Does anyone know of a 3rd party software function which will allow my Magician(or any wm device) to receive wireless pages? Thanks in advance for any help
The hw6945 seems like a pretty interesting phone, but the fact that it doesn't have voice dialing pretty well cancels it for me. BUT as with the HTC phones I've had in the past, they use Cyberon's Voice Dialer (use voice tags associated with contact's numbers) which I prefer with almost 500 contacts ( M$ programs can't handle the variations in contacts I have and Cyberon works GREAT with HTC). The HTC devices have all been WM5 as is the hw6945. There are several Cyberon CABs floating around on this site, has anyone had any luck with installing Cyberon on HP IPAQ hw series phone? Thanks for your input!
Found A Cyperon CAB that worked!
Can't believe no one answered this, BUT I did get a Cyberon cab file that worked! Searched several evenings, tried 2 today and got lucky with the 2nd one. The hw6925 now works just like my 8525 and P3600!
Hi all, I found that there is a problem for calling the 3rd parties SIP. The non-default SIP can be called after reset but it can't be used after some usages. Any idea on this?
The default SIP is showed when I choose the 3rd parties SIPs.
i found the same problem on my hermes tmobile running wm5. please let us know by posting here if you found anything new

I just got a Touch Cruise this weekend and love it so far.
But I find that I would really like to get 2 things for it:
1. a better keyboard. I know there is a learning curve, but I am not sold on any of the keyboards that came with the device. I heard there is a freeware keyboard that is much better. Anyone know of it?
2. is there an application like google maps or google mail that you all use to track stocks and see how your portfolios are doing? Something like this would make the device even more useful.
thanks,
Try out this keyboard: It's a little bit bigger than the standard one. I use it and it works great.
pocketcm keyboard
Google Maps can be found here: Google Maps Mobile v2.0.1.17
for the second one you can search for google2go... it's a hotlink collection for the IE. It launches as a normall app, and does include the mobile google finance
PocketCM keyboard is great. a lot of good skins for it too.
For a maps program Windows Live Search Mobile is by far the best. Seriously one of the best apps from Microsoft and it's for free. It includes movie times, gas prices, maps with gps, speech recognition for addresses and business locations. I think it's only available in the US & UK though, so really depends on where you're at.
As for stocks I use Pocket StockCenter. You can setup your portfolio, number of shares for each symbol, amount paid, etc.
or you could try Vitos' Zoomboard which is quite good
While I agree PCM is a great keyboard, I have been using TouchPAL and have been happier.

I just installed PocketCM keyboard but my Polaris continues to use the Old Keyboard. When I select PocketPC keyboard and then options, it says PocketPC keyboard must be the SIP inorder to Configure it.
What is SIP and how do I get the PocketCM keyboard to work?
I've seen that as a bug sometimes, when you hit the small arrow by the keyboard icon and select PocketCM and it gives you that standard keyboard with the really small keys. Try resetting and selecting the pocket CM keyboard. Then you should be able to go into options and modify it.
Also search for SIP changer, there are tons of threads and the file is floating around. Allows you to set the default SIP on startup.
By the way SIP is "soft input panel" or something like that, it's basically the app that pops up that allows you to input characters whether it be the default HTC ones, default Windows ones, or something like PocketCM.

Hi,
Does anyone know of an app that will turn the windows contact manager into a series of buttons like the application menu.
It is still very fiddly looking through the contact list.
regards
Lee
I know what you mean. It's very difficult to select a contact because the font size is really small.
I don't know of any fixes but WM 6.5 will sort this out as it is made to be more finger friendly.
The WM 6.5 update is released in early October.
Man.
I dont really want to re flash my device with 6.5 TBH.
I was just hoping one of the developers on here had already done it. Or perhaps a recomendation of a 3rd party contact manager that does it.
I had a basic touchflow on my orbit 2 and that showed your favorite contacts as buttons. I found that really usefull.

Well - as for 3rd party software i think noone does it as good as SPB Mobile shell. although it completely alters your screen - no tabs etc etc

Look for SPB Mobile Shell - they have a tutorial video you can see before deciding.
