hi.
First of all, this is the development area. You should have asked in the general area...
If you would have searched the forums, you would of found that your question is not the only one.
You can use PicMe, a free app you can download in the market that sets up a server and you go to a desktop browser, enter the server address and it will show you the current screen.
You have 3 modes:
Static (single image - right click - save as - .png)
Live (does what is says... a bit laggy)
Standalone (a standalone version of the viewer)
The servers address is set up is something like http://192.168.1.101:8082 (http://your.ip.address:8082)
Your phone must be connected by WiFi in the same network with your desktop.
I haven't tried through 3G yet, so I can't really tell.
Hope this solves your question...

I've been working for some time developing a web-tv service. It started only available for Windows XP/Vista and now it is available on Windows Mobile, Linux and Mac OS X.
In terms of the Windows Mobile version some of the more interesting features are:
- live TV streaming at 128 kbps and 512 kbps (suitable for EDGE/3G/HSDPA/WIFI)
- users can play back content that was aired a maximum of 7 days before
- available for Windows 5/6
- support for VGA devices such as the Diamond Touch
I hope you can enjoy this service.
http://www.pbxtelecom.ro
Setup instructions:
1) Download and install the the right version for your handset by pointing your mobile browser to http://www.pbxtelecom.ro (or alternatively download the CAB to your computer and copy and install it on your handset).
2) Go to Options - Options and choose International in the PBX Network dropdown.
3) Create an account if you already don't have one by going to Options - Options - Options - Create Account.
4) Depending on your location choose the closest Publishing Point to you by going to Options - Options - Options - Refresh Servers and choose a Publishing Point from the dropdown.
5) Choose either broadband or mobile from the Connection Speed dropdown.
doh!
Hello there,
The link to download brings up a download site - I have been able to find the qvga version but no matter what I search, I cannot get the VGA version for ma advantage!
Otherwise I would test it!
Thanks
Does the program support English. I noticed the site does not (as I can not find an option to change language). So just curious as to whether the program has adjustable language or at least a seperated language file where users can make their own conversions?
The VGA version is the last one: http://pbxtelecom.ro/tv/updates/ptv_mobile.htm
SiliconeClone, Windows Mobile and Linux versions are exclusive in English. Windows XP/Vista has a language selector (it pops up the first time you run the application) and defaults to English. Perhaps you are using older versions of the software.
LE: there was a DNS problem that denied the serving of the CAB and sent the user to another project that I am currently working on ( http://www.sharemobile.ro ). Press refresh on the download page and try again. This only occured with some hosts. Sorry for the confusion.

I wasn't using any version. Just wanted to know about English before I downloaded it. Sorry at work and couldn't test it so was trying to get a little more info.
Thanks
Has anyone had a chance to give this a try? I'm far from a programmer or developer and would prefer to not crash my phone. Maybe I'll be a guina pig and try it. If it matters, I'm running Win Mobile 6.1 on my XV6800.
How could you crash your phone by viewing streaming? It's a simple CAB file that installs on your phone - nothing more.

It is an application and can mess things up if it has real problems. I'd just prefer to not have to hard reset if there's a serious glitch in the software.
I downloaded and installed it, but I have no idea how to use it lol. What server am I supposed to be logging in to and where do I get a name / pass etc..? I was expecting something oldschool winampish but I think I might have misunderstood what the program is.
Tap 'options', 'PTV options', 'options','create account'.
Enter the details you want to use and you're god to go.
enter your details again in the boxes and select save details and then 'connect'.
You get a list of what appears to be Euro channels, select one and 'connect'. WMP opens and starts to buffer.
That's as far as I got, nothing would play.
I have it working, but I can only find one channel: Realitatea. It's also choppy and buffering a lot. This happens using both EV and Wifi. And it's set to the lowest connection speed.
Where would I get a better channel list? As an FYI, I'm using the Win 6.1 ROM supplied by verizon.
The buffering happens because of the long distance between Romania (where the servers are) and US. We should have the service running in a few weeks in US as well.
TIP: in the mean time you can try viewing the re-runs since they are not live and although it will buffer more in the beginning, the playback should be more smooth. Another tip is to go to WMP and choose 56 kbps connection - forcing the streaming server to stream at 34 kbps (lowest speed).
For those that just want to see it as a demo and don't want to go through the hassle of creating a new account try logging on with username "test" and password "asd".
PBX TV version 1.01 released:
- fixed an issue that prevented the correct launching of WMP
For setup instructions please view the first post of this thread.
Is there a program for Wordpress blog owners to put on a WM phone to write new blog articles, etc?
I use PocketSharp MT. It's designed for Moveable Type but supports Wordpress
Find it here

blah - I am having some problems setting it up. I am trying to install this great program on my new HTC Fuze (same as the htc touch pro).
My blog is http://www.politicaldisgust.com and when I try to add a new blog I get a bunch of errors including:
1) Could not synchronize blog: System error: No such host is known
Maybe I have the RPC URL incorrect. What should go in that line?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love this to work with my blog.
‘RPC URL’ is your blog’s URL plus a ‘/xmlrpc.php’
so it would be http://www.politicaldisgust.com/xmlrpc.php most likely. Homeurl would be just the base url like http://www.politicaldisgust.com
I have used it with my wizard and windows mobile 6.1 It worked fine for me but maybe there is something keeping it from working on a newer phone. Hopefully it will be something easy to figure out and you can get it going.
Good afternoon, dear forum users!
Please, tell me what is the best Remote Desktop software for Windows Mobile that you use? I have Xperia X1 and tried Remote Desktop from WM 6.1 version. It connects, but its fonts and screen size are broken. You can see it on the attached screenshots. If there would be a program which properly worked with fonts, Xperia screen size and was able to zoom regions, it would be just perfect! I really need such soft...
Who uses which soft for this purpose?
Thank you very much in advance!
I use Log Me In.
You have different zoom options. You use the edge of the screen to scroll around.
There are paid for versions that have extra features but the free version is plenty for me
Thank you for your answer, FlexiPack.

If I understood properly, it doesn't use Microsoft RDP protocol, it uses its own client and server. Morover, it makes me fill information about computers I access on their website. It's interesting, it's definitely a solution, but obviously isn't secure enough...
Is there any soft which uses microsoft RDP protocol(ordinary remote desktop protocol via TCP port number 3389) which has zoom ability and work properly with fonts and 800*480 screen resolution?
Try Remote Desktop Mobile. Don't know much about it but for me it always worked fine.

This is what I used and posted screenshots from above. It got some fonts troubles and doesn't work properly with my screen resolution. The cab of it is in attachment(just to compare if it's the latest version).
Just tried zaDesktop - it's very good, everything is nice, except one thing: on Xperia keyboard is always in "blue"-mode(i.e. if blue key was twice pressed). It can't be turned off. So I can't input some letters. But the rest is very promising.
I would donate money to someone who made a remote app to foobar2000 for android.
Maybe there already is but I've searched a lot and cant find it =(
There is this http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=38114 control.dll wich handles some commands and the connection over tcp/ip.
But the rest I can't do on my own
I also would like a foobar remote. I've done the android tutorials on the sdk website but I'm by no means an experienced developer.
I thought I would base it around the android-vlc-remote interface.
Perhaps a google code project is a good idea?
I have written a remote controller for foobar2000 a while ago. It's not very beautiful, but at least it works. It's not a plugin for foobar though, it's a server program written in Java. It still just has the basic controls, but I'm about to make it good and release it after my exams (in a couple of weeks or so).
Try out foo_httpcontrol. Then there are a few templates that look good on the Android (I use the ones by KEVO).
I can't post a link, but here is the URL, but Google and there is a thread on Hydrogen Audio dot org

i am using that too , but do u have resolution problem, becoz it is designed for G1
beware, shameless self-plug follows:
i've written an app to control foobar2k over wifi. uses the foo_httpcontrol plugin to send commands/get data.
the website is: foodroid.net84.net (has the QR-Code). or simply search for "foodroid" in the market.
please note, if you already have foo-httpcontrol installed: you also need to have the "ajquery" template installed.
if you don't have it installed: i made a setup to install foo-httpcontrol including "ajquery".
it's currently in beta, but pretty useable IMHO.
cheers, bugramovic

Yea I think Splashtop is a lot better for this. also if you want unlimited "Access Anywhere" (on splashtop) just TOR the referral link.
For my opinion, Chrome Remote Desktop is a valid alternative, but TemaViewer is the best
