Hi guys, I have tried the MAXTTM to make the top and bottom all transparent, but unsuccessful. I clicked the top curtain and bottom curtain all transparent but nothing changed. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

use hdwall to make a load of cab files, and use either the hdwall wallpaper selector which you can download from the hdwall thread, or just install which cab file you want when you want.!

Hi very nice tutorial
but I've followed it
and followed it while setting "skin task and bottom bar" in advanced config
It creates the myWallpaper.cab for all tabs (but the lock screen)
But the Task and bottom are still Black? (or very dark)
I even tried fumbling with the "opacity" slider
but no real luck (not clear how o interpret them)
At best I get a very dark task bar on the home page
Sometime the landscape is best othertimes its the lock page
(I use my unshrunk original for it)
The tutorial and help has been great here
but I do get to create the cab, its just the transparent taskbars
I guess advanced options that I'd really love to see some babysitting in

thats not a solution, that is a bad patch.
I want to change like other people the bars from one color to transparent, and dont have to lose my time with 2054 cabs for any wallpaper.

try this cab mate, its pretty easy to use. install the cab, run it, then go to WM6.5 menu at the bottom, choose the option "both" under component then choose "wallpaper" under change method option, then press convert. and your done. when changing your wallpaper again you have to re-do the whole process again though.

looks like the guy who tried this was trying to change the wrong thing. changing the top/bottom curtain isnt changing the taskbars. also he might not of downloaded the right cab version with the WM6.5 option on the bottom.
Worked fine but messed my lockscreen up, and it seems like maxttm dont work at all when you have Max manila installed (besides removing the taskbars)
After 14 days of searching and trying different caps i still cant remove the bottom curtain.

No you don't haver to redo it everytime you change. You just tick "use standard deployment" and then you can change your wallpaper like you do normally through the settings tab.
Luckily I don't use max manilla!

You need to have BG4all enabled. After that it should work, unless you have Max Manilla interfering.

when you click 'menu' in the settings section, it used to take me to a screen where i could adjust menu bar colors and other menu related options, similar to full version windows. however now, when i click 'menu' which has the same icon the old program did, its actually takes me into 'start menu' options. did he move the other 'menu' , top car color options somewhere else??? or is it just a bug. is there possibly a fix...couldnt find anything in thr 170 page thread

it has always been about what items (7) you want on the start menu !!
That has always been like that default !!!
you must have been thinking of something else regarding the menu bar colors and other menu related options ...etc

Why would you create a new thread for a Rom that already has a thread?!?
Now that you have created this thread...which Rom are you refering to?!?
If after 170 pages, you didn't find a resolution for your issue...it probably doesn't exist...hence the term "User Error"
You've been around long enough to know better

i have a blckglossy prog for the top 2 bars
but all my program bars are blue
so is there a way to cchange the colors on the program bars without changing the theme?? thats all i need to know i guess

you were kinda vague... if you want them to be black in all the programs... run the exe file... it you want to make them blue or any other color... run the cab for ui tweaker... run the program... and play with it... it has a lot of options including changing just the bar

what would be cool is if you could turn it on ana off. maybe slide the slide bar down to vanish then up to re appear. its probabily not possible but would be good to have the option to make it clear and solid at a press of a button.

All you guys might have to do is either edit icons.mode9 manila file and set visible=false under the icons you don't want displayed (there are 3 references/icon - 1 big preview, 1 for off, and 1 for on). You need to just add the line visible=false under each qtc for _on and _off icons. You can do this easily with m9editor.
You could also do a dirtier way of just making the icons totally transparent. This could be easily accomplished by downloading a custom icon set for your manila version, creating a transparent png square the size of the icon, and using cfcgui to replace all of the small icons in the slider with the transparent png. The bigger icon is used for the preview on your screen.
I've attached a cab using the 'dirty' way of doing it. The slider has a line at the bottom as suggested by Prodildo. It should work with 2.5.1921, 2.5.1922, 2.5.2011 and maybe others (slider I took the files from was compatible with those). The only problem I noticed was the date is still displayed on the invisible calendar icon (the 1 in the screenshot). That can probably be fixed in a mode.9 file, but I am at work and do not have access to a manila file dump.
**edit - I added the fix for the date doesn't show now on the invisible icon (but does show on big icon while switching tabs)

Installation guide:

Noob question
Bit ashamed i know but i just cant view it. Installed the cab, it resets but doesnt appear.
Checked today settings, changed personalise home wallpaper, animated etc but then it reverts the album which is just jpegs, im missing something simple...........anyone point me in the right direction so i can see these bubbles

I dont get it. I've uninstaled bubbles. The wallpaper was old (circles). Then instaled once again bubbles... Reset HD2. And bubbles was there. Are you sure you turn it on well?

Thats the prob, ive done just that but only the 3 in built ones are there, no bubbles. The cab automatically installs so i know its not the prob, i know sometimes it must be installed to the phone not storage but its automatic so i cant figure out why i cant see it.
My app replace original circle (the orange one). Try to tap on it and wait for effect.
BTW. Which version of ROM you have?

I had this on the 2.07 test rom as well as on the 2.09 rom (as well as on custom roms based on these roms)
(BTW I have cookiemonsters home tab installed)
Sorry about the "lukoj" i will remove that. If the bottom bar is old you have to uninstall it and install again. Then reset device. But wait until evening for cab without "lukoj" logo.

Thanks, I was looking for something like this a while ago. I achieved it by using separate elements, like the hd mini wallpaper set throughout manilla with m2dc, livven simplegloss themes & customizations and a black manilla theme called "[email protected] 2.6 look m2d skin". All of these already available here on xda. Great job, will give this one a try too
yeah, im using the livven simple glass theme with rounded buttons too, all this is, is just 3 images, a transparent topbar, a solid black slider bar and the wallpaper (renamed hh_ff_background.png) in a cab hardcoded to install into the /windows folder.
it only took 2 minutes to make and isnt really a full theme but it looks good. Well, I think so.
To anyone who cannot read:
this is a touchflo theme, just 3 (three,trois, drei, tres) images are in the cab. hh_fw_background, hh_fw_bg_fill and hh_fw_title No other themes were edited.
Uppy, can you post seperately the black slider bar? Could not extract from Cab file.......

Made a small adaptation to the theme......black slider and slider bar.....next challenge...make the slide bar transparent.....

Soft reset is when you press the power button a little longer and message says "do you want to shutdown your device".....push yes. And than push the power button again. Your device boots up. Voila a soft reset.
A soft reset allows the system file (in this case pictures) that is in use to be replaced, it also frees up ram from processes that may still be running from appilcations that have closed.
in short the small button under the stylus= restart?

What about MaxTTM? Been around for ages (on the HD Themes forum), but it's just as good now as the day it was invented, and I continue to use it for all my transparency needs along with current mods like CHT without any issue at all. It's fab honest - give it a go (it looks daunting at first, but becomes second nature and I use it with ease when flashing a new rom about once a week). Once installed - INSTAL TO SD CARD, NOT DEVICE - open it, and select WM6.5 tab at bottom, then check all 3 boxes, TRefresh, Soft Reset and hey presto, transparent taskbar and softkey bar:

vut now cannot access the start menu/task manager etc on the top bar... how do I remove this cab and get top bar please?

I got all excited when i loaded the MaxTTM and done exactly what you said but the bars didnt go transparent ? the top bar went white and the bottom bar went grey? any further help would be gratefull

i have a better solution
I hate to chime in late here, but wisbar advance 4 does what you want with no configuring.
(its in beta right now, but worth a look trust me been using WB for over 4 years now)
OH and to do the changing of the wallpaper I use antworks auto wallpaper changer. not only does it do the wm6.5 wallpaper but the manila, and s2u2, and the lock screen as well. AND you can specify seperate folders for landscape and portrait AND there is a timed wallpaper change option.
TRUST ME
