IMPORTANT NOTES TO KNOW:
1. people who didn't donate yet (for the Elite Team Project or Hard-SPL, etc.) and want the sim unlocker the easiest way is to go to the link in the first post, and use the submit form to pay there to do it in an automatic way. don't try to do a payment manually, takes more time to process it then.
2. if you did donate in the past before this release, then send me a PM here on XDA (PPCGeeks I don't really check often):
a) transaction ID for donation *and* your paypal address you used for it
b) IMEI
c) email to send sim unlocker to
3. if you have the Sprint version, you'll need to flash a patched sprint radio too (in other thread).

My TP2 is unlocked and im using Mightyrom, i was playing around with it and i notice when i go to start>settings>Personal> and then Sim Security. I go into sim security it says "Your phone is SIM Unlocked" does that mean i can use GSM/CDMA radios?
so if i donate and unlock my sim on this phone,and get a replacement TP2(most likley to happen knowing these devices)can i unlock the replacement too?

see if you have Security unlocked text in bootloader. if not, rerun unlocker from step 2
one question, what is the difference between this and having verizon sim unlock my phone? does this unlock anything in addition to verizon's unlock?

Yea your phone is locked forever. You get 5 tries typically and then you're screwed. Call the phone in for warranty and then just get a new unlock code for that phone and you're good to go.
On T-Mobile if you go over 10 times you just have to call in and verify the IMEI. If ATT is different, then I guess you are locked forever.
Yeah, that's a bummer man. Your phone is locked permanently.
This is the official ATT statement that came with my unlock code...
Caution: If this process is unsuccessful five times in a row, the phone will be permanently locked to the at&t network. Do not attempt to enter the code more than one (1) time total. Instructions below will assist you in unlocking your device, if these steps are unsuccessful please contact us at 1-800-331-0500 or (916) 843-4685 from overseas.
However, I think it may be possible with jocky's SuperCID with AT commands.

If you have ATT and you've had the phone for less than a year (you have to, it's less than a year old) then you have warranty return.
However, you must have purchased the phone from ATT, you can't buy it on eBay or something and then warranty return it. Also, I'm sure they will deny you on the basis that you locked your phone, although I can't be sure. You'll probably have to be creative here, but you'd have to check the 'official' rules.

I didn't see ""security unlocked" in the tri-color bootloader....i just see on the top of left conner:

I have HTC Fuze (AT&T) with the Stock ROM and features.
I purchased this model in US and currently I am in India and tried to use it
I obtained the proper unlock code from AT&T and entered it from the QWERTY Keyboard and also the touch screen entry
But this failed to unlock it.
But I tried unlocking it for 4 times
Later I called AT&T and asked help they asked me to do whatever was done before once from Keyboard and once from screen
Now I get a message stating
"You have tried 6 times so far Please wait untill timeout"
I informed AT&T Regarding this they say Your phone is now permanently locked to AT&T We are sorry for the trouble.
Is ther any way I can do the SIM Unlock and use it for other n/w apart from AT&T.
Please help me in this.

Yesterday, i just got Att Fuze without contract but that need to be filled the code. My friend said that i can buy the code on somewhere but after hard reset that code will be lost and need to fill another code again. Another way that is using unlockcid and hardspl but after that he dont know exactly what will happen and just know Fuze can up another rom. So after i unlockcid and hardspl, the first rom att built in will not change ?

Just read the sticky in the rom development section, the one about UNLOCKER. You will need to pay for it. But it is worth it.
So, can you use the Unlocker multiple times, if you need it after a hard re-set? Or, do you need to purchase another? Thanks!

Why don't you just read the sticky thread regarding the unlocker.
I have read the thread, but like I said, I don't understand all of the techno-stuff and am not interested in flashing new ROMs. Most of the questions and answers go beyond what I want to know (Q. Do I need to SIM unlock everytime I hard re-set the device? Answer: I don't think so.).

How does that relate to the CID unlocker? To flash roms and radios you need to hard-spl your phone. CID unlock is a security unlock. SIM Unlock can be provided by the provider. and flashing roms/radios is possible by flashing hard-spl.
I unlocked mine through www.htccode.com and they had the code to me in 5 minutes. It was easy and they walked me through it. I would use them if I were you, they were great!!!

I used them again to unlock my dream. I had the code within minutes and everything went smooth.
okay so I have searched and searched and all tutorials all point to http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/ for unlocking but the thing is I got my code from htccode.com now I dont know how to enter this code to unlock my device. from my understanding is this not possible? I used my tmobile sim switched to gsm but never get a prompt to enter lock code.
is using rhodiumw the only way yo be able to unlock the Sprint version? I hope I didnt waste my money purchasing a code I cant even use I tried searching online but nothing! im lost and was hoping to unlock my device but now its looking less and less likely.

I've been reading around it seems you need to flash a patched radio as well.
As for a work-around, the only way to do with Sprint is flash a patched radio. However to my understanding in order to flash a GSM radio (even when it's part of a combo radio such as in our case,) the phone must be "security & CID unlocked". I was confused about this until I realized that it is NOT the same thing as HardSPL unlocked. I believe there is more in the Upgrades section regarding the differences between HardSPL and CID/Security unlock.

So once again buying my sim unlock code was a waste of money and SHOULD have went with rhodiumw method instead. Oh well live and learn I guess. now to convince the wife to let me spend another 20$ lol
I was just wondering if anybody will ever be able to unlock the bootloader for the Droid Ultra... similar to the Developer Edition phone. Like is it a work in progress or do people think it won't ever happen?

You need not go through the ebay middlemen that people talk about there, you can paypal the seller directly.
Search that thread for paypal. If you look closely you'll find an address to which you can send money, your IMEI, and your email address and they'll mail you back a code.

So once I get that code, I don't ever have to worry about waiting for an exploit to come out after every update? Like... I'll be all set no worries and can jailbreak right away?
If your bootloader is unlocked then you can just install a custom recovery over the stock recovery image (people here like TWRP), use it to flash SuperSU, and then you're off to the races.
You are no longer dependent upon someone finding privilege escalation security holes in the OS that would permit rooting (and would no doubt get patched out in a future OTA).
The caveat here is that if you replace the recovery image and flash SuperSU, you will no longer be able to update your device via OTA. The OTA update process relies upon having a stock recovery, and it will often choke anyway if there are files in the system partition that should not be there (such as what will happen if you're rooted).
Easiest way to get updates in the future would be to SBF it it back to stock, take OTA, then put the custom recovery back. Because you have an unlocked bootloader you have no need to worry about losing root.

I'm seeing quite a few different "methods" or instructions for rooting. I just picked up my Oneplus 8 today with T-Mobile, it's on a payment plan if that matters for SIM unlock, etc.
What's the easiest method to rooting the device? I use Adguard and want it to run using the "root" method which is better, per their support (which is why I bought this phone). My current build (which reports up to date) is 10.5.10.IN55CB

You can only root after sim unlocking the device. After that you would apply for an unlock token from OnePlus, and after a week you'll be able to unlock the bootloader (which will wipe your data) and then you will be able to proceed with any of the root guides posted here.
There is a sim unlock thread in the guides section here, though the person offering the free service is heavily backlogged at the moment. You may have better luck asking TMobile on Twitter for a permanent unlock, though they are very stubborn.
Once your device has been permanently unlocked, you would toggle unlock bootloader in developer options, enter fastboot and enter a command (follow the OnePlus unlock bootloader guide somewhere on Google for this)

TMobile will officially unlock it after paying it off in full (and I think be on the network for x number of days) but there have been cases where they have unlocked the device prior to it being paid off, ultimately it depends on the representative you speak to

Look on our website there is someone who can SIM Unlock for you, without you having to pay off your phone first. From there you can request from One Plus to send you your unlock bin. This is how I went about it, I was up and running with an unlocked bootloader in 1 week. Might want to donate if possible:highfive:

Yeah he does get busy but he unlocked mine and my wife OnePlus 8 phones. Just be careful with outsiders and don't give them your IMEI number or any other sensitive info. Happy modding!
