Have you HardSPL your SNAP? I managed to flash the official rom after reverting back to SPL1.19.0000. All done with 20mins.

I downloaded it from HTC (SEA) website. Need to enter the serial number for my SNAP (non-camera) before being able to download it.

Any ROM can display chinese if you install the correct chinese package for reading/writing.
Google for WM6SZH.CAB for CJK read support and zMaple_A4_V2.6.012-Captain-ship.CAB for Chinese input support.

Tuffelee, this thread is on Official WM6.5 Asia ROM. I have no idea where to get WM6.1 Asia ROM. Unless you know how to reconstruct from raw files generated from pdocread, then I can try to upload my WM6.1 raw files.
Flashed to Official WM6.5 Asia rom last night. Quite fast and stable so far. Yes, chinese is included but I still missed ookba's 3VOLUTION rom with all the extra goodies.

My phone also hangs at 27% while updating. Same thing another user here reported. Is there anything we need to do to our phone first since we already had the 3VO version on it ? Please advise, phone is unusable now.
I just flashed mine too. Works great, much faster. There is Chinese input and display. The bar was actually stuck at 27% awhile but then eventually moved and completed.

I got stuck with a black screen after the version screen with this ROM. Any ideas how to solve this?? Tried 2 times, with the same result.
Back to some other ROM, anyone have a suggestion on wich?

Maybe Rogers is creating test ROMs before releasing?
it has a rogers theme and splash (after initial customization)and other items as well will play around with and grab whatever cabs i find. will also check to see if name display works.

can you check to see reception and quality?
also as noted earlier, do you have to HardSPL?
so far reception is fine not a lot of bloatware thus far, just a Do more app that just links u to a website portal.

Attached are the themes splash screen and cab add ons. one of which i am not sure what it does, i will flash to another rom and see if that helps the name display situation.
Please note that the rogers white theme is pretty terrible.

Cool...thanks y2whisper. Let us know how it works out. The one cab you posted simply sets a HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL EnableLine2=1 in the registry which does sound like its related to the Rogers Name Display feature. Are you able to get Name Display using this ROM?

This new rom is: CE OS 5.2.19199 Build 19199.1.0.0
But the old is CE OS 5.2.19716 Build 19716.1.1.0
Isnt 19716 higher version than 19199? Or am I missing something?

is best for the moment what you can get, and still someone complain, is not fair, I am very happy and glad for sharing this link, I am sure will still better as 2.50 one, and if tomorrow will come official release one, and I will download release and thats it, when I was on win 6.1 on my old htc touch hd, I was flashing roms nearly every day... , not too busy, happy with stock and go launcher, just want latest stock if is there one..

Should be possible BUT I wouldnt recommend it. The rom isnt perfect and that's probably also the reason why HTC didnt release it yet. Wait for official OTA release or flash any rooted version of the RUU so you'll be on the safe side.

It seems that with the ENG HBOOT the rom can't boot (just tested it)
Maybe they did change something (the HBOOT included in the rom is version 2.0 so maybe there's something different in the boot process)

I still don't get why this is happening. Did HTC send a letter to all the devs saying: "Hey guys so yeah it's cool if you make roms based on this but DON'T DISTRIBUTE THE BASE"?

The downgrade method works with it too ? Because if an official ROM flashed the S-OFF state going to be S-ON. I'm thinking to try this ROM, but I don't want to stuck with it.
