Found "maybe' New PPC Free Softwares Site in Cab/Zip formats

Hi all,
i don't know if this has been made known before but anyway here is a link http://www.freecabs.de/ to a site that serves to provide ppc users a place to find free/commercial softwares/games in cab file-ready format and zip. just to mention a few like Pocket Rar, PPC Skype, Mem Release, VLC Media Player (that can stream video), Virtual Earth Mobile, UI tweaker etc. As for version compatibility, as most is not mentioned, i guess it's up to the user to find out.
I've tried to look for the proprietor's name of this website but could not find any so i could not pay any tribute directly as yet but anyway if he/she reads this, "A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU" so if any of you guys do find his/her name please mention it here. he/she did tho' include his/her e-mail "[email protected]". I think he/she deserves our thank you.

well freecabs is great. But the site is really a portal for OTA downloads. All apps belong to their seperate owners.

Now the website is temporarily unhosted and perhaps discontinued in eight to ten months. This because the webmaster owner has a new carreer waiting ..
He will evaluate in 8 months if upholding the site is possible..

New Place to Upload Your Files

Hey guys (and gals)
I made an Upload file manager for us here at XDA-Developers.
For those of you who hate rapidshare or megaupload like I do, I'm donating some of my 3terrabyte bandwidth to you all. No pop-ups or advertising either..
You are able to Upload almost anything that you would like. (Roms, images, cab files...ect)
Maximum of 100MB (if you need more, please send me an email or PM)
Very easy to use and navigate
I will support hot-linking (only from XDA-Developers)

Uploader does NOT have a progress bar during upload, just be patient.
To get started :

Read the rules and conditions
Click on Shares near the top.
Select your phone.
List will be displayed, from here you can upload, sort, view, and display file information.
Clicking on the file will display file infornation on the side bar, you can right click copy download link to paste it into your post if you would like.
I started some files in the Wizard section.

All of the OS version violate this first rule. So, are you saying that you only want programs and such uploaded, no OS's. Thats the reason that XDA had to stop hosting these also.

Maybe because of the unfreezing process you have no inner monologue

As many have learned, there are no CYA procedures that will get you away from M$ lawyers. You are taking on a big thing here. Good luck if you continue to allow this.

like
ROM, OEM PACK, Programs

upd: erm.. file WF2.6 in wizard section may be ROM, that i made - Wayfarer 2.6 final...i don't know who uploaded it there, i did not...I will UL readme soon, if i may..

For some reason, adding sub-directories cant be done, only new shares can be added. So untill I can figure out how to do sub-directories.. the folders are staying as they are.

What application are you using? Ill help you figure it out. Just send me a pm with the name of the script

Just called Ajax File Browser (AFB) - search for that in google.

Looked like my server was having some problems, but the techs worked it out. Site is running faster than ever.

[Q] WM7 too SLOW opening APPS

I find the wm7 too slow to open and excute applications...compared to android, for example, i purchased a dictionary..to type a single word it takes several second until it reach destination!!"please wait..." ..which is instantely on android htc desire for exemple !! are we going to have something like Spare Parts to accelerate all the process so that wm7 is more fast ?? or should i return to android....

A question for the Moderators and Senior Members.

I am here and I was wondering where I was suppose to post tutorials in the Xoom Section. I was thinking about making some New Xoom User tutorials with screenshots, and if I am to find a good screen recorder app too, some videos, of basic questions as well as operation of the tablet. I would like to make sure I post it in the correct forum before I continue on with it as well as make sure someone has not already done an extensive overview of the actual operations like I am wanting to start here. I hope that I can start this up soon (well I am working on the posts now in word doc, but I am meaning by posting it up...)

Just a thought...you could post in general...if related to rooting it could be added to diablo2224's. Rooting thread, otherwise create your own. I hope you do some tutorials...do you know what you'd like to cover?

I was thinking about the little small things like "how to get to settings" and "explaining your questions for help" and so on. and then when i get a feel for how people react to them, maybe deeper into programming, rooting troubleshooting, and other stuff

I think that "how to get to settings" is a little basic, but I definitely think we need more tutorials on how to make the most of the Xoom (and Honeycomb in general) so have at it.
If you make videos "how to"s, I would create a single post in General and post links to all of them there. If they are just written guides, I would make a new post in General for each one.

I was thinking about making on big tutorial in on general location for all the links, kind of like the index of a book, and then you click the link and it goes to the forum post about that said link. I might have to do this on another page like a personal website but i really do not want to do that so i am looking into alternative ways. I was thinking too about making the videos a playlist and use youtube and maybe add a few Here's why and commentaries to the list. I have a whole list of ideas and I am hoping to get started (as in posting it up) soon! cause i use google docs, I can write on my phone when away and have an idea... so this should be interesting Also looking into screen recording material for ON the Xoom cause i do not want to be doing DDMS all the time for ever single frame that i need... if i had a video recorder it would be nicer ... but i will get to that when i cross that bridge! I will keep everyone updated on the tutorials when they get posted... I will if it suits people, us this as a "to go" point and just change the title, or make a new thread for the index.... Here we GO!

If you wish to see an example of one approach to this sort of idea, we have been building a community wiki for CyanogenMod 7 on the SGS and created a How To section. Of course this is a group effort as opposed to a single member, but the idea is much the same.

awesome to hear onn the cyanogen mod but I want to keep it as close to stock as possible... like right now I have super user but I have not changed the rom at all I'll look at the how to that you linked me to and I will study it and see what advice to writing a tutorial it will give me :-D

[Feature Request] Video Share button

i m not understanding y u guys are not adding share option for videos in mxplayer...else i was giving 5 star for u......i m gonna switch to other player if u won't add this feature even now ...and other million user also want share via option...i m posting third time d same issue....y u guys are not understanding...d is theme should be at top..until dev add dis...if agree hit tnks n like...n say yes....

I agree with the share option but take it easy, maybe in version 2.0
If I get this option plus an option to add an external audio to a video, I would buy it.
