Call Timer with prefix - General Questions and Answers

Dear all,
i´m facing the problem with free minutes in my program. I have 6000 minutes to T-Mobile and 200 minutes to Orange. The problem is, that each operator have different prefix T-Mobile 0903, 0904 etc. and Orange 0905, 0908 etc.
Does exist some program, in which i can set this prefixes and so watch minutes divided by operators?
Becasue programs i know count these free minutes together, so i dont know how much minutes i have free to each operator.
Thank you.
Marian

I could suggest any software, if you could briefly describe what is tue utility of "IDD prefixes" ...
There are many International call service providers in Hong Kong while their call rates are different. Normally, u just add "+" plus the country and city code behind the phone number in your contact for international calls. However, i may add "009" or "1666" or "1718" instead of the "+" sign. i find that cannot work in smartphone coz recently the Phoneplus for PPC phone can make that function.
e.g.
Normal case: + 86 10 8222 8234
i want: 009 86 10 8222 8234 or sometimes 1718 86 10 8222 8234
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
Me also tried to search this kind of software for a long time, but nothing of them seems to work on WM6 at the moment, can anyone please help?
I am using Mobiion MagiCall - very powerful and useful

WM6GSMUPDATE Bug

Hello, I am have upgraded my imate SP5m device to WM6.
I have also upgrade the radio to WM6GSMUPDATE.zip.
My country is Costa Rica (code +506).
I think there is a bug in the GSM radio or WM6.
All my contacts have the +506 prefix in their number, when somebody with number +506XXXXXXX call me the phone detects the phone number as XXXXXXX and then the contact information cannot be found.
Is there something that I can tweak to fix this?
I didn't have this problem on WM5.
Regards,
Oscar

Another one from CR
Ocalvo, I'm in Costa Rica too, I sell and distribute HTC in CR. I have several customers that have the exact same problem, some of them have the +506 so when they are out of the country they can use international roaming or a sim from another carrier. People in other countries are also suffering from this, but if they never travel internationally, probably they won't even notice.
I haven't been able to fix the problem for months, been posting on every forum I can find, still no results.
Here is what I can contribute, the problem never happens on WM5, but it is not always present on WM6. We have a couple of models that have WM6 and dont have this problem, like the P3600 and the S630.
Our best selling phone has this problem and we haven't been able to solve it. All SMS come with the +506 attached to the beginning so it does not ID any messages, same happens with calls.
I have even flashed a P4350 that worked fine with WM5 and does not work with WM6, but I have an HTC S630 with WM6 that works perfectly. Barajeme eso!!!!
Well, I will continue to research this problem...

Beeche
SOLVED
Ocalvo,
Modify the registry like this:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\CallIDMatch and
hklm\security\phone\PBLookupMinPhoneNumberLength
change the value from 8 to 7 for Costa Rica
See, we have seven numbers to match before the International dailing code.
That will solve the problem, if you have any questions call me at the # that you have in your PM.
Regards,
Beeche
Thanks Beeche

Wow this is awesome - I've always wanted something like this!
Does it just use the web lookup (whitepages for the US), or does it somehow access the same information that a hardware landline caller ID uses?

[APP] TrueCaller - Caller ID

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that TrueCaller is now working on the HD2 as well. It is a free application in most countries, although it costs a one time fee of 6.99$ in the US, Canada, Sweden and Denmark.
TrueCaller lets you know who is calling when you recieve calls from numbers not in your phonebook.
In addition you can tweet your calls and now also update your whole phonebook with missing address information.
Please let us know if there are ways you think we could imrpove the application or read more about it on www.truecaller.com!

Shame it can not be supported in the UK - due to UK Laws on reverse call lookup.

Really? Amazing. I would like to know any reason why they forbid this. Someone has the right to call you, the right to disturb you, but you have no right to know who, based on his number???
nice idea
but unfornately I can't choose a country. seems to be combobox isn't resized or because of German ROM it searches in wrong Directory?
Btw: which key do you scan in Registry to identify Roaming?
keep up your great work!

Hello!
Can you please post a printscreen of your problem? I can reproduce it.. :/
Using c# i can determine the roaming status by calling the bool SystemState.PhoneRoaming
Thank you for the support!

Yeah, it's really strange... maybe we can add business listings in the application later if that would be interesting?
Installs and runs fine here, netherlands but on WWE rom. But unfortunately it doesn't seem to look up the few numbers I've tried. Perhaps also a law issue here...
Finally I got it working, I connected to 3G and it worked.
Although for Portugal I'm only getting descriptions for restaurant numbers. Probably personal numbers are not allowed.
Looks nice but why does it cost 6.99$ in Sweden and a few other countries when it's free everywhere else?

Oh - I've forgot - in C# you don't need a Mask - because I wasn't sure if Roaming is always detected. All ok!
Also for the settings! Now it works - also for choosing the country it's necessary to activate Data-Connection. Perhaps you should note this in Post #1
Now it works! - could I tell you some little issues?
The special signs - e.g. ü ö ä in Germany are to see as HTML-Code like &uuml, &ouml ... (otherwise GoogleMaps can't find the most of the locations)
And 3 Translations (otherwise really good translated! ) :
In the settings not "Autostartanfrage" - better "automatischer Start"
And in the search mask one Button still shows "Update contacts" instead of "Aktualisiere Kontakte"
and in Menu not "Ausgang" - better "Beenden"
But hey man - great job! Thank you!
Micha

Hey guys!
New version 1.21 out now that fixes a few bugs with the update phonebook feature as well as some stability issues.
Hope you like it!
Is this tool now working with release 1.21?
cheers,

Love the app, but is the info supposed to "flicker" ? Seems like there is an "ON TOP" war going on

O2 (UK) Minutes, Data, Texts widget?

I am considering creating a widget for any Android phone (incl. 1.0, maybe from 1.5 up, I'm unsure atm) that sends a text to 20202 and then feeds back with the answer.
For O2 users on PAYG (and possibly contract), if you wish to see your Minutes, Data and Texts allowance, you can send a text with any message (I usually put Balance, just incase!) to 20202 and they will reply with your remainding Minutes, MB and Texts.
I was thinking - a simple widget on the homepage, works just like CheckBalance (which calls your provider's balance checker - for example, if you were on O2, it would call *#10# and your balance would appear on the screen (mine's usually £0.01 hah)) and even APNdroid - you would click the widget and it would send that text to 20202 and then grab the texts and even possibly delete that text-thread, so your threads will only have your friends or whatever in the threadslist.
I'm looking into it and I wanted to know if anyone thought this would be a good idea? If it works and there are numbers for other providers, I would happily make the app for ALL providers (starting with the UK and then going Global).
So, would this be a good app and would you use it?
As another O2 UK user, I've been hoping something like this would come along for a long time, so yes, this is a good idea in my books
+1
I've been waiting for something like this.
Yes please! Another O2 customer here who would love something like that.
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
With the disgraceful level of support O2 are giving the Android I have no doubt that at some point they will join here to ask you to do it for them too.
My HTC desire may well end up back in their store since it refuses to do MMS for some reason.
I have looked into the source code and HelloWorld tuts on the Android site and I can see this taking a long time for me to understand this crap. I've looked at App Inventor but like everyone else, I haven't had a response.
I also wish to ask anyone if they could help with this? I've asked Martin Adamek (creator of APNdroid) because APNdroid is so similar to what this app would be like. I've looked at his source and I can't understand it! APNdroid is a widget which then does something and this would be a widget that does something too.
I've also asked the creator of CheckBalance as that is much closer than APNdroid, but his source hasn't been shared/released. CheckBalance, of course, dials the number to check your balance (O2 = *#10#) and it tells you in the press of one button, which is very similar to sending a text and getting the feedback.
I'm still looking into this and ANY help will be appreciated.
At first, I will only be doing this for O2 but I will DEFINITELY include other providers, if/when this gets going!
