Disable Lock-screen, wake-up on sms, enable button lock - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

These 3 things are buggin me, Anyone knows how to fix it?
1. Every time you turn on the phone, you have to unlock it.....
2. When getting an sms, the device wake-up....... (Tried the reg key but did not work)
3. Pressing anybutton makes to device go on..... I want to limit that to the on/off button (In settings there should be a option called device lock or button lock, HD2 doesn't have it....)

I just got an ideea, don.t know if it will work as i don.t have mine yet but try this: Try out Advanced System Configuration Tools, should work in wm 6.5 (as on my TP i used to have a 6.5 custom rom with this app abd worked) and you can find there ar SMS - wake up on new sms - select DISABLED / SOFT RESET, and see if it works (if the option to wake up on new sms is somehow activated from manila it won.t work, could be activated though by the lock screen - like s2u2 does, usually there is a reg entry for this but as you said it didn.t work)
Anyway when you have the time try it out with this app. My guess is that the lock screen causes this

This edit the reg key, did that already.
So this solution won't work.

How about if you try to find a reg entry for the lock-screen (is there anything like autolock - value1 ? ) I am running on blind suppositions here as i don.t have the device yet.
Anyway good job you are doing here xmoo!

they are little bugs of new manila. sms wake-up....if u disable it...sms notification won't arrive in real time.

Yeah but then again, the new builds work faster, less memory leaks etc etc.
That way we can make 100% use of our phone!

As regards the no wakeup on SMS bug - maybe disabling the "Display message on screen" option in Sounds and Notifications - Incoming text message would help?

Yeah, what the hell was that about???

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen:Enable 0
disables Lockscreen
Unfortunately you get the old style MS lock still

Has anyone tried XTrem Tweaks, it is a new tweaking app specially designed for wm 6.5 (so they say), but you can find there an option ,,Disable Autolock,,. Now i.m pretty sure it.s done via a registry modification ... still, someone could give it a try

This ROM has been flashed succesfully onto my CID & SIM locked G4 using SoftSPL.The nk.nbf file only contains OS and splash screens. No IPL/SPL. So it is G4 safe. HTC streaming app is not included. I have it and may include it in my next release.

I have looked into that issue and found that this is one bug of this rom. It does not crash the phone it just will not open smart dialing. send/recieving calls no issue.

You can try installing the "wizard retouched dialer" cab on top..it may be an issue with the touch dialer package in the rom as I just tried on the beta I'm testing with and was able to get into both smart dialing options and options under the dialer Menu button.

hmmm, the "wizard retouched dialer" is the package that i included in my rom, i had removed the dialer package that was in your kitchen. I'll try just installing the cab and see if that works. Thanks again Famewolf.
Update: Famewolf you were right, the package i used in the build must have been missing a file. Use the attached cab and it will fix the problem.

The "HTC Touch Dialer" in the kitchen is actually part of the Hermes port I did (I just moved it to OEM for those who wanted to remove it and use standard dialer..you can swap between the two by enabling or disabling the "phone skin" registry edit [an option in schaps advanced config]) so you'd do better to use that package as opposed to the older retouched one for your next build. 1) the registry setting that turns in a circle or a "C" when you are using the keyboard for 'all caps' or 'symbols'
2) a good freeware registry editor. Total Commander has one but it is klutzy.

As far as bluetooth problems go, I can't offically say that there are any. (i dont use it) Again this rom is built off of famewolf's slim rom so if there are any bugs/fixes in his rom they would be applicable to this rom as well.

I just flashed this and it looks awesome. Is there any way to change the soft keys on the home screen. I didn't see that ability anywhere as in prior roms. Myave its gone now. I used to like the HTC Action Screen as a soft key preset. All good though. Thanks!

Not the fastest but a pretty solid Rom. Customer feedback still came up and I am having some intermittent lags with the 3.56 SPL. Will try another SPL later and continue testing...

3G Support?
Data is quite slow and there is no 3G icon on the phone, nor is there an option to enable it in the Comm manager. Is it supported in this rom?

What is your location, 3G,Edge & HSPDA fine in UK, switches auto hence no com manager tab, no issues with speed either.

I am in the US Northeast. I love this rom except for the data speed. I especially like that is can stream viodeo straight off a website after flashing with no tweeking involved. The data is just really slow and I get no 3G icon like I normally do. I'm going to try a different radio next. Keep up the great work.

Try the 1.58 neon radio thats what i've found the best so far with all my previous roms

Thanks for another good ROM. So far so good again. Everything appears to work normal and at good operating speed. Plus some room left over for some add ons. I like to see that.

Ring Tones & 3G

sorry for this stupid question, how do I add ring tones ? Is there a way to turn on/off 3G ? No on/off 3G from the Com. Manager.As for others ROMs there is a folder for Ring Tones folder when sync with PC but this one has none. This is a great ROM, very fast speed. Great choice for Radio, I can get GPS signal within 2 mins, it's never happened before with other ROMs. Thank you very much for the ROM.

You can add the ring tone into Mydevice/Windows/Ring, you should be able to change your ring tone now via the phone settings. If it still doesn't show you can sometimes select the ring tone once its on your device, hold down on it and select use as ring tone. Great rom Yardie!!!

3G is automatic, it will switch if you are in a 3G area, same for edge and HSPDA.

S2U2 error
Hello,
is there a way to remove "s2u2"? I kept getting error "The file "s2u2" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file" everytime after a call. I cannot find the s2u2 on "remove programs".

It appears that I cannot get my TomTom6 to run on this ROM. Never had any problems with yours before or any others. After install when I try to run it to finish setup screen just goes black, does nothing. If i tap the screen it will close it and go back to programs... Any ideas??
Only thing I have noticed so far...

great rom!! been playin with it for about an hour so far, only found 1 minor measly little gripe. Im relatively new to all this, so i dont know if this is with the rom or the touchflo interface, but when im playing mp3s it doesnt autoupdate the song title/artist thats playing unless i cycle off the music tab and come back. Again im new, please dont flame me too much if this is a known issue, just its the only thing ive found that doesnt work perfect thanks so much for putting the time and effort into creating such a great rom for the tilt! keep up the good work

Thanks for the heads up. I had the same exact problem with Garmins new v4 and v4.1 manilla rom. At first I thought it was a manilla thing, but TomTom 6 on HDIII manilla roms works fine. I hope someone can find a fix or work around as I hate to have to upgrade inorder to run these roms.

If your talking about the "All Programs" softkey, you probably just need to add folderview.exe to the windows folder.
Here is a cab that will do just that.
If that's not what you meant then please just disregard.

Manila 2D is still beta and there are a few bugs for the crew working on it to sort out but that will come with time. Glad you like the rom!
I have sorted a couple of minor issues and will release a 4.1 hopefully this evening so check back.

Will have a look, have got a couple of ideas to try, check back this evening(UK) for 4.1 update.

very nice room only problems i have is seem like when you slide the screen out it has a long lag when it flips from portriat to landscape and vice versa.
only other problem is i cant seem to get my keyboard at&t function buttons correct without it causing a wierd view when typing basicly cut the lower half of the letter off

Not sure if its only me. The youtube player on the internet tab connect but whenever I try to play a video I just get an error. Anyone else have this problem. I tried my sim on a friends phone with the new hyperdragon III manila rom, because it is very similar. It worked normally. Any ideas??

TF3D on Toshiba TG01??

Hi all,
Ive had a touch Diamond for the last year now and I'm gonna upgrade to a Toshiba TG01, I've been told by Orange that I have to wait for a week while they are upgraded to WM6.5. I've had a little play with one in a shop but I'm not to keen on the line system they are using so I would like to know if its possible to put TF3D onto it? I have had a look around and used the search and found plenty of posts about the phone but I haven't found anything to do with TF3D. Using a Google search I found a video on Youtube of a guy who had TF3D on his and he says he got it from here but I cant find it!

you may find manilla 2d in the dev and hacking forum, but im not sure if it supports wvga. i havent heard of anything else

The author refers to 'touch-it_blackstone_manila_hd_ full'. As far as I know Touch-It is a rom or series of roms made for the Sony Ericsson X1, but you won't be able to flash an X1 rom to a TG01. Maybe this is what you're looking for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448178 ?

I can confirm that TF3D works on the TG01, But the music player doesnt work as I assume it need the HTC music player to be installed.

i suppose it should be able to run sense UI? has anyone tried? its having the same processor as htc hd2. just the ram was smaller.

It is possible to run Manila 2.1. Noone launched 2.5 yet.

As you can see on the video the music player does work with the HTC Music Player installed.
I've not tried Sense 2.5 but I hear it is very unreliable on both the install and running on the TG01.

That´s the Post...

i can install 2.5 if the sdkcert.cab is intalled before. but:
-the installation runs about 45 minutes!
-only the first time i activate sense it runs ok
-next time i tried to use the phone (1hour later) it runs extremly slow
-most apps doesnt work
-the battery runs out in a few hours, completly
-finally it hangs up on the htc calendar...
for me that sense 2.5 is no option^^

Ok, this is not the thread for my device, but i'm here to post my experience with htc sence 2.5 on my Omnia Pro B7610
First off all i tried sence 2.5 because manilla 1.3 by ginkage and chainfire is good and well done, but for me has some flaws...
then i jumped to 2.1... i think i found it on this thread (if not is nearby)
It was impossible to play with, even trying all those fixes and signed apps, not even with a hard reset it worked... It's major flaw for me is that is allways going off 4 or 5 seconds after loading (tap to start sence, then it starts, then 5 seconds without doing NOTHING, it goes off and restarts on the "tap screen")
i've managed to play some things like shutting all tabs off, leaving the home and settings on but it was a no go....
Ok... so after that, lets try someting else...
installed sdkcerts, audio fixes, net framework 3.5 and then sence 2.5 for wm 6.1...
At first it didn't do nothing. i realized it was net framework. and with netCFG i switched to 3.5... and there it was, it was on (it didn't even told me to tap on screen to start)
Working well, and incredibly fast and fluid, i think its more fluid than 1.3
It only shuts off when i change something on configs, or try to add contacts to favorites...
Ok, now the test...
as the other ones, i shut down at the beggining the tabs:
Internet
email
accoes (mine is portuguese) i think is stocks in english
fotos and video
music
weather
twitter
because they don't have a use for me right now and some (or maybe all of them) aren't working well
so the tabs i tested, and are being used by me right now:
I'll put the problems encountered down each one
Home
Well this one is the most stable tab, (and the prettiest )
clock animates well and goes to HTC clock app
it doesn't show my location and weather because i can´t add my town (it shuts when opening screen keyboard, tryed with phisical keyboard, but was a no go)
shortcuts can be put and work well (note that some lock as a white square icon, but when sence restarts they're all there and looking great (and functional)
calendar goes straight to calendar tab without any lag or problem
alarm goes to htc clock app without problem (didn't try to set)
the menu in the right corner shows these items:
wallpaper - don't work (allways dark wallpaper)
tab config - goes to tab configurator (works well and flawless)
remove shortcuts - works well
def. time and local date - works well (can't change local)
weather config - works well, but it's no use as i can't change localization
weather demo - this one is only for eye candy but its worth the try, it shows a demo of all 8 weather conditions, works well and at decent speed, just swipe up or down to change conditions.
contacts
well, this is one i'd love to get fixed, but for now only the "more" option in the left corner works:
can show all contacts, and all made, missed calls...
but tapping them doesn't do nothing...
tapping a contact gives all the details of messages and calls made by it...
messages
this one is more smooth swiping the messages up and down (love it)
touching the create message, it will go to windows message client...
tapping the message that is being viewed goes to the HTC message client, showing the messages sent (like the contacts tab, its no use trying to answer within the HTC message client) better using it for viewing and then going to the windows one for answering...
calendar
work smooth, day, week and month works well (for viewing)
by year tab, it shows white squares as months (is there a fix for this? )
tapping new compromise (i don't know the english version name ) does nothing)
like the others (only for viewing...)
ok now the config tab
this one is tricky because most of the tabs in there needs a certified component...
personalization works but it shows with an white icon
wapapers work at chosing, but didn't do nothing)
tabs as said above work flawlessly
letter types needs "settingimprovement" as most of the settings...
vibration, the same has above
wifi control doesn't open
sound and display gives a "setting improvement" error but opens when tapping ok
profiles can be chosen
volume controls work
backlight needs "powerexe"
g-sensor needs "Acecelerometercalibrator"
data services gives a "setting improvement" error and doesn't open
security opens (didn't try yet)
Aplications open but inside any option i tried gave me a "setting improvement"....
Sd card and memory doesn't open "setting..."
time and date gives error "setting...." and opens (its same as clock on home screen)
local and text opens (didn't try yet)
updates open (didn't try yet)
other opens and shows Sansung configs (and they work)
device info opens
phone identity - error (setting....)
hardware - error "deviceinfo"
software - error (same as above)
batery - error "powerexe"
about - error "setting...)
I don't know nothing about programing and hacking but i hope it helps all of us fixing and playing with this great piece of software
My opinion for this is that in it current state it works well as a eye candy and info/shortcut picker home screen
for social and network is a no go for now
Runs well and it doesn't drain the battery like mad...
i even got 70mb free ram to play with...
for now i think this is a positive step forward to put this thing runin' well
i'll update this if someone wants me to test something more

Phone Canaves looks nice (seen in Roms of Mirolg, feropont and and ....), but I couldn't find a working version or cab.
Which version is working? Can someone provide me it.

The green talk button is empty. Its green but without the font.

After flashing a clean rom, default o2 rom.

no prob. make a MasterClean or HardReset to restore your old dailer. for install you dont need adding programs to install.install alone the dailer, reset, reeboot

Many thanks for the tip on Phonex - I hadn't discovered that before and am now sold on it - excellent stuff
My only query just now is I am unable to find out how to ad photos to Contacts in Phonex - read the instructions and tried every menu option going but can't see... have emailed their tech support with the query. The manual / menus illustrated are from V2 so appears as if there may be some fifference in the newer V3.
If you can offer any clues would be much appreciated !

Don't have phonex myself, but i am sure the way it worked for v2 must be similar, try this:
Contacts > press right side of contact > then choose change > select photo > from here on should be quite straightforward.
In version 3 no wonder you are having trouble, at least in the demo, it all looks similar, Contacts > press right side of contact > then choose edit > where has the photo option gone????!!!!!

Many thanks - clicking to the right of a Contact brings up the details panel; going Edit from there opens on top row: Delete, >Blank<, vCard and Calendar; on bottom row: Contact >Make Main< (Greyed out), Favourite and Copy. Selecting Contact opens a new stripe allowing application of a personal Ringtone; I think there should be a similar 'stripe' allowing selection of Photo.....

Another dialer alternative, sadly another paid piece of software though is Inesoft Phone 7, very similar to Phonex but i think Phonex is better myself.

the same effect i get after install my ManilaDailer on feroponts 6.5 ROM
[ROM]ROM_TG01_6.5.21916_WWE_Clean
the problem is causes in this ROM. the standard Dailer by start has not the right black background. here fails a file.
if i install my ManilaDailer i get the same graphic error with background. Install this Dailer for 6.5 ROM. whit it is all correct. http://www.4shared.com/file/iE3yMqob/Phone_Canvas_34019201930.html
EDIT= The PhoneDailer on feroponts 6.5 ROM is skinned! delete to have really standard and to use with booth my ManilaDailer in registry hklm\security\phone the reg. entry SKIN. now works my dailer 1 and the new also!

Installed this cab on miROM7.
So now when I receive a call both dialers pop up - the ROM one and the cab one. The ROM screen is in front of the cab screen so that I can only use the ROM soft buttons.
How do I deactivate the ROM dialer so I can use the cab dialer?

umpf... why you install a new ManilaDailer you have a good and 90% the same in miROM7 included? i don´t know but i think the dailer in ROM is a cab- try to remove.
if will not go in registry hklm\security\phone and delete SKIN and SMARTDIAL and reboot= now you have the standard dailer. now you can new install the new ManilaDailer.
