Database Info

can't install any RoM :(

i rooted my nexus s using the video tutorial on nexushacks then i tryed to instal CM9 alpha 18 RoM and for some reason i can't . I get this message in logs. What i've done wrong?

Try reflashing clockwork recovery thorough from manager app. That should fix that error

updated to cwm 5.0.2 and worked, thanks a lot :*

wrong clockworkmode
for gsm phone you neeed (recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-crespo_2)
for cdma phone you need (recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-crespo4g)

Can't install MIUI from CWR

After attempting to open the update package, it says:
Assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "SGH-I727" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "SGH-I727 || getprop("ro.product.device") == "skyrocket" || getprop("ro.build.product") === "skyrocket. E:Error in/emmc/MIUI.us.skyrocket_v4.1_2.10.19.1_... .zip (Status 7) Installation aborted.
I got it straight from this Forum, I'm not sure what the problem is.

What recovery are you using?

[Q] Flashing Cyanogenmod 10

I'm trying to flash Cyanogenmod 10 stable on my Nexus S 4g using TWRP 2.3.3.0. As soon as it starts, it stops with:

assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "crespo4g" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "crespo4g"
E:Error in /sdcard/Download/cm-10.0.0-crespo4g.zip
(Status 7)
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/Download/cm-10.0.0-crespo4g.zip'
I tried the CM 10.1 M zip and got the same error.
Any thoughts on things to try?

Not sure about twrp, but with cwm, there is an option to toggle assert before flashing.

I reflashed TWRP and that solved the issue. Thanks!

if anyone else has this problem try installing using twrp
