see if that is true for speed in a large document as well (the most useful to me).
But right now I'm happy with the default feature set of my ROM, everything works together without crashing and people can easily add specific things they like to their device to make it run the way they want. The next planned update of Q-Mobile won't be until HTC releases an update that fixes some major issues (better drivers for the MSM7200 to improve battery life, video performance, etc). Or windows mobile 6.1 professional becomes available

after testing almost all the cooked roms I actually settled down on yours! Thank you again!
Adobe Reader 2.0 reflow feature is indispensable
Hi
I know ClearView and Adobe Reader LE (Light Edition). These pdf readers are useless as they have not reflow mode.
Adobe Reader 2.0 is free and has reflow mode.
This feature takes e.g. a A4 text size, e.g. letter size 10 or 12, and in each A4 line, it split the long original line is several small lines in order each small line match the Pocket PC display size. In this way, to read the text, we only need to move the text up or down; it is not necessary to move the text to left or right.
Furthermore by each click in the D-pad it moves a complete pocket display page up or down permiting to read a document or a book in a very confortable way.
Adobe Reader full version compared to LE version is HUMONGOUS! Blah!
PocketXpdf is worst than Adobe Reader 2.0
I gave it a try to PocketXpdf and this is worst than Adobe Reader 2.0 (don't make confusion with Adobe Reader LE which is very bad).
PocketXpdf is slow, it has a little feature like reflow from Adobe Reader 2.0, but it's slow, and the pages scrolling is very bad, when compared with Adobe Reader 2.0.
I please ask to ROM makers that (when they put by default the X button from HTC (Task Manager), and the user configure it to close the programs) please test in their ROMs, if Adobe Reader 2.0 when it is closed using the X upper right display corner icon, doesn't crash Tytn II.
I remenber that HTC original and Sleuth 1.0 ROMs works perfectly in this point, and so there must be something in others ROMs to appear the problem.
I would like very much to use others of your ROMs, whose are fantastics, and I'm disable due to this problem.
Thanks
cribeiro
From my point of view the PDF readers in cooked ROMs are there just to be able to read some PDF if needed, not to do supa-dupa magic with it. It's your option to install different PDF reader that suits you well.
You are saying that after closing the Adobe Reader (full) it crashes your phone.
Have you tried different Task Manager?
I'm using Q-Mobile 1.2 as in my opinion it is closest to the stock ROM but with MUCH better improvements, speed and stability.
Try this one and try installing different task managers, maybe you will find one that fits you best without crashes.
My 2 cents...
where can i find different task managers... i also want to use my tilt to read ebooks and i understand where he is coming from. i would love to get my rom'd tilt to run 2.0 or even find half way decent TTS software to read it to me while i drive... i have already converted the last 4 books i have read to word using my adobe 7.0 pro but that is a pain to have to do before every book.

hi marios96, try frotzce or pocketfrotz with all the various interactive fiction files (hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, zork etc.). if you are bored with that you can try the nethack port. if you are bored with that you can install pocketconsole and pocketcmd and compile all those unix console games (mastermind, hangman etc).
can we use this thread for useful applications.
whether its tools to customize or certain programms. There are a lot of people who didn't own one of the latest HTC devices, thus they don't have a clue about the names of certain apps.
Those who do, could help them to install the right tools for their needs.
Too Right
we need load of appz for this phone like the iphone has. we must use the multitouch on board and develop loads of application for the HD2. So all you programmers out there get busy when the device comes out and give us some mega apps for this mega phone
the only MUST-HAVE app for me (and I've always had a few that I really like to have) is PhoneAlarm,
this is the best program I have ever found for conserving that all important battery life.
it allows you to set profiles and then switch to these profile based on time, gps location etc. The result is that you can switch things on and off as you need them (bluetooth, wifi, etc etc) which results in minimal power being used when you don't need the things turned on. for example, I have mine set to switch to flight mode at 12pm and then turns back on at 6.30am, this means my phone is effectively off at night (using virtually no power) and switches back on in the morning without me having to do anything. Why not just turn the phone off I hear you ask, well because if I did that I couldn't use the alarm to wake me up in the morning, and I would have to suffer the reboot time (which, lets be honest, isn't great is it)
and it's cheap to buy,
Please developers can we have an app like painting. an app that lets you paint like on the iphone, my little girl is crazy for that. I think the app is called "Brushes" just take a look at theses pics
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...i-masterpieces-finger-painting-new-level.html
I can realy seccond that!
My brother who is a iPhone user showed me lots and lots of nice apps making life easier and fun.
Prisjakt för example is a nice app that scans the thing you want to buy in a store and tells you the best price close to where you are.
Many many apps like this made me a bit confused wither i should still go WM or go over to the dark side... nah...
And why not a Mafia Wars app for WM as well?
Also include Sprite Backup for any kind of backups we may perform on our Leo's prior to flashing
Essentials for me are:
Resco contact manager (dont know with the new sense)
Pocket irc
SPB pocket plus & spb weather (dont know with the new sense)
Mypersonaldiet & MyPersonalTraining (Gym rat)
Resco explorer, because the WM explorer is a ****.
pocket player (good music player)
HiCalc
Tomeraider 3 (wikipedia offline)
Lexisgoo dictionary
ThumbCal
Coreplayer
Vito Audio Notes
Touch Pal (the best keyboard)
Pocket clock pro (best alarm and date/hour software so far)
SpaceTime 3.0 (maths)
PhatPad (to take notes, but I think that will be unusable in a capacitive screen)
SkyFire
Background all tabs...
I had touch hd and all tabs background was a very good app!
Thank's!
two apps I'd love are an ebay app and sky TV app....but no sign of such things anywhere...except on the iphone and since I can't wait to get rid of the stupid thing, I will have to suffer the lack of these two.
I also will have
Resco Registry Editor
Resco Explorer
Schapps Advanced config (assuing it will work on the HD2)
SPB Wireless (for tracking my internet usage)
SPB Time (as silly as it sounds, I found the snooze on WM too small when I'm half awake in the morning)
Resco Photo viewer (for editing images so I can send them via MMS)
I'd add Total Commander, enabling to change/overwrite system-files (such as the weather_cities.xml for other locations)
Generally I'd also really like to see such an variety of free apps for HTC devices as for the iPhone, cos I really don't want to buy such a piece of fruit, but the advantages keep growing...
I'm a Touch Cruise user, and really reading with suspense the first user-reports on the HD2, hoping it'll not be such a disappointment than my TC, but I fear I'll be disillusionned again from what I'm reading till now...
the sad thing is, there are a whole bunch of apps on the iphone that are free, and yet I would gladly PAY for them if they were on WM.
Cool needed Apps
okey, here we go,
Paint like VS paint or Vs Note pad,
Media like Core player, SPB TV or Dimond TV,
Games like Sky force, and Emulators like nes snes + Roms
barcode reader + step counter or pedometer etc...
Comic Reader Mobi
My single favourite app is Comicreader Mobi which makes comics look bloody awesome on the HD2!
I also use Kinoma Play.
* Resco Keyboard Pro.
Improves typing A LOT on the sensitive HD2 screen (due to the fact that it doesn't allow to change a character once you pressed one on the keyboard)
* Pocket Player with this skin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563410
(no more fooling around with the buggy "Audio Booster", ust use the built-in EQ of Pocket Player. Better liberary browsing etc. )
Finger Keyboard 2.1 *free*
Batti 2.1 *free* (I love to be able to see my battery level as a thin bar on the top of the screen)
HTCaddicts CleanRAM 1.8 *free* The best RAM cleaner there is
Microsoft Voice Command (incredibly useful when driving)
SPB Newsbreak (Using this allows me to save so much time as opposed to using a browser alone)
TouchOff 0.5.0 *free* (For simple soft rests)
Touch response *free* (To enable more haptic feedback options)
SPB Traveller (For conversions, currency rates, etc)
Crackwhore's old style snooze options *free* (cause I simply cant use one fixed snooze alarm... this takes it back to the old style of being able to set the set the snooze length of time)
Coreplayer
Advanced Config Tool 3.3 *free*
Dutty's HTC task manager *free*(I really still cant let go of hit x to close apps)
Ewallet (for easy secure access to all my passwords, logins and other sensitive info)
Thanks to the others that have posted, I am keen to check out Comicreader Mobi too and a couple of other apps.
Sorry! Double post!
Must-haves for anybody:
SPB Shell
SPB Keyboard
One of: Resco File Explorer, Total Commander or similar
SPB Keyboard fixes all problems with HD2 keyboards, and SPB Shell is more practical IMO than the TouchFlo 3D interface.
Must haves for tweakers:
SKTools
Advanced Configuration
There's a lot of other good software I could list (e.g. TCPMP), but not everyone wants or needs them, so I don't consider them "must haves".

Do you know of any free alternative to that comic book reader app. I`d love to be able to read comics on my HD2 (for which I`m waiting eagerly(I`m from Romania btw)).
for me: Zooomer - I really like this tool

Trust me, none of them match up to this. It's worth the cost to be able to view the whole page full screen and tap on a bubble to zoom it to readable size! Plus, there's a free desktop version!
Hey My CDMA Compadre's... i was just wondering if u cud spare 5mins of your time and let me know the TOP 5 apps that you must have on ur Winmo 6.5...
(Please leave out the standard like twitter, google maps and Facebook).. the other utilities that are a must have!!!
Please list.. as this is designed to help others know what to download....
Sort of a tough question the way you've put it out there: Top 5 apps... but not Social networking and navigation stuff? Just basic no frills must-have utilities, then?
-A better file Explorer/registry editor (I use Resco's Explorer/Registry Editor)
-A useful memory tool (MemMaid or CleanRAM)
-Some type of backup program (I use SPB BAckup, in conjunction with Microsoft's MyPhone utility)
-A better task manager (Fdc Soft Task Manager v3.1)
-A better do-it-all media player (I recommend CorePlayer)
Just the basic must haves IMO.
S2U2
Sprite Backup
Resco Explorer
IM+
Trapster (alerts you to red light cameras and speed traps)
other must-haves for me that probably dont apply to anyone else:
Vito AstroNavigator (skymapping software)
GeoScout (Geocaching, fun hobby)
Resco Explorer 2010 (have nice new features such as Task manager)
Resco Photo Manager 7 (the best photo manager & viewer)
Inesoft Cash Organizer 8 (managing money has never been so good)
IM+ 7.7.1
Garmin mobile 5
Magical 2.2.4 (blacklist ur unwanted call & sms)
Sktools
Skschema
SPB Wireless Monitor
SBSH Calendar Touch
Opera Mobile
Fingerkeyboard
JWMD Icon changer
Google Maps
Track Me
TreNotes
Merriam Websters Unabridged Third New International Dictionary

I could be totally missing some features on Resco's new Task Manager, but it appears to me to be only slightly more useful than the one running in WM 6.5/Sence 2.1.
Hardly compares to Fdc Soft's Task Manager which can control running processes, services, start up management and much, much more.
Resco Explorer
CorePlayer
SPB Radio
Resco Bubbles
and you just gotta have hdWobble

I use FDC stuff too. But for practical reason & nice GUI, I use Resco 2010 task manager. Resco 2010 task manager is different from previous version which on 2010, u could assign resco task manager to hard key. Check it out on resco website
As per the title, what's the killer app(s) you recommend for Leo please?
Would a Mod class as an App? If so, Co0kies home tab!
coOkies - and now the thread can be closed best app ever
- Sprite Backup (the most important app!)
- Cookie's Home Tab
- BsB Tweaks (even though I don't use it )
- WiFi toggle cab
- Bluetooth toggle cab
- CorePlayer
- any registry editor
- SkyFire browser
- PhoneAlarm 2.32
These are the must-haves to start with IMO.
Thanks for the input folks, i have to say co0kie's really is the business, even though it's an interface mod as opposed to an app, and i just love it, but my question relates strictly to 'apps'
Appreciate everyone's taste and opinion on what they class as a killer app...
I'll be checking out the ones i've not tried
Thanks

hmmmmm.... yeh ok m8
Ok, strickly apps...
BsB Tweaks
Opera Mobile 10
Resco File Explorer
G-Alarm
Fpsece, I just can't stop playing Street Fighter EX2 . Other suggestions:
co0kie's mod
Swype with Lesscro skin
iGo8
G-profile
In fact there are loads of things on my HD2 which I think are killer and as a bonus it makes and receives phone calls, yes phone calls how amazing is that lol.
Fpsece 0.10 (supporter version for maximum impressiveness)
Crayon Physics
Pocket Sand (dont like to use on HD2 as much as I did on HD, stylus owns)
Opera 10
Resco Suite
Oh yea, and Swype. Funny because I thought it was a stupid concept at first, but after using it, I can't use anything else haha.
The best app on my Device is that i can Phone with it
No, Cookie´s is the best!
Netflix
If you have a netflix account i would say that Netflix Mobile is a great app to manage your Q and it even lets you see previews of the movies right on the phone
LMT - Gesture Launcher - best app for task switching and various other functions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629263
S2U2 & S2P
APMobile
Resco Photo Manager (paid)
SPB Time (paid)
I second LMT Launcher and add GarishKernels Egress 4.1 (RSS reader)
FpseCE best app ever!
It does bug me that most of the killer apps people mention are tweaks and mods over useful/fun apps, still...
s2p player as a music player
G-Remote as a remote control for my Media Server TV
CorePlayer (altho a similar app really should have come included)
AlReader - ebook reader
HD2tweak
Chainfire 3d patch
Freda
S2U2+s2p
tcpmp
Cookies
garmin/igo/copilot/tomtom/navigon all great on hd2, just pick your one.
oh yeah -phone.exe and htc_messaging with exchange support
Reading this has actually made me realise I don't actually have many apps at all!
But the ones I use most and couldn't live without are...
TomTom Navigator 7
Skyfire (with tvcatchup.com bookmarked for Freeview on the go! (I'm sure O2 will be telling me to moderate my data usage soon!))
UK Live Rail Departures (for my job!)
Nanogroove/Scilor's GrooveMobile
YouTube (even though it's built in...use it all the time!)
WebVideoDownloader (WVD)
WinMobile Torrent
And that built in "cprog.exe" process is quite good because it enables you to make calls on it as well....I know, shocking! But try it, it works. Press the send key and a keypad comes up with the numbers of all you friends and you can speak to them with it. But don't go telling everyone. It's a big secret.
Here are my must-haves that have been with me since my HP PDA:
eWallet
TomTom
ListPro
PhatNotes
1Calc
I'm not counting utilities like PocketMechanic and others. Necessary though they may be, I figured you were talking about productivity, not maintenance.
I'd opened a similar thread, but most of the wm apps is for customizing the phone.
Thanks for the replies guys, keep 'em coming please... all welcome
Some of these i'm aware of but i haven't tried many at all yet. I'd much rather get decent experienced opinions first instead of whacking allsorts on my HD2, only to uninstall later...
I see no-one has mentioned MSS Converter, which I myself class as a killer. The amount of conversions this app can do is just excellent. A must have AFAIC
Thanks again
