Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get the motion sensor in my Omnia Pro working with programs written for HTC devices. Therefore I found "HTCEmu" (v0.9) which implements the "HTCSensorSDK.dll" for Omnia devices.
But unfortunately, it doesn't work on my B7610.
Has anyone tried it successfully? Or has anyone a hint how I can solve my problem?
I'd really like to use "changeScreen" or tools like that...
Thanks in advance,
joschi
Same here... tried a lot of versions but nothing works for me

Hi Everyone...
First off, I want to thank everyone for their help with my other devices.. Currently I use my HTC 8925 (aka AT&T Tilt)... My son is somewhat envious of my phone.. I have the s2u2 as well as S2P, etc, to make it a cool looking MP3 player as well.
I got a very good deal on a mint condition used Toshiba e405 (I am sorry, I know it isn;t a phone, but I didn't want him to have a PPC phone yet).. Anyways... This thing is in like new condition, which means it has WM 2003 on it... Ideally I would LOVE to get WM 5 or 6 on this, but I can not find any updates for that... What I DID find however is an update from Toshiba's website for WM 2003se .... (Link : http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/...lCategory=7&selFamily=177034&selModel=513365| ). Here lies the problem... The software that comes with it has directions on how to flash this using their software on Windows XP using Activesync... Unfortunatly for the software, I use Vista... and when I try to flash I get an error saying ti can;t find the device....
Please help... I would like to get this as updated as I can for him before christmas... I found out that even with SE I won;t be able to install s2p and such.. but it will still work as a cool mp3 player and I can install some games.. But if anyone know of anyhtign simmilar to s2p that would work on it let me know as well... I look forward to all you help! Thank you in advance!

Hey dude
This is windows mobile Only
Also HTC only - you wont find much help for S60 V5 here!
Go to www.samsungi8910omnia.com or www.symbian-freak.com and you will get all the help you need.
Please read the posts before you ask as Im sure its a sticky - you basically need to sign and install Hello X or carbide or some shizzle......I just sign everything I want my self from with my cert from www.opda.com
Peace yo
Hmm, I like the Omnia i8910 a lot, but unfortunately, I don't own it currently, so I can't offer you much advice on how to install unsigned apps. Unfortunately, I don't own any other Symbian phones either.
However, I thought there was a way to sign Symbian apps yourself, so that you can install it? I'm not sure if it would work on the Symbian version in the i8910, but you can try yourself.
Here's a link: http://www.symbian-guru.com/welcome/2009/04/how-to-sign-unsigned-applications.html

Hi all,
I have a question about an application I developed for radio. It allows you to listen todifferent radio stations.
I installed on my Omnia 7 without problems, it works. Microsoft refuses, explaining that the application does not work.
Is it logical that the application works on my phone, not on their (Windows TestedPhones: HTC 7 Trophy, Samsung Focus / SGH-i91)?
And how to debug a problem like this? I do not know where does the fault and the emulator will be very useful to me.
Thanks for help

You could use the beta marketplace for this matter. Users can download and install your app directly from there if their live IDs have been enabled to access it.
Hi Guys,
I´m thinking really hard now about buying myself the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, what I really need it for as wel, is navigating in a hopefully relaxing way. Over the years I grew fond of working with the TomTom Navigation software on my Windows devices (the HTC HD2 is now my latest), but untill now (as far as I know), TomTom has no real navigation software purely for the Android devices. So, I stumbled on to the "SYGIC" navigation software and started reading about it.
I read that SYGIC could give "some problems" on the Galaxy Note, but fortunately, I recently read (I forgot where) that people are working with it now on their Note flawlessly with the latest SYGIC upgrade. Also I read, that the Note could not navigate in "Landscape", wich I'm very sorry to find. However, could anyone please tell me if this is because the Note is not simply able to, or is it just the navigation software itself? In that case, could anyone tell me if "SYGIC" is able to navagate in "landscape" on this device, or, for that matter, can anyone tell me wich navigation software DOES navigate in "landscape" on the Galaxy Note?
And last but not least: if the Galaxy Note is NOT able to let you navigate in "landscape", are you guys familiair allready with some kind of a "patch" or procedure, that could solve this problem? I know that I had the same problem with my HTC HD2 at the time, but then I found a piece of sofware that made the TomTom software navigate in "landscape" as well.
I hope to hear from you soon; Thank you!
(My appologies for my poor English!)

I can't speak specifically for the Note, but I have an S2 and it allows rotation in the native navigation app. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't work on the Note. Also, if it doesn't then that's down to the app, not the device (assuming of course that the Note does support rotation ))
There's app(s) available on the market that force specific rotation for specific apps - that may be helpful for you. I'll have a look and see if I can find one.
Edit: This will do the trick...

You can set specific things to happen on specific events, the one in question being your navigation app running. You can make it enable rotation when the app runs. I was hoping you could force orientation with it, but you can't. Still definitely worth a shot.
Thank you for your reply. I'll remember this link for the moment I'll have my Note...
