Gsmart MW700 6.5 rom? - General Questions and Answers
I've just picked up a Gsmart MW700 and while a little underpowered i'd love to put winmo 6.5 final on it. I've searched high and low and found the mybestpds.com forum, but they have nothing there but a potential rom that might work but it's a 65. beta.
Anyone know if a 6.5 rom is available that would work on the MW700? Is there a generic one or does it need to be specific to the device (guessing specific). Would really appreciate any tips here.
I would like to know if such a rom exists. But I would be happy even with just a 6.1rom, just so I can have threaded messaging (so I can remove sms-chat to free up some precious memory). Otherwise, I love this phone. For the price I paid for it, it far surpass my expectation.
As we dedicate here only to HTC devices you won´t find too much attention.

I found this 6.5 rom for the MWG atom V:

It's practically the same phone as the Gsmart mw700, everything is identical other than a few different software...

Anyone would like to confirm if this would work on the gsmart? And if I do decide to be the guinea pig for this....the rom I found on mybestpda ( http://www.mybestpda.com/board/mw700-ms800-rom/mw700-rom-updates-official-t71.html ), would it be able to revert back if this rom does brick the phone??

installed the Wm6.5 roms for MWG atom V on Gigabyte gsmart MW700.. works fine no issues what so ever.. check all the functionality and is a good rom..
keep in mind to flash using only 64mb image files ..
REALLY?! I might have to give this a try...eventually...I've just got it working the way I liked it right now.
EDIT: Where did you get the Winmo6.5 rom from?? The one from my link is gone
did some research and found out this site.. its basically a thai site.. but register there to get the links ..u can basically try any of the atom v roms ..

BTW : i even tried WM6.1 ..on my MW700 .. lucky me ..

Hi, I have MW700 with WM6 Pro, how can I update the OS to WM6.5 ?
I haven't done it myself, but if you search up 6.5 roms for the Atom V, you can load those roms for the mw700. Seems to be working for masterg0g0.

I have o2 atom exec. How do i find it is a G3 or G4 Device. I am trying to flash wm6 rom , htc rom etc since 2 months but i am not able to do anything in my phone. Somebody please help me i am bugged trying everthing someone please help me yaar. Is there any possiblility to upgrade my device to windows mobile.

Hi For beginning, download the new Tomal v8.2 ROM and simply run the application. It has its own manual. You have to only synchronize your ppc with your desk computer before running that application. For other upgrading things use "universal RUU" from the ftp site. There are many readme files for doing that too. Best radio version is 1.15 Extended ROM must be configurable for yourself so study more before changing that. Until now I have seen that Tomal's work is the best...

Hi Nosker I have a small problem with rom of Shifu : WM6.5 WWE ROM shifu 2.1|CHome edition [21857] this is a best rom ever , but when device lose a Internet setup ( small icon on today screen BIG E ) , all sounds : on player, call etc. pinch rising up...I ask Shifu about information , but He dont have a time.... any advice ?

Hi, I'm still using 6.1 rom on my Pharos. The reason for this is that the 6.5 roms I have tried have been too slow. So if you could manage a really fast 6.5 rom with m2d i'd be very grateful!

[Q] NEED HELP... Videocon V2950 Upgrading???
Dear Experts I wish to upgrade my Videocon V2950 WM6.1 to WM6.5 but I found that there is no support available anywhere for it. Its a wqvga with 240*400 resolution and powered by Marvel 624 processor. One more thing although the manufacturer is a reputed company but this phone is done in China. You can find the phone specifications here: www(dot)videoconmobiles(dot)com/touch_phones/touch_V2950(dot)htm It is also budled with preinstalled SPB Mobile Shell. I invite all of you to cook WWE ROM for it in atleast 3-4 formats (.exe .nbh .nb0 .nb) The most important: Dont worry I am mentally prepared to brick my phone. Thanks in Advance. Note: Hey I found the same config China Phone named COOLMAX2G and China clone HTC T5353. I think the upgrade for them will also work on my phone too.
