Hi,
I am thinking about upgrading to 6.5 from 6.1. I have look at many of the roms posted but don't really know which one I should select. I really want just a pretty basic one that is reliable. Anyone have any insight?
Welcome to forums
Try to ask on your device section
It´s more likely there someone can point you the right direction
Good luck,
Check & Read the chef's Rom threads/posts in the Kaiser section. Happy Flashing
There are is no official 6.5 rom for the Tilt. Therefore the only available 6.5 roms are custom roms and are all "beta " roms. Read the rom descriptions and read ...read .. read the threads and see what people are saying about the rom.
Most 6.5 chefs prefer to make there roms " cutting edge ". Why waste your time cooking something that is safe and middle of the road. M$ can do that ( can you say boring ? ) Why do you want 6.5 ? If that's all you want is basic and stable , stick with 6.1 There are plenty of great 6.1 roms. If you want your friends to "....ooh and ....ahh " over your new pushed to the limit 6.5 rom then be prepared for a little beta testing and bug chasing. But not much , our Kaiser 6.5 chefs have it down.

Read this article and was wondering if any of the Chefs had been successfull with a beta build.
The guy really needs to get a better camera; the video is horrible. Anyhow, i'm very curious and encouraged to start cooking for Wm6.5
Yea but where can we get a beta of 6.5 to port?
I'm actually surprised Kareem didn't close this thread, there's a very similar thread further down on the page.
Supposedly, the ROM is in the release sticky in the Blue Angel Mobile 6 forum, but it was Anryl or someone who expressed concern over if it was actually the real deal.
Let's just keep one generic WM6.5 Kaiser post alive please

Where do you get the WM 6.5 ROM for the Fuze? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Just head over to the Raphael Rom Development section and there are tons of 6.5 ROMs to choose from....
of course, however, read the first sticky on flashing a rom in detail and do your research.
Officially, ATT is not purported to release a 6.5 for the fuze.
I have to recommend NRG’s Energy 3.0 Phoenix ROMs. I am running the 052209 version and he just released the 052809 update. I have found NRG’s ROMs to be FAST and VERY stable. If this is your first flash, this one might be the best to go with at first, hell it is the best what am I saying.
I can also recommend RRE's rom, which is what I'm using. I haven't tried the other one, because I was too lazy to set up the connections over the weekend myself. The RRE rom is configured to work "out of the box" on the at&t network. Fast & stable. Haven't had one problem with it. When we have another "rainy day" and I can't get outside, I might screw around with some of the others. Give the 6.5 a try, it's (in my opinion) better than 6.1.
But, BE WARNED! The cooks almost always post an FAQ section on their respective rom section because they get tired of answer the same questions over and over and over again....who wouldn't, so, if you ask a newbie question, expect to be ignored or flamed.
give it a try, and have fun!
Hi.
Sorry if this is a bit OT.
I've been thinking, that it would be nice to have WM6.1 ROMs in their own section and 6.5 ROM's in another section. Am I the only one?
Just a thought.
My opinion, is that the Kaiser forum is quieting down. Chefs are moving onto newer devices and producing less ROMs. I'm sure when the official 6.5 comes out there will be an influx of new ROMs, but, on the whole I don't think there is enough ROMs to merit a new forum.
The wiki should provide a better overview (if it was more upto date ) : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Cooked_ROMs.

I like that idea. I'm still sticking to 6.1 and it's just hard to find these ones with all the 6.5 Roms coming out

Click to collapse
+1 it's not hard to view the first 1-4 pages and then if you want something old using search, i like it how it is as the most up to date ROMs on first page means less clicking for me

+ 1 .....It is easy to tell the roms apart though , 6.5 has that crappy new interface nooooobody likes.
Hi all!
I'm new here. I bought a new (half year old) kaiser with a cooked rom. First I restored the original wm 6.1 rom. But this is very slow. I searched and found a lot of rom but I can't choice. I search a rom which is small and fast include java and live messenger and better camera driver (too noisy and after sunset it is taking a picture up to 10 seconds!). I found a new display driver under development, on this page. I would like to this driver be part of the cooked rom, if the driver is working property (i hope this is understandable ). So my phone is original non-SIM-locked and the bootloader has cracked. one thing: on the original rom the tcpmp don't start, but with the cooked rom it ran. I don't need wm 6.5 but if that is better no problem.
thanks for your help!
I hope my first thread is created at the good part of the forum
Firstly,
Welcome to the forum! This is the right part of the forum for Kaiser ROM, however ...
Secondly,
You'll need to do a lot of reading, and decide based on that. As a newbies, I did ask this question too, and the answer came back: no recommendation can be given, each must take each' journey.
You can make the decision by reading the thread of each ROM, read the responses, and clarification by other users.
It takes a lot of hardwork to read, and it takes more hardwork for the chef's to cook a ROM that works well! So, my suggestion is to read more and ask less.
Happy hunting
(and mod, please shut down the thread)
ROMs
I can't say one is better than the other. I've tried quite a few ROMs and have settled on TPC Elite, however that is what works best for my purposes. The previous answer to your post is correct, lots of reading and then make the decision on your own.
Once you have HardSPL installed (version depends on the ROM your flashing as I've read), you can flash a different ROM every day like you decide what shirt to wear each morning. It's quite awesome!
thx all!
im on it. i am reading the rom infos since i registered here. but i thinked i found somebody who is minimalist like me
Anryl ROM is great but now anryl stop making ROM for Kaiser
so now I'm stuck with TPC Elite ROM... great ROM. so I recommend this one... try V4.
better you read the tutorial first about upgrading ROM, radio, SPL etc..
if i seen good (direct from hungarian ) the TPCElite needs hardslp v3.56 and i have spl-3.56.Hard CPLD-8 so this is passed. total 100mb ram? its better than oem (85) i will try this
i confused the 3d graphic driver is included?
Try any of the latest ROM out there, then stick to the 1 without problem I almost bricked my kaiser last time flashing hardspl. so be careful.. Dun flash unneccesary to much
There are so many cooked ROM here. I am not able to locate the best lite stable cooked one! Can any one help us?
Lite cooked WM6.1 ROM (build 21014)
Over 100 members have viewed my request and no one reply to my request. Any one can help me, please?
Guess not.
Each cooked ROM is specific, and people look for different things in them.
So everyone has to decide for her/himself.
And on the other hand, You should look in "Polaris upgrading" subforum...
Hi, if you like Lite Roms I recommend you the ones in my signature, depending on wm6.1 or wm6.5 usage. (Radio 1.59 in both cases). I only can talk well about both of them. They seem to me fast and stable and with lots of space for your own customization.
It is not easy to find posts on the topic of pros and cons, so those who do not like to flash have difficulties choosing. My suggestion is to check always the posts and the signatures, since then you can see how other people has evolved in their choice.
