Hello Guys,
im new to this forum and i like to read some threads here from timt 2 time.
And since i got my own pocket pc, i wondered if anybody could help me with a question.
The Windows Mobile Version of mine is a spanish one. And i would lik to have an english version of it. Is it somehow possible to install a language packet or to get another version of WM?
I hope you guys can help me with this. I know this isnt exactly a pocket-pc-forum, but maybe you know something.
Ill tried to search the web, but i got no result
Please help me, any answer would be very kind
Best regards
Just like Windows desktop OS's, you must reinstall the OS to change the language.
It's not an easy process if you are not familiar with your device. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a forum devoted to your device. You should find a lot of information there.
Hey N1c0_ds,
i thought i have to reinstall or flash a new rom/OS.
I can read as much as possible and i dont fear the work
And because im not very familiar with my pda, i think it will be some work to me....
Thanks for your advice... i guess you meant the Other "HTC manufactured phones" forums. Ill have a lokk at these
Hi everybody , do you know any software for WM phones which can send actual GPS locations via internet to my e-mail ?
I need that , because whed i loose my phone or theft are in the action i can from my home locate my phone .
Thanks very much for the solutions . Sorry for my english
Only thing I can think of is Adeona (linux, mac, xp/vista). It uses ip addresses so it's quite stealthy and the mac version can also take snapshots using isight.

Being OS one can only hope for a mobile version.
quote adeona site:
"We are exploring the possibility of Adeona for mobile devices, like the iPhone or Windows Mobile."
thanks , but i can only wait

realy thanks for these threads . I go to read
I placed a thread before here regarding this issue and i didnt get a feed back at all ., and since this forum is a discussion of wm., and HTC , ill ask a different question .
My HTC pro used as a modem with computer , computer hooked up to a router and the router to a devise communicate with other units on the net using UDP packets.
with HTC no go,at all with Motorola Q wm5. works great ., using pdanet to logg online, same set up ,one work other no.
didnt get help here or there, so i sent an email to HTC ., they replyed the following .
htc with wm 6.1 should work better than wm5.0., asked if i did soft and or hard reboot., i did both in the past few weeks , no luck.
then they say i need to send it for repair ....etc contact communication...etc
is that just the ending for all their letters ., repair .??, as far as i can tell the devise only a month old and works .internet phone ...etc
so do i need to go through all that , or waste of time and cash .
sincerely
where else do i need to go to ask a simple question like that ., the people run this forum .??, who are the few guys know stuff , please so if i may send them a pm.
suppose this is wm forums , and no one can tell how to setup 6.1 so it will work .
peace
Hi all,
Someone told me about this forum/site today, really a huge pile of knowlegde and resources!
A few months ago, someone offered me a HP Ipaq RX1950 (for free. Take it or put it in the trash...).
It had WM5 on it.
After some searching and the tip I got about this site today, I was able to get WM6.1 running, which I retrieved from this site.
My wireless network at home has WPA2 (TKIP+AES) security enabled (because it's the only safe thing for WiFi), but there's no WPA2 option in the dropdown box in my WM6.1 installation.
Any way to get WPA2 working?
Welcome to forums
I am not sure your device is build by HTC, as here we dedicate only to them.
Have a look here to find out if your device is made by HTC:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
Good luck,
I did not know you were only dedicated to HTC...
The WM6.1 version I was referring is located here btw.
Anyway: I think this is a general software thing, not a hardware related issue. So if any one is able to help, I would be grateful.
I've searched the Internet and this forum as best I know and I've been through all the FAQs that I can find and still can't answer my question. Hopefully someone will be able to help...
I'm trying to prevent the Vendor Initalization script from running after the phone (a Samsung Valencia, but I hope that WM settings are generic across devices) has been given a hard reset. Ideally I want to customise this script to put in my own settings i.e. GRPS, Proxy settings etc.
Any help much appreciated and I hope that's enough information to go on.
