Hi,
Am I the only one that doesn't get an animation with TaskFacade 4?
I tried changing the animation frame number but no luck.
Is there something wrong with the software or perhaps did it rely on CPU cycles to redraw the animation rendering it invisible on the Snapdragon ?
did you soft reset after install?
Yeah, I still get no animations though
me neither, and thats a good thing, even on the fast Acer s200 they are just a tad too slow for my taste.
I have the same issue, do you know other program instead of Taskfacade?

Why have you started a thread for this? there is a taskfacade 4 thread where i presume you downloaded taskfacsard.
is it not sensible to post in there and not pollute with this useless thread?

have you install framework package before?
I have the same issue: No animation... I think, it's because the HD2 is too fast. The animation is there, but it's over far too quickly to be seen. Just a guess...
Same isue, nobody knows???
Yippie! I found a solution! Installing Chainfire's driver patch, the animation is visible!
EDIT: NOOO!!! After soft-resetting, the animation is gone again! I'm not even sure the above mentioned patch even was the cause for the previous working of the animation... Maybe it was something different I did - but I can't remember anything!

My ATT Fuze does not have the animation when switching from tabs to tabs.
If you see here:
http://www.htc.com/www/product/touchpro/touchflo-3d.html
when it moves from one tab to the next, the screen falls back as if changing pages. Mine doesnt do that. Also, on the email page, mine doesnt hide the emails down or up, they just appear, no animation.
I swear, sometimes (most of the times) att just takes the phone out of everything.
HTC have taken this out in later builds to increase the speed when switching tabs in later roms.
I would be interested in enabling this to - should be possible if someone has the origional manila files.
Kris
I think the email bit works.. the down up works if you have more than one email accounts.. when you switch between two accounts the envelope rotates..
I am not sure if thats what you were referring to..
I think the animation is a bit different.. it was never the implementation.. I haven't seen any HTC touch Pro behaving like that..
Even when you see the demo video inside your TP, you'll notice they didn't have the animation the way it appears on the website.. I guess Sales People always show it off more than they can deliver IMHO..

your absolutely right, ATT definitely messed up the interface with their lameness, as usual...
There are skins on this forum, if you search around, that will provide you with those animations. Like others have said, they arent always 100%, they do make the phone feel laggier and sluggish. Also i havent found a skin that
has a working media library for the music tab.... But im sure someone will eventually make something that works good on the Fuze
Thanks for the replies. And when I said "phone", I was actually being a smart ass to say "fun", you know phonetics.
I will check with my friends Sprint version and see if it has it.

Where can I find this demo video? It played once when I was configuring my TP, but I was away and didn't notice it until the very end. Thanks!
you can find if in the \Content\Video folder
it's called Touch_Pro_GettingStarted
Regards,
Kris
Ya that definitely is better than how it is currently. I wouldnt mind if it was a setting in TF3D that we could turn on on and off.
Fade effect = tight lol

can you upload the video? i dont have it
Perhaps this could be incorporated into the new roms or even have the option in TF3D config
I know that there are some wallpaper animations out there, I would like to thanks developers for their hard work.
However
all the animated wallpapers have things dropping.
it will be nice if there is more to it, like sony psp lines animation, or some of andriod type wallpapers.
and my idea is to have some sort of liquid in the background that respond to accelerometer moment.

As of yet, no-one has actually made a custom animation. The ones that come on the device are a bunch of PNG files and a script that controls them. The custom ones you've seen have basically been copies of them, but with different PNG files. No-one has actually made a custom animated wallpaper yet, which is why they all look the same.
Until someone figures out how they actually work, we're stuck with that I'm afraid.

thanks for the clarification.
So is there anyone planning to hack this, or have pointers how to
I spent some time building this Diamond 2 custom animation and I hope you like it. Just install the cab (it installs automatically into the internal memory) and perform a reboot... than enjoy the new look of your booting sequence.
Please report here if the animation flows to fast or too slow, if needed I will readapt the speed. The animated gif attached in this post is faster than the actual gif contained in the cab file.
Works perfectly looks a lot better than the original.
RESPECT!!!!!!
Nice
Thanks mate
Can be it uninstalled if you want?
Remove..
Yes, just remove the CAB file in Add/Remove Programs list and soft-reset..
Works fine and looks great! Thanks
does this animation do the actual testing of the boot parameters or just dummy?
Well, it's just dummy Windows Mobile doesn't have a real-time bootloader with dynamic text displaying. This is just an animation to make the impression of a bios bootloader. However, the text content corresponds with Diamond2 hardware, to make the animation somehow more credible.
Absolutely amazing.
Congratulations Optyqus!
thanks, it works, and also in diamond1
I made also some animation, next time i'll try make better one
BTW What is max of size of image?
EDIT: If anyone can tell me the animation it works, because temporary I do not have a phone.
Reverse the animation

It's wonderful... but what if you reverse the animation... like a great amount of small pieces joining to form the words?
Just an ideia

Hello, I do appreciate your topaz/leo startup BIOS-style... any chance you'd make one for TD2 older brother, that is Diamond (DIAM100)?

Not to step on any toes but....
Hope this helps.
**Edit** I had a registry error in this file so it may not have worked. I have uploaded the fixed version.
That file is the reversed animation with auto installer, right?
Thanks Bruce.. you are always there...

Should work but I didn't test.
I did notice the implosion animation is significantly larger than the Bios animation.

There are some Registry keys that control that:
HTC ANIMATION:
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation :
StartupGif - \Windows\animated.gif
StartupWav - \Windows\***.wav
SPLASH SCREEN:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Splash Screen :
CarriereBitmap - \windows\welcomehead**.png
MSBitmap - \windows\welcomehead**.png
Go to your Registry, check if this ones are the ones you have. If so, check the filenames and path.
There you have the files and path used by your phone. Copy the new files to the path with the same name (Overwrite) or change the registry setting to new files. Get it?

i wonder why there is no one who could make the android US´s smooth !!!
why is the app drawer on lg optimus speed so much smoother than on sensation ??
there must be a trick ... a hint .. something .... something to adjust the framerate of the animation ??!!! something like that ??
in windows mobile it was the registry !!!! there must be a way to give the animations of sense more frames !!!!
dont you think ??? couse i dont think its the power of the phone thats limiting the animation speed !!!

use a different launcher... adw/launcherpro/etc...
The "circle" unlock screen should still be there with another launcher.. but I suppose you lose the Sense widgets etc. are the quick settings pulldown etc still there with a custom launcher?
The app drawer animation only has 3 frames from what I can see. It's not lagging as it's the same every time. I think it's actually been designed to jump to 90% then 95% then 100% of the screen.
...and when it goes down it scrolls down, then goes full screen again, then scrolls down to the bottom again. Weird!!
i promise you will notive a difference when phone is rooted and overclocked to max
I found a nice animated gif on reddit that I thought would make a cool fullscreen boot animation for the N5.
So, I contacted the guy who made the gif, and asked him to make some 1920 resolution individual frames for it.
Today I got a reply from him with an album of all the individual frames re-rendered in high 1920 resolution.
Here it is: http://imgur.com/gallery/ALyzv
can someone please take these frames (there is also a gif on the front of the album for reference of what it looks like animated), crop them if needed, and make them into a nice smooth boot animation zip please?
I know how to copy it in and do the permissions manually, I just need the zip file with the right frame timing etc
The guy responsible for the frames/render asked me to link his tumblr as credit: http://admiralpotato.tumblr.com/
Thanks XDA
Try this one first, if it doesn't work, give this one a shot. the first one I set the FPS to 0 in hopes that it would just run through it smoothly. The second, the FPS is set to 30.

Thanks, that's a great start, however the framerate really isn't working properly.
The first ~5? seconds of the boot it will stutter along at, I dunno, 2-3 FPS, after that it becomes smooth as it's supposed to be. Same case with both files.
More specifically: the first time it plays through the files (24 frames) it goes really slowly, as though it's loading each one one by one very unsmoothly. After that the animation is smooth. Any way to fix this?

It might be because of the high file size of each frame. Let me see if I can do anything about that.
Since the images really take up all 1080x1920 pixels, it's hard to get the file size down. This is pretty much the best I could get.

I brought the animation size down to ~3.3MB and there still seems to be a rough beginning, but I think the animation looks great regardless. Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49106124

I already made an animation that's scaled properly, I'm not home right now and it's in my laptop so I'll post it later on today. I didn't use the images in the first animation, instead I cropped the images in half and used the left side of the image. It still looks great.

great job, the filesize is very impress, but... seems there was a problem when you were doing batch crop on the images, because they're all completely off-centre... getting so close to perfect, i know you can do it!
