Hello all,
I did some searches and didn't find a clear answer to this. The phone is an AT&T Tilt reflashed with a HTC based rom. The problem is when bluetooth stereo is enabled, ring/sms tones come out of the bluetooth headset rather than the back speaker on the phone. I have seen suggestions in other forums to uncheck the handsfree profile for the bluetooth heaset, however this does not solve the problem. That merely stops the headset from being able to answer and make phone calls. It has no effect on the ring/sms tones coming out the headset.
If we unselect the stereo bluetooth option, then the ring/sms tones come out the back speaker properly. But then we are unable to listen to music over the headset.
I have not yet tried BTAudio Toggle but plan to later (this is actually my wife's phone so I can't try anything at the moment). But is anyone aware of a solution that will put the notifications on the back speaker and leave other audio over the stereo bluetooth? I came across one post where the person was experiencing exactly this and wanted it switched to the behavior we are experiencing, so I know it's possible. I just don't have any idea how to get it to behave that way.
One odd thing is the alarm clock sounds do come out of the back speaker still. But they are not configured in sounds and notifications.
Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.
UPDATE:
Using BTAudioToggle and setting the audio to the BT headset sends all audio to the headset as expected. Setting the audio back to the back speaker has mixed results. The clock alarms and the ring tone go to the back speaker. All other sounds (all notifications, etc) still go to the BT stereo headset.
I spent about an hour searching through the registry for anything that might fix this and was unable to find anything.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

You now have what would be considered "proper" default behavior. The high priority sounds (phone call & alarms) will come across the speaker and everything else (music, email/sms/mms notification) will come over Bluetooth.
This is due to the following:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\*]
"Speaker"=dword:1
You'll notice that [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring] and [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Alarm] both have this value. Simply add the value to other sound types you wish to be duplicated on the speaker.
Cheers,

Thanks so much for your reply!
Do you know what category applies to SMS notifications or notifications in general?
I saw a reference to a "Notification" category so I created the key and added "Speaker"=dword:1 to it but this did not solve the problem. Did a soft reset to make sure it wasn't a setting that was only read at boot up.
The other sound categories listed don't appear to apply to SMS notifications or notifications in general. So although what you are saying clearly is correct, I'm still not finding the proper keys and values to add to set this the way we would prefer.
Again, thanks for your reply and thanks in advance for any further assistance.
Never mind. I was able to solve it. I added two other dword values to the "Notification" category, did a soft reset and it worked.
The added values were:
"AttenuationCategory"=dword:2
"InitVol"=dword:3
Both were copied from the "Ring" sound category.
Thanks so much for your help!
Same problem
I've got the same problem and was not able to solve it with help from the previous replys in this thread. Any idea how to get the SMS ring tones from the speaker of the phone rather than from the bluetooth handsfree set?
/ Loloson
where do you copy these new values
I don't understand where these values should be copied to make the notifications work as I would like them to. Could you be more specific.
Hi,
I have noticed that my phone takes a while to ring if I phone it from another terminal. However, if I have set it to "vibration", it rings much quicker.
Can this be due to the size of the mp3 I use as a rington? I am using a 2.13MB stereo 192 kbps. I am thinking of transforming it to a mono file with lower bitrate, but I have not tested it yet.
¿Do you think this can help? I have also heard that some people have had problems missing calls, due to the time the phone takes to ring. Maybe it is because of this...
Thanks a lot.
Hey boy
I dealt with this problem and I decided that it's better for the OS that the sound file is uncompressed. So the best format that you can set as a ringtone is the plain WAV format. You can convert a some mp3 music loop, not the whole song, to WAV and set it as your phone call ringtone.
But listen: I have found out that there is an interesting thing if you want to hear ALL your call and misscalls: in the Sounds and Notifications section you have an entry that says "Phone: lost call" or something like that. Look for it and choose to play a short sound, for example. This way, even if the phone call is too short to produce any sound, it always plays the sound.
I hope this helps
Thanks for the tip about the notifications for the missed calls. I'll do that.
I am at work now, but I will do some testing with other mp3 formats and with wav files, of course. Thanks again for that tip. Should I use any special format for the wav file (mono, estereo, bits per channel) or would anyone work? Which one is the most common?
Thanks!
J dont think that it is posted here,so from Diamond forum the file below makes Raphael sounds louder.Test it to mine & works, BUT it's a little disorted (with .wav files j use) ,maybe someone with enough knowledge fix it.
Media player now its loud, havent test it in incoming ringtones or bluetooth.
It doesnt sound well when SRSWOW is on.
The problem is that there is not enough power available from the audio amplifier. This can't be corrected with software.
What this .cab does is probably that it tries to increase the amplification beoynd the capabilities of the device. This may make the sound seem louder, but as you have noticed, it also increases distortion. There is no workaround for the laws of physics...
So we are really really stuck with a very inferior product.
I installed SRSWOW but lost all sounds

Did you change the dll file in the registry so that if points at the right one? Its been written a couple of times the the SRSWOW cab going about set the wrong values in the reg. So I think this should be an easy fix if you do a bit of searching. Try the Daimond forums.
Either this problem varies from device to device, or then Ijust dont understand how loud you guys need...
When my wife calls, she shouts so loud I even have to tone done volume
@WizP: I'll do a search for the fix.
@Taajuus: The sound must be decent enough....

I have my volume set to the halfway mark. I'm talking about the conversation volume, only settable while in a call, not the system or ringer volumes.
Those that are reporting low volume, is it the ringer, system, or call volume you are complaining about? In other words, is it the front or the rear speaker that's producing low volume?
The ring volume is more than fine, it's just the speaker volume when in a call, when outsuide you can hardly hear it
Yes, I concur.
I've got my in call volume at maximum and you can still barely hear the other person.
Before you ask, I don't have a screen protector covering the earpiece.
I still wonder - I havent had any problems with incall voice. Can hear person very clearly even outside in traffic noise.
Could this really be single device problem, or maybe operator dependant?
With that audiopara file in my raphael (ROMeOS V.1.05) the speakerphone volume is now hugh, the music playback is loud, but a little disorted, but j think that there was no serious change in incoming ringtones (though j use only wav files-that are much louder from mp3's.
As far as the disortion a new modified audiopara file that suits well with Raphael should make the difference.
J will try some mods with SRSWOW..
Worked here... But the sound is VERY distorted..
Couldn't find a way around it with SRS (Tried treble reducer) and no luck.
I can´t even here when I´m talking to somebody, but I still have that plastic over the earpiece but still! There´s NO sound at all through it (well really really low), I have max volume, will it get better with the screenprotecter that doesn´t block the small speaker?

REMOVE THAT. It's the same thing if I tried to yell to you with a wall in between us. Sound has difficulty traveling through a medium, specially a piece of plastic.
Dear Taajuus,
Could this really be single device problem

Well... yes sit can because:
1. There are several related problems that are not seen in all devices.
2. Not all Raphaels [Touch Pro] are the same model, make or version.
or maybe operator dependant

It can never be related to the operator because:
1. The operator's interaction with the device is the one of a comm carrier.
2. It's only possible influence would be with/thorough the radio, never the ROM.
3. The operator cannot directly interact with the hardware.
Cheers.

how do you install this?
The sound is distored cause tripp modified the values of the gain but put it too high. If some one could put lower values it would be great. I tried but didn't manage . I also tried to put the values of the HTC NIKE but it resulted in a lower sound that the original one.
How to install audiopara (to 'ekerbuddyeker")
Get in /Windows,search for audiopara3.csv, MAKE A BACKUP, use resco exp. and copy the new audiopara to /Windows, soft reset and done.

Ah, so that's how you install it ololol better write this on the first post...
Well for me this file really fixed the sound of my device, specially the earspeaker!! Now I have to lower the system sound so I don't get deft
I recommend everyone to use it...
So do u actually mean that this cab file has increased the volume on a call or just the general sound???
Dear all,
I did the most silly thing I've ever done in my life with trying to reset my transformer by setting a pin in the... microphone entry. I've had to many wmobile phones and I hadn't read the manual.
Hopefully I didn't push like a donkey and the microphone is still working.
But I'm quite a paranoid and I'd like to check if my microphone has been damaged because now that I'm paying attention to its quality, I noticed that the sss sounds look more like "sh" sounds.
Could someone please kindly upload a microphone sample with some speaking with some "sss" in order for me to compare?
Thank you!
Regards
Excalius
Boy,
nobody wants to take 30 secs to help? I posted here the sound sample I take when speaking really low.
I just cant send you the file because I'm too new on this website.
just hit filedropper.com and follow by

Please tell me if you see a similar problem on your device and send a sample from it.
Yours has a kind of background whirring noise to it, don't know if thats a pc fan in the background or the mic broken, but mine isnt like that.
And you also sound very quiet, but you may just be further away from your device than I was from mine when I tested it.
I couldnt find where the default recording app saved the files so I used an app called PCM recorder to record it at 48000Hz. Whatever app you used to record your clip, created it in a very poor audio quality. It has a kind of 'underwater' sound quality, which is common with low bitrate recordings.
Oh and you'll have to take my word for it as I'm not posting an audio clip.
Ok thank you.
And there,
filedropper.com
/recording-20110519-173337
do you still hear an anormal buzzing sound? You really can't send me a recording without speaking just to hear your sound?
And the shh are present with you too?
Thanks
