Hi guys,I have a problem with my vox..I have a notebook with windows xp and activesync 4.5..I connect it to my phone easily using usb cable (also internet connection works),but there is no way to connect it through BT.I tried to add a new COM port by the phone port but i failed..Could somebody help me to fix this problem?Thank you very much,regards..
old active sync for Windows XP does not include BT connection for sync. Use Windows Vista where you can sync your device via BT. That is the only way how to use BT for sync.
bluetooth and active sync work perfect with xp, try to use generic microsoft driver for bluetooth

I don't know..Maybe is my BT software because I add for example COM port 6 on my pc and assign Active sync to it,click "allow connection to one of the following devices" COM6,Then from my phone :\activesync\connect via Bluetooth and it says cannot find an existing bt partnership with a pc that supports ActiveSync.Would you like to set a partnership now?
Any suggest?Thanks
I found on another forum a guide to make bluetooth work with activesync under XP.

Hi All,
I'm running Windows 7
1. Suddenly my Windows Mobile Device Center Failed to recognize my phone and connect to sync. After some troubleshooting I realized the "Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter Driver" Failed to work correctly Saying "This device cannot Start (Code 10).
I uninstalled the driver in the Device Manager and attempted to Search for the Driver again after a Restart, my phone was again found while attempting to Sync but once again during Driver installation it failed and gave the Exclamation Mark stating an issue and sure enough it is the Code 10 error again.
2. This exact same issue happens when attempting to Tether to use the Phone as an Internet Modem. The Network Adapter driver to Tether is "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device" and it also doesn't install fine anymore. So no Tethering for me via USB.
Now, all the above happened suddenly while using the Internet Tethering with no issues. It simply disconnected and then that was the end of that.
Let me tell you to what Extent I went to try to get this to work. I re-formated my hard drive and re-installed Windows 7. And NOPE it didn't work. Windows Mobile Device Center is properly installed and that is when all the drivers are provided, during the WMDC installation. Once WMDC was installed, my phone was found, the Activsync feature and the Internet Modem feature, and the driver installation attempt happened, The correct drivers were found, but they just weren't Installed successfully as explained above. I'm currently browsing the internet using the Bluetooth PAN Internet Sharing, which works wonderfully with no issues.
But I really need to get the above two items working again, otherwise I can no longer connect my phone via activesync or better said WMDC for Windows 7 to Flash a New ROM.
Now so that nobody thinks it's a problem with my phone, I have three other computers where I can connect via WMDC and Tether via USB with no issues. But I'm having trouble with my Dell Inspiron 9300 which gave me no issues for Months until now.
I considered myself very computer savvy but at this point I'm really stuck!
Any help?
Thanks in advance,
Raudel

The Windows Mobile Device Center that gets Installed is the one with Windows Update. So it must be the correct one with the Win 7 Drivers.
Thank you for your reply.
Any other ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Raudel
i have the same problem with win7 and HTC touch2
i cannot solve the problem with HTC touch GSM everything is OK
any Help !!!!
I'm also getting this problem. It just began after a hardware upgrade. Microsoft remote adaptor cannot start. I have tried re-installing device centre numerous times and i cannot get device center to recognise my phone.
It works fine in disk drive mode however.
Edited to add that my device is recognised fine on other machines. So it is an issue with my PC. Interestingly my wireless usb adaptor won't work either.
I had a similar problem, found a solution online. There were some issues with Intel P55 chipset, it sync up immediately after BIOS update and reboot.
Hope this makes your day, best of luck.
I've decided to create a seperate thread for feedback for USB Tethering (using RNDIS, enabled under Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Tethering, since CM7.1 RC15), so it's all in one place.
As you know, Milestone kernel (with the exception of first beta builds) had RNDIS disabled and so I've created a module that adds RNDIS support and patch usb gadget driver accordingly. Git repository is set here: https://github.com/a853/a853_modules_froyo/tree/master/usb
Current release is in CM7.1 RC15 (module mot_usb.ko).
Please attach "/data/dontpanic/apanic_console" in case of reboot or the output of dmesg and logcat when having an issue with USB Tethering.
excellent. i waiting that in milaq's cyanogen to feedback.
EDIT: works good at moment, but it's slow compared to PdaNet. No issues
EDIT2: connection drops in hard usage conditions.
EDIT3: Without Debug Mode works more fast and at moment, the connection doesn't drop.
EDIT4: With Ubuntu 11.4 x64 works flawless
-
EDIT2 Conditions:Torrent Leech, P2P, Debug Mode and Charge Only Mode, Windows 7 x64.
EDIT3 Conditions:Torrent Leech, P2P, Charge Only Mode, Windows 7 x64
EDIT4 Conditions:Browser navigation, Ubuntu 11.4 x64
I don't have speed issues with it. However I'm also getting connection drop on hard usage (regardless to ADB status) (usage = downloading) on Windows 7 x64. On another machine with Windows Vista x64, it worked flawlessy.
I was really happy when I saw this feature in Milestone 1, I want to get rid of running PdaNet and easytether and save RAM and internal memory on my device. Is possible leave it stable?
I need it until buy a wifi receiver. I share the wifi connection with my PC, which is 2mbps. Do not laugh at me, I'm in Brazil: (
Native usb tethering is still under development (it has been released just 2 days ago).
Please also post result from logcat when the connection drops.
I'm posting this workaround also here, so it can be more easily found.

There seems to be a Windows 7 RNDIS driver issue.
Possible workaround is to create a bridge between RNDIS and ethernet or wifi device on your PC.
See http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6699#p43460
I tried to use the USB tethering in my old xp-64-bit machine but had no luck.
I'm not able to install the RNDIS driver for it. Therefore, I can't test it....
As far as I know you need at least Windows Vista to use native usb tethering.
Works just fine with Windows XP, just googling for Android USB Thethering Driver Windows XP get you to the right place:

Hi,
Recently I made an installation of the Infused ROM 2.2.3 and Infusion OC kernel on my device, but I can´t make any USB connection (mass storage) to work properly on Windows XP SP3 with Samsung Modem installed, and Samsung SGH-I997 drivers too, Kies installed and etc... when device connects and show the 2 external units, and when begin to copy files between PC and phone device disconnects automatically, and sometimes freezes the entire windows explorer... what I´m doing wrong?
This is both in Windows XP SP3 and Mac OS X 10.6.8, in mac, device simply doesn´t appears... notice that Kies on mac is on version 1.0... and in Windows is on 2.+...

Drivers are not necessary for USB mass storage mode.
Are XP and MacOS on the same dual-boot machine or are these different machines?
I know one of the ports on my Asus laptop is weird and constantly disconnects the phone - it's limited to just one port and the rest work fine. Maybe you have something similar.

I have an iMac with Mac OS X 10.6.8 (x64) Bootcamp and WinXp (x86) installed, primary boot system is XP SP3, well... I´ll check usb ports, hope this helps to solve this...
in my office machine (HP Windows XP Pro x86) I have kies and drivers installed too, but this machine works so fine all the time, when I connect the phone, explorer displays the two units and it can copy/paste files between PC/phone without disconnecting, connection is stable...
... maybe I should get the Samsumg i-9000 drivers instead of SGH-i997 due to I´m on Infused 2.2.3??
What the hell is Windows XP?
Sounds like a driver conflict kies doesn't play well with win 7 64. I know from personal experience
Try uninstalling all drivers and kies then reinstall drivers only, I think xp has generic drivers for usb mass storage so if you just need that then connect it without installing driver's.
Also make sure your data cable is good. Try a new one. They are cheap on Amazon

Since it affects XP and MacOS on the same dual-boot machine but doesn't affect his work machine - I suspect it's a USB port problem.
Try this...
Were you able to go into mass storage mode prior to flashing the ROM?
If so, maybe your USB Ports are looking for something that to them isn't there...every time that you connect a usb device, your computer creates a record in the usbstor section of the registry. You can manually delete these by using regedit and heading to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USBSTOR
Remember that making changes to your registry can have some undesired results, but this one is pretty safe.
Alternatively, you can go to this site http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html and use USBDeview to disable any old keys or such.
Don
maybe... I don´t know why but its on both systems on iMac machine, device attempts to connect and a milisecond after that, connection rejects and reconnects then reject a bout a three times like it was shortcircuit... like I was saying, in my HP (work machine) works like a charm, even in USB debugging mode, or not, so...

I will try it and see what will happens... what could it be?
a driver problem?
another thing that I forget to mention is that I installed drivers manually, actually I live in a block without any wi-fi network! and my Windows XP could not get drivers via Microsoft Update, so, I don't know if this is a factor too
Hey folks, i have a Dell Inspiron N5050 here, and it had no OS on it, so i put Windows 7 on it, and the wireless adapter is not recognized(doesn't show up in device manager). Obviously the driver won't install because the hardware isn't recognized by Windows(i got the driver from the Dell website). i was able to install the ethernet driver, so i can get online that way. I should also add that wifi works out of the box in Linux Mint booted off a USB stick. Also, wifi works fine on other machines with the same copy of Windows 7.
Linux will be my main OS, but does anyone know how to get Windows to recognize the wireless adapter?
The other thing i've noticed is that Network Controller doesn't have a driver installed, and the device is unknown and a driver can't be found,
I've definitely been scouring the internet as i always do, but haven't found the fix yet. Thanks in advance.
I got it working, the driver from Dell's website didn't work, it was a Broadcom i believe, but i found the driver for the standard Dell wireless card, and it found the hardware upon installing.
