Samsung Jack's Messsage Ticker Hack Request - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

Well, I recently purchased the Samsung Jack as an upgrade to the Samsung Blackjack II. One application that I particularly miss is SMSBubbles, which displayed a recieved text on the home screen. From there, you could click on a button that was called "SaveRead" which, presumpoustly, saved the message and marked it as read.
I was wondering if there was a way to implement this same feature in the current built-in form of SMS Bubbles; "Message Ticker."
I am simply asking for a way to hack the Left Soft Key to "SaveRead" the displayed message from message ticker.

How to stop new message popup?

Hi all,
I have a HTC Touch running WM6.
As I am sure you are all aware, when you recieve a new sms or email message, a popup is displayed at the bottom of the screen, which displays the beginning of the new message.
This I do not like as it obviously exposes the contents of the beginning of the message (especially in sms) which is not very private, esp. if you are doing something on the phone showing other people.
Is there a way to stop this pop up balloon? Maybe just get it to say "New message" or even just make a sound / vibrate but with no popup and the "no new messages" icon will of course just switch to indicating new messages waiting?
Many thanks,
Jon
Hi, i have a german rom, i hope ive translated the way right;

BJ II- How to bring back Message icon?

Hi, I am on Samsung Blackjack 2, AT&T, and recently I updated into 6.1, everything is well and fine.
With the new sliding panel layout, I do not see the message icon that used to come on the topmost row when a new message or email is received. You know, just to the left of battery, reception signal and 3G indicators.. Its not coming on anymore. Only thing I see is in the notification panel, where it is easily missed.
Is there any way, registry hack or otherwise to re enable the message symbol on the top row?
PS: I am not using rinku iconbar, just the default view
Much thanks
switch your home screen
switch your home screen to sliding panel media and you might want to grab a copy of chome configurator available in the excalibur forum

Change text color in email when message double clicked

I recently performed the official upgrade on my Omnia and now when in an e-mail message in Outlook and I double click on the text it is light blue in color and impossible to read in any light. How can I change it back to black text? I loved this feature as I can scroll through a message quickly without graphics or using the messaging scroll bar on the side. I'm not even sure what this feature is called and internet searches were unsuccessful.
Thanks for the help in advance!

[Q] Fixing an annoying sms text input problem

Playing with my new phone I've noticed an annoying bug with my pro. I'm posting this bug here since it is probably specific to the pro's slide-out keyboard feature. I want to mention the bug to HTC, Microsoft or developers and was wondering where you guys think it is most appropriate. The layout of the problem on my NoDo Chevron unlocked using this method is this:
Bug for text messaging in keyboard slid out mode
If I am in another application or just at the homescreen with the keyboard already slid out and I receive a toast notifaction of a new text message when I press the toast notification the cursor is not flashing in the send a new text message box, why would have the keyboard slid out if I'm not prepared to use it? This is annoying and is reminiscent of old WM problems.
A similar problem occurs if I am just at the home screen with the keyboard slid out and I receive a new message. This time I do not press the toast notification and instead click the messaging tile. When I hit the messaging tile after it shows '1' while still in keyboard slid out mode I again do not see the cursor blinking in the reply text box. Again this is annoying and hinders efficiency.
I'm sure both of these related issues are easily fixed, I don't know if this is Microsoft's or HTC's obligation to fix but I would like some sort of solution. While I'd like it to be an official solution I'd be more than happy to use a developer's fix .
Does this piss anyone else off?
Where should I send this bug to, or should I just send it to every party that is able to help?
I'm confused as to whether the onus is on Microsoft to fix the bug or HTC.

Samsung S6 - Internet keyboard anomaly

My partner's S6 has recently received the update to 7 from 6, and she dislikes the whole new style of the Samsung interface and the way the phone behaves.
I believe that most of this can be overcome, but the thing that seems to be bugging her the most is the keyboard change on the Internet browser.
All of the other keyboard on the phone show the "predictive text" bar, and when you press the "period / comma" button is allows you to choose your punctuation for that instance.
HOWEVER, on her phone, there is no predictive text bar, and pressing to add punctuation changes the function of that button to the punctuation you used.
I cannot for the life of me find a way of changing the behaviour or restoring the predictive text bar, and while "install a new keyboard" might see like a viable option, the question still stands of why did they change it!?
I have friends with the S7 and S8 phones that don't have these issues, so I am thinking it is something to the Samsung / EE rom that was installed on her UK phone, or a setting somewhere that I am missing.
Any help is appreciated.
