[REQ] 4X4 home grid - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

... not interferring with the wallpaper?
Does anybody know if it exists?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it exists:

22. Change Your Quicklinks from 9 to 16 Slots
Amazing tweak. Now have a 4 x 4 grid of quicklinks instead of a 3 x 3 grid. Install cab at bottom of post and reset. Please note you can only use the default black weather wallpaper when using the cab and also contacts photos will not show. If you will only use your quicklinks for apps and don't mind the black wallpaper, go ahead.

Yep! I know it.
I was asking... "not interferring with wallpaper".
Anyway thank you.

Hmm... I installed this, and it made all my text look poop!
I guess I'll remove it until something better comes along.

it exists..............

Strange it is listed as screwing up the background. I just installed it and it works fine, text on the today screen is a bit too thinned out.

WOW!!! Where did you get it?
Thank you for the link!

i've installed the "Vovichek&Jamrecords_16Shortcuts" CAB in this post...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583638
but you need to use an animated wallpaper and it will work... contacts pictures still don't work though.

Found!
I searched the Forum and I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4963578&postcount=145
(the one with 20 shortcuts)
It's nice and everything is working (also contacts shortcuts)!
Try it!

confirmed, it works!! you'll even get 5 shortcuts per row!!!

If you want to do more then only 4x4 grid. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551489. You can tweak a lot more

Don't see how it can be slower. The files I've replaced are the same file sizes as the stock. So it shouldn't be using more resources. I've not notice a performance hit on my device. Anyone else with performance issues?

First, thanks for trying out my theme. Here's the problem with your request. The little icons i made for the home tab (phone, calendar, and alarm) were actually all in one particular manila file. This manila file unfortunately also contains pieces of the digital clock. So, it's all or nothing.
Since I thought the transparent clock is more popular, I decided to go with that. If more people raise this issue, then I'll make a version with the stock clock.

+1 for stock clock.
Love the theme, but the stock clock style is more visible in bright sunlight.
Alright, guys. I'll make one with the original clock in the next release.

Thanks for the reply, I'm actually using CM 5.0.6 test 1 -- I wasn't referring to the app drawer in the video (I already have that and love it!) Was just referring the small icons on the home screen. I think nDrg was right, it could be "More Icons" --- not nearly as slick as I hoped
I was looking at it, and it cannot be more icons widget because that widget offers you 2 lines of icons smaller, but on the video you get 1 line with 8 icons.
Any idea?
you can add icons to just one row...its not that hard.

i have the 5 columns in the scrollable menu, but it won't turn 180 on rotation, either in the scrollable menu, or on home screens.
any help?

yup, its definitely 100% more icons widget. mine looks exactly the same and has for a long time. Beware, they are hard to tap accurately.

Full screen image frame??

Hi,
been searching a couple of hours now and can only find apps like 'Photo Frame Deluxe' (ie. paid apps from the US Market). I don't live in the US and have Android on my HD2 so it's not native, therefore I cannot get this app (I don't get how to install market enabler). Anyone know a good widget (prefferably simple) that simply fills out my 800x480px screen in one of the home screens with one image?
I have this awesome background, though I want an image on one of the homescreens alone, and that's not possible of course, without it being a widget.
Going mad here. Is it perhaps simple to create an app like that? Can it be semi-transparent? Can it be without a background, so that the image decides the images transparency? Hmm..
If anyone makes an app like this maybe I'll even be willing to make a donation for it (after next wednesday when my paycheck appears, and the app will not have to be made until that, of course)
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but have a look at Big Photo Frame Widget v1.0

You can resize it with LauncherPro. I just started using it (cool app, thanks) and re-sized it to only 3 rows, rather than 4.

[Q] SE Xperia Arc Launcher For Galaxy Tab

Can someone port SE Xperia Arc Launcher for galaxy tab?
I really like this launcher and it's animations are great, but I have some problem with it which you can see in the pictures.
It would be great if someone could do it.
Have you changed your lcd density? And did youvdownload thevright one for our screen size? There are a lot of different versions out there and one that fits perfectly. It seems like youve picked the wrong one.
| Don't Revive Me Bro! |
I didn't know there are different versions, I'll look for it.
About lcd density, no, I haven't changed it.
Yeah, last time i checked there were at least 50 different versions for different screen sizes and different mods.
| Don't Revive Me Bro! |
These are the sizes that I found:
(960x540), (480x854), (480x800), (480x640), (320x480), (240x320).
The best one is (960x540) and as you can see in the pictures its really close but not perfectly.
you may try this
i mod this for my tab, it may work for you.

Works great on stock dpi. One minor thing is the icons in the app tray is not centered perfectly, its shifted a bit to the left. Another great tweak would be to mod it so that it can be 5x5 columns and rows in desktop. But all in all, runs smooth!
Thakns to pimuser for uploading the launcher which works great on GT.
Like Vorpal said, the icons in the app tray are not centered perfectly,
I'm working on that, but for now because the laucher has just
3 homescreens I made two more with 5 and 7 homescreens.

Thanks sohrab1985 for undertaking the task to making this launcher run more perfectly. Hope you manage to fix any slight problems (centering) and keep us updated!
Xperia Arc Launcher
Here is another one.
5x5 Apptray.
5 Homescreens.
Everyrhing works great except one thing.
As you can see in the picture No.3, When you drag one app from apptray to
your homescreen, it takes the room of two icons instead of one.
I can fix that but when I do, some other widgets don't work properly.
Of course you can put the apps in a folder in your homescreens, they work fine.
Does anyone know what would be the problem?

..................
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I found two solutions for the problem in the last version:
1. Instead of draging apps from apptray into your homescreens, make a shortcut.
2. when you drag one app or more from apptray into your homescreens, put them in a folder and then take them out to your home screen again.
In both of these ways apps take just the room of one icon, not two.
I love this launcher =)
Thank you for this, it's working fine and is very fast, any way to make it work in landscape?

Can you not just save the file and convert to jpg if required?
Exactly. Just download the pic and put it into your phone. Choose the file in your wallpapers settings and you are done. An icon is just a smaller version of a picture, it's not any different from a normal wallpaper file.
But I'm afraid that there will be a lot of pixel
up
not sure what the problem is. Download the image. Its already in png format(which is good since it supports transparency, and is optimal for icons)
Then use a launcher like apex or nova to change the icon of your desired app to the one you downloaded. Also its 96x96 pixels so nothing needs to be resized.

It is physically impossible to stretch this small image without it ending up being distorted by the small number of original pixels in the picture. I am sorry, but you are going to have to use an image like this:

You can't open the link because I put some "spaces" in there so I could post it here. xda does not allow new members to post outside links, only if they have over 10 posts on the forums. so just copy the link and look for the 2 or 3 spaces I put in there, delete them and look at the picture, because I think I found something really close to what you are looking for!
And there is no software that manages to do that. There is a feature on Photoshop or similar software that I know of that is able to reduce pixelation although it is not as good as you might think and it definitely can't make a small picture like this into a usable wallpaper...
Yes I forgot a space ! It's closed but not the same. Thank you for your help
