[Q] Unable to get texts from one person

I just recently had a problem with one of my associates where we are unable to send/receive text messages from one another. I have turned on received reports in the default messaging app in Android and all my texts say received by the recipient.
Both of us can receive and send texts to other people and calling between us still works. I have wiped my phone, and gone with a stock Virtuous 3.2 rom on a Droid Incredible and it still doesn't work. She is on a blackberry, also on Verizon if that helps.
It seems to me that it is probably a network issue but the fact that both of us can still get all other texts confuses me. Any ideas?

[issue] Can't Send Text Message Pics

I don't know why my phone is so wacked out...but now I can not send Pics in Text Messages. It trys to send but just gets stuck on "sending". Any suggestions?
Maybe try toggling your data connection off/on. Or, sent out a regular SMS. Sometimes that will help push em thru. I've had issues sometimes where they'll hang like that until I receive a text, then they push thru, but only on certain ROMs.
Hope this helps at all.

I had the same problem before, then I learned that my data had to be on in order to send or receive messages through text messages. I'm not sure if this is because of my carrier or if that's just how it is.
Won't work over Wifi, which seems kind of silly.
You need to have the data on to send MMS (picture messages) the carriers do not generally count that against the data you use.

sending text to email?

hi, i have a us cellular gs3 (no section for us cellular gs3) running aokp_dcusc_jb-mr2_milestone-2 and i'm having trouble sending texts to an email, i've never had this problem in the past with any phone or any other rom on this phone. what its doing is trying to send it as a mms instead of a text. i'm not sending a pic just a few words. i'm using the default message app "com.android.mms version 4.3.1-eng.sethyx.20131218.013055". i've tried other messaging apps and they're all doing the same thing. i'm on page plus and my data is in and out so i have my data turn off all the time, even still i've been able to sent texts to an email without data as a text not a sms. any help (besides suggesting to switch roms) would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] can't send/receive mms, occasionally texts/phone calls

Hi,
I bought the Z3 about a month ago, and so far I'm fairly happy with it after moving from my S5, but, I have a few nagging issues that are starting to drive me up the wall.
My gf and I both got this phone, and both of us have these issues, we have T-Mobile.
I have a lot of issues sending and receiving MMS, both using Textra and the stock messaging app.
I have had under probably 10 occasions at least where people asked if I received their picture, or if I received their group text, but I did not. I have also sent mms messages and had the other party not receive them.
In addition, I have to reboot my phone at least once a week, because text messages will start failing to send/receive, and same goes for phone calls.
Is there a custom rom or some flashable fix for this issue? It's really the only thing taking away from this phone..
Thanks!
