Please help with audio volume - HTC Vox

Hi, i'm trying a couple of days now to find a way to increase the volume when i use the headset to listen mp3, does anyone have a solution? i use wm 6.5.

try using MP3Gain. It is free. U can use it to make your mp3 louder.

thanks, i'll try that, but i have seen for other devices hacks for the low volume, i have tried them but they don't apply in vox

Use a Mobile registry editor (like Resco Explorer), goto HKLM->Software->HTC->Audio Gain-> EAC_GainHeadset (I think, or its something HeadSet... I think you can figure that out ) and change it to ... say 70 (do not go above that as sound will crack.).
Hope it helps

Unfortunately i have tried all registry hack's and none is working i was wondering if there is any file to hex edit...

A2DP on Tornado!!

Now you can use A2DP (Bluetooth Stereo) on HTC Tornado w/ AKU2 ROM...
1. The ROM should be updated as latest AKU2 ROM from i-mate (SP5 or 8310: i-mate_SP5_???_2.5.33?.?.zip, SP5m or 8300: i-mate_SP5m_???_2.6.33?.?.zip) and unlocked by RegEditSTG.exe and SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe .
2. Copy Avrcp_MPplugin.dll, bta2dp.dll, sbc.dll to \Windows thru ActiveSync.
3. Copy Tor_A2DP_cert.CAB to any folder (I recommend \My Documents), and execute CAB from File Manager.
4. Import or modify A2DP-related registry values, using MobileRegistryEditor (see Readme.txt or A2DP.reg included in the ZIP file).
5. Power Off and On
6. You can enable A2DP for your stereo headset, from Settings - 6. Connections - 2. Bluetooth - Menu (right softkey) - 1. Devices - Select your A2DP headset - Menu (right softkey) - Set as Wireless Stereo !!
Enjoy!
What does Tor_A2DP_cert.CAB do?
I wonder if it's as easy as it looks like to add A2DP feature to another HTC device
What does actually Tor_A2DP_cert.CAB file do?
Thank you for any help getting this work an latest Wizard ROM.

It's just a certificate that created by myself...
And 3 files included in the ZIP are signed using this certificate.
I never tested the certificate and files on non-Tornado devices, but I guess it can work on other devices (but the Bluetooth stack should be same version as these A2DP files... means AKU 2.0).
It work on 818pro. YEAH
Well
Then it SHOULD work on Wizard!!!
Any chance this will work on an older Wizard Rom? I need to use an old one for Blackberry compatiblity. Don't have an A2DP compatible headset, but may pick one up from best buy during lunch
ya know, instead of people asking if it works on other models, how about trying it first? it's not going to hurt if you do try it, so why worry?

Anyone figure out how to import the .reg file? I tried Mobile REgistry editor and it doesn't give an option anywhere. I haven tried PHM Registry Editor and can't get the Import option not to be grayed out. I even double clicked on the .reg file on my wizard and all it did was launch the phm regedit app, but didn't import. Any help would be appreciated...
Wow Imma have to try this.
Anyone know how to import the reg file ???

this thread shows the keys that should be added and what they are(dword , string , key etc)
You guys rock worked like a dream just need to get my headphones now, motos anygood???
Good work kyunga! How did you do it? I've seen these dll's from rom dumps before, but I was under the impression that in order to work, they had to be manually edited by hand. Are these files from the wizard test rom or does it use the official implementation present on the universal. Great work again!
SUPERB

The CAB file attached in that thread will copy all necessary files and import all registry settings automatically. Don't have to do it manually. Thanks to kyunga for his original contribution.

Using MP3s for text message notification?

Hey all, got a question. I searched the boards for this but wasn't able to find an answer that worked.
I know you guys aren't using the lame sounds that came with the phone, so I gotta know--what's the trick? We've got an mp3 trimmer app that would work great, if anything other than phone calls worked with it. How do I get my mp3s to work as notification tones? Do I need to convert to .wav? If so, what's a good app to use, preferably on the phone itself?

nope MP3 is just fine but u need to "CUT" the file from were ever u have it and go to "MY DEVICE IN FILE EXPLORER" and hit "application Data" then "SOUNDS" and then hit paste!
and then goto into settings and hit "Sounds&Notifacations" then hit notifacation sounds and when it loads scroll to "incoming Text" and pic your MP3 File!
hope you understood that
they have to be small files, but they can be .mp3s i would think at least smaller than 200kb
edit the file with mp3 trimmer or you will need a wav/mp3 file editor like 'cool edit'.
put the files in this directory to have them appear in the settings - sounds -notifications - new text message:
application data\Sounds\
Works like a champ, guys.
Cheers!
theres no way to have it rotate through a few is there?

nueAudio for AudioPara3.csv

Does anyone know if this or something like it exists for the TP? TIA
nueAudio

Are you looking for the in call audio boost?

Registry change to increase the volume? (Did HTC hide this registry key)

Hello Guys,
I just would like to increase the volume of my HD2 when I listen to my mp3s.
Does someone know which registry key to modify (in France volume is limited to 100 db). Cannot find it.
Old tweaks which used to work on all previous HTC models do not work anymore on the HD2.
Thanks for ur help
It would be interesting.
I think that the volume level is not bad but could be better, like the HD when modified it with HD Tweak.
i am also interested
please help us !!
michel
Hi,
Me too. Been looking for weeks now. I believe it's not in the registry but a config file in the Windows folder.
I suspect it's not easy to edit though. The new HD Tweak doesn't cover volume, nor does BsB Tweaks, whereas on the HD it was solved very early on.
What's strange is that HD Tweak removed the restriction on my HD even though that was running Dutty's Leo ROM on 6.5.
HD Tweak looks like it's removed the restriction on the HD2 but the volume doesn't appear to change.
Frustrating. I'm still using my old HD for music!
p.s. You may want to start here:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\AcousticFile
Don't get excited by the Maximum App Volume - changing this on mine did nothing that I can tell.
AcousticFile points to Windows\audiopara3_Max.csv (which doesn't seem to exist, even looking at hidden files). Thisis what used to set the limits on older devices (or so I've been told).
SysMaxVol doesn't seem to do anything either.
Hope this helps.
Thank you very much. I tried this registry change. But you are right, no effect
Strangely the HD2 registry differs from the one of the HD.
I tried to modify the volume level using HD Tweak and Shaps Advanced Config: no result
Why is it so complicated?
My neither. - (nor AppMaxVulume and the same effect with SysMaxVolume)
Can someone help?
Thanks
What I have done is to increase de mp3 file volume with "mp3DirectCut" and I will wait for a solution.
I hope someone can help us.
friendly bump....
We won't give up.
there's a audio calibration file in /windows
but I've not been able to open it so far.
attached is the one from the 202 rom if anyone wants to try
Strange. I have one question:
It seems that the old registry tweaks regarding In Call Recording and Volume Increase do not work anymore on the HD2.
Would it be possible that HTC on purpose decided to hide these registry parts, as they may correspond to legal limitations???!
I can't believe it.

We have new hardware.. new way of doing things?
People I use by replacing in Windows folder (with Total Commander or Resco Explorer) this file AudioPara3.csv
I upload one zip with an original file AudioPara3.csv in Original folder, one AudioPara3.csv with an audio increment in folder Full Boost and another AudioPara3.csv in folder Lighter Boost.
So... you can try first per example the AudioPara3.csv in folder Full Boost and copy/replace the original in Windows folder>Soft Reset and try... the same with Lighter Boost If you don't like the results... replace in Windows with AudioPara3.csv in Original folder of the zip I attach
Don't forget do a Soft-Reset after copy to Windows folder... any of AudioPara3.csv

Fidalgos, thanks a lot.
I just installed it in on my HD2. I successfully placed the AudioPara3.csv file in the Windows folder. Strangely Total Commander did not ask me if it should overwrite any older AudioPara3.csv file, which suggest that there was no such prior AudioPara3.csv file in Windows. Am I right.
Everything seems to work fine. I will test it tomorrow in the street to check if it is not the famous placebo effect
Yes is true... Windows folder don't have this file But when you soft reset and return... if you use the file in Full Boost folder... shure you have an increment of audio in general and maybe you must decrease on volume button a --step . When you try in street... say something
Before... open your windows media player and put the volume in 100% then... close the WMP (real close) to set this 100% in volume
Regards
It seems already better.
Thanks a lot Fidalgos.
not much better, not like old HD.
Maybe, after copying this audio para3.csv file we can make reg change in sysMaxVolume from 6 to 7 or 8.
Maybe this can enable audio para3.csv file to take effect?
Did someone tried this?
thanks
thanks for the info but no use :crying:

G-Alarm
The application that i like to use on my TG01 is G-alarm. I think i got it off the marketplace.
anyway you pay £5 one time only and then its yours, ive also managed to re-install it onto other phones i have using my key.
this is by far the best alarm which you can set to ask you upto 16 questions to switch it off
just a good idea so you dont go back to sleep or forget
and just to add to this, referring back to your mp3s, G-alarm will be able to use them as long as they are saved onto your SD card!
