i m zeeshan from islamabad PAKISTAN. i am facing very confusing problem with my htc tornado noble that i update it to windows mobile 6 from xda developers.com and use tera term pro for format device but i write command of format BINFS as format ALL through which my whole device data is formatted including bootloader and then the device is not turn on like before but when push ON button only red light appear on charging light place for 10 seconds ............ so sir please solve my problem.. i have htc tornado noble (imate sp5) , plz solve my problem. i also discuss earlier with south east asia htc inquiry but hey tell to contact with UAE htc inquiry.
ihave imate sp5 which is actually htc tornado because according to my information htc is manufacturer of tornado and imate is a seller of these mobiles when i open imate website its undercostruction and ther is no any office or service center in pakistan of imate as well as htc please sir solve my problem, if this problem is due to only record bootloader in it then tell me links for download this and also other useful links like imate oofical inquiry id and websites. my imate sp5 (htc tornado) looks like the pics which i upload thankyou

I see there is an Upgrade for the ROM/OS for the Magician which I understand should solve my SDIO Wifi card lockups ( Bios Upgrade needed) I see by the Post (UPDATE 2 - Fixes) Rom Wwe 2.03 For Htc Magician (jam) that it looks very straightforward. As I am very attached to this MDA Compact I cant afford for it to go down . Can u advise whether I can use the above 'Upgrade' with the MDA Compact which I understand is the same phone as the Magician?

oi mate it does work i tryed it on my mda
but i dont know about thw wifi thing i havent tryed that
it works..
i am using it on my o2 mini, sandisk wlan card..802.11+256 mb storage..it works good..drivers are on sandisk website...
MDA Compact Rom Upgrade
Thanks for feedback on this matter. Whats the info about BIG Storage? Is there improved memory available on this upgrade? Anyone had any bugs or problems since the Upgrade? Certain comments have been about a 'Hard Reset' before adding the extra updates? Any tips on a successful Upgrade? Probably gonna have a stiff Brandy before carrying it out!
i have htc magician and i tried to instal windows 6 but when i want to enter in bootloader the screen goes black ,he disconnects and its showing Serial/Usb V1.00 ... what should i do?i have windows mobile 2003... and I really want to have w6 help please

With all due respect for all previous posts i found an WM5 Rom for MDA compact, which in the best case scenario will work on i-mate Jam / Magician...
so here is the link to the ROM
in case any body try it on i-mate jam / magician report in please as soon as possible
and if it's not to work please state why in a scientific way

doesnt work for me:
"Error 120: Country ID Error

My MDA is from germany! is that the problem?
its a normal wm2003 rom:

that is a wm2003se rom wrongly mentioned by t-mobile as wm5
its their mistake.

I tried to download custom update utility(modified ROM) so that I can rectify my network problem in my mobile HTC touch cruise.But found that xda link has torjan virus.Is there any other link or xda-developer can help me with some else option.

If the virus is in CustomRUU.exe , just ignore it.
There is no virus in that file, but some virus programs seems to think so.
Why don't you try upgrade to official 6.1 WWE ROM first?

Hi Guys
I was wondering if someone could please help me,
i have a SPV m5000 and after installing wrong rom and bricking the phone I then bought a second hand one with damaged screen and told was working ok just damed screen which was unlocked on O2 and I swoped the motherboards over so I now have an O2 motherboard in a orange M5000 phone.
It's working a ok except it shuts down when the battery seems to be half empty and it happens with both my batterys, so I am hopeing it's a bug in the OS and not the phone it's self, so I guess one way to find out is change the rom, I am looking for the most newest and stable rom with instructions on how to install as I am not that up on flashing roms on phones which is clearly obvious .
my phones about page lists my phone as follows,
Windows mobile 6.1 professional
CE OS 5.2.21028 (Build 21028.1.6.0 TML)
processor PXA270-520MHz
memory 48.37 mb
I am using this on Orange network but the phones boot screen says O2 when booting, and could someone tell me if the rom for O2 XDA is the same rom as rom for Orange XDA?
If any one would be so kind as to point out the exact rom link I need I would be eternally grateful.
