WM6.5 Today screen cleartype - General Questions and Answers

Is it possible to JUST enable cleartype on the WM6.5 today screen? Just like IE has its own cleartype setting separate from the entire device's cleartype setting.

Any guesses?

Pretty sure not applicable as the .cpr holds the font/colour etc of homescreen...

Landscape/Portrait Screen When Sliding Out Keyboard

Is there any way to disable the automatic "revert" to portrait after sliding back the keyboard? I would like to stay in Landscape all the time.
There is a today screen plugin that offers this...of course the name escapes me. I do know that the Diamond 19588 ROM has this feature built in however, so if you are desperate to have this feature, than you can go that route.

I just encountered same problem, also with broken menus.
If you have backups, restore them. Helped for me. If not, hard reset.
It seems that we both have made something that caused same problem... Have you used Advanced Config or Diamond TF3D Config?
I believe that this was discussed in the raphael tweaks thread.
If i remember rightly, it was caused by turning cleartype on in landscape mode.
Yeah, I had the same problem when I used de DiamondTweak 0,5 app when turning on the cleartype in landscape tweak, when I removed the tweak prolems were gone.

Gyrator2 (app) and TouchFlo3D: possible to disable landscape switching?

By default, Gyrator disables Manila/TouchFlo3D, but long story short, I hang my phone upside by the lanyard attachment near a window to get better reception. Thus, I have enabled orientation switching for TouchFlo. However, the TF3D UI is messed up (the tabs portion of it) when in landscape and reverse-landscape orientation. Maybe I have not explored the options/settings fully, but is it possible to disable specific orientation but allow other orientations (in this case, disable landscape, but allow allow reverse portrait) for a particular program?
Thanks.
If i understand the question correctly, you only need gyrator to switch between 2 orientations? In that case if you look at the orientation tab when you edit the event, you can uncheck specific orientations. For instance, if i wanted tomtom to only switch between default portrait and reverse landscape, i would add a new rule with tomtom as the application focus. Then i would move to the next tab (orientation) and check only portait and reverse landscape. Then I would check Rotate Screen in the events tab and apply. That will limit tomtom's rotation (or any other app) to only rotate when the phone is turned in one of the two orientations.
I hope that wasn't too confusing i almost got lost typing it. =)
I read the question again. You can just check portrait and reverse portrait and leave landscape/reverse landscape unchecked for the touchflo rule.
thanks!
lacrossev, thanks for the detailed walkthough. You (and I) forgot about checking "orientation" in the popup menu when long-clicking the event as this was why my setting wasn't working.

get rid of menu when sliding open?

how can I get rid of that lame menu that is totally useless that opens when you slide the TP open? can we just change the icons to different programs?
great, question! i know if you upgrade to tf3d2 then it gets rid of it completely. i installed a cab (tlr-manila) that replaced my manila install with the original rom manila files, etc. that changed everything to links ie new email, new message, new task, new contact etc. Changed the icons too, but still had the screen there
I swear there is a tweak for that somewhere here. Try searching for "Diable Landscape Menu" or something like that. If I find it I will get back to you.
EDIT: Found this in the Raphael WIKI page under tweaks. You will need a program called total commander or Resco.
