Recentally people have found how mulitouch works on the leo by looking through the registry. I was wondering if we could unlock the multitouch on our phones by changing the registry. The article on the leo is on wmpoweruser.com
multitouch only works on the leo because it has a capacitive touch screen, like the iphone.
the raphael has a resistive touch screen, which is not capapble of multitouch
That is not true. The raph has multi touch. it is just locked. some apps have managed to unlock this however. an example is touch the music
Raphael doesn't have multitouch. It has a resistive screen, which means no multitouch.

Next time look around before posting if u have no knowledge on this. I even said it. if your just gonna say it doesnt exist you not helping but thank you both for actually posing something
That is not a real multitouch - real multitouch is hardware dependent/based, and that is a software-based "multitouch" with limited usage. Even the author admits that:
Multitouch for Touch the Music is entirely software-based.

still is there anyway to enable the software multitouch to do things like pinch and zoom in the album or opera
If you could, it would already have been done months ago. I don't think that they trick they apply in TTM can be applied for things like album.

it will register the area in between you tap in 2 different spots
next time think about it. it's not real multitouch.

lol @ you posting something from some other site like people here are dumb.
Seriously, you've been a member long enough to know that 90% of every WM hack/etc is worked on and released by people here at XDA, and if the hack didn't come from here it's known here withing minutes. Don't be rude when you get knowledgeable answers that maybe aren't what you want to hear.
while not necessarily all resistive screens are incapable of multitouch, the fuze/touch pro has an old fashion one and just is. there is simulated multitouch which you can see how it works if you have a paint program on your phone (or just open notes if you hold cause tapping selects the line for text) and press in 2 spots and move your fingers around. youll see the selection is right inbetween your two hit points.
now you can further realize how this works by viewing it in reverse. open a simulated multitouch app like touch the music and hit in between the two points that are simulating multitouch. you should get the multitouch effect.
multitouch is not locked out, it just doesnt exist on resistive touch screen phones. enjoy those apps that give you a simulated multitouch experience cause thats all you will get on your phone.

Hi
Last time a was out driving I found out that when I placed my mobile on my mobile on the dashboard it works as a Head up display With some tweaking it works perfect as a speedometer and speed camera warning(using tom tom), but I need to find a application that can invert my display. I tried searching, but with no results. Does someone know about a application that could help me with this?
Search better.......
There are tons of these apps....You could also do that using a simple Mortscript file.... Or maybe using a particular task manager (anyone, except the winmo one, has this feature...)
Next time follow the link on my signature.....

I know there are alot apps that can rotate the screen, but I hav'nt found any that can invert it yet.
I missed something.....
I'm just curious... Why you want invert your screen?

Because when I put the mobile in the dash and the display shines in the windscreen it gets inverter. So i get a bit har to read everything backwards.

Maybe it works....
Think the OP is actually looking for something to create a mirror image of his display, as opposed to just inverting the colours.

Sounds like it yes! Someone?
Sounds like an awesome idea. I have never heard of software possible of doing this, but at the very least I understand what you mean. You want to invert the image, not the colour (text = txet) so it appears correctly in a mirror image (or a car windscreen).
I will keep an eye out, as it should be possible, though I haven't seen anything yet.
just asking, why don't you just use a windshield (or any other kind) mount for all what you want? why go into all this trouble?
Because a windshield mount is all "in your face". Using the reflection is a lot more subtle and is just plain neat.
To those who didn't understand i took som pictures today, maybe someone would take the time to make this kind of program?
The picture are a bit fuzzy because it is nearly imposible to hold the camra steady for the five seconds it takes without i tripod. There are also two reflections from the windscreen, but it is easily readable in real life!

No one knows?
i'm interested in this as well... but just don't have any knowledge on how to do this. one alternative is to perahps add a mirror somewhere to invert the screen once prior to the windshield...
Does anyone know of a program that's kind of like the fun lights on the motorola phones...or can someone make one i think out would be pretty cool

disco era is gone, man...
lol but it would look cool
We need to get some people working on a program like that.
is any way to emulate nokia Xpress-on Fun Shell to get something like this on air:
I remembered VJAY555 made something similar to this just for fun.
He did vjplumbum that plays a Christmas song and the leds "dance" accordingly and another one to appear like the movie "close encounters of the 3rd kind" main theme...
Both of them must be offline, because I cant find them...
With these, you probably can find a tool that make them run (they are both EXE's) as soon as the phone starts ringing. Take in mind that all these are for wm5/6.
Now, about that nokia airtexting i never even heard of, but it looks very fun... I made a small test in flash, but i cant find more technical informations about it, I need to know the timing and sizes for the display to show a message... All the gadgets I found on youtube had accelarameters, but I don't think its needed...
I'm attaching the small tests i did to appear a heart on the screen, one is sideways and both dont really work...lol

Just make a search in:
instructables
wikipedia and
google for the term:
POV (percistence of view ) *not the pr0n POV =P.*
its the basics of cinematic....
i believe that you can make it flash something like 12fps...
I did... nothing usefull came up.
Nokia-like wave messaging seems really cool, but I don't know if a phone's screen is bright enough to achieve this effect.
I can try to make a small Win Mobile utility that does this, maybe using the accelerometer, but right now I don't really have time for this.
Hi ppl. I have a problem(and I think, not just me) with Right arrow/way underneath the display. It is absolutely unresponsive very often, suddenly it works normally. It seems, that the touch sensitive surface has an unstable pressure threshold in this area. It is very annoying,so knows someone any solution? Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem, really annoying it is. Cannot play games with a right arrow that works half the time
Try to blow in centre button.
try this, use left thumb to hit the right button. Its really annoying, it seems the left right cursor pad it too sensitive and must be pressed at the correct angle
I'm also having this problem.
Do you guys know if it's a hw problem or it can be fixed with one of the custom roms?
Thanks

No, I only found this thread. I didn't find anything in the wiki either.
Thanks for those links.
Oops! .. I thought it only happens with me, there might be some problem in my phone, as it felt down from 6 feets just after 2 days from the day I bought it.
well it's really annoying..
hope to get a solution. (I think the hardware button is not manufactured properly).. (I might be wrong )
I have the exact problem!!!
Does anyone knows where to buy a replacement keypad??? I have been searching for it for days now with no luck. and all I could find is this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120488502946&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123 and this one https://www.gsm4world.us/htc-touch-...rane-pcb-repair-d-03019_405.html#remote-tab-1 and both have the same price almost $50.00 for a couple of buttons. have anyone found it cheaper???
Have you tried the HTC debug tools to see if the navipad is registering touches in that area?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2511016
You'd be looking for the 'NavDbgTool.exe' in that zip. Just extract the whole zip to somewhere on your phone and run NavDbgTool. You should see some lines and dots moving around on your screen. If you are able to see the lines moving when you move your thumb, it would mean that your navipad is working just fine.
Try running this program when you're unable to press the left or right buttons and see if you get different results.
My guess is that the buttons are just fine, but where you are putting your finger isn't exactly where HTC thought it should go in order to actually 'press' the left or right buttons. If the sensors and underlying buttons weren't actually working, you wouldn't be able to press end call or back either.
Hope this helps!
If you are new to the phone try those suggestions above. If this has just recently started happening when the phone used to work fine, its broken. The capacitive sensor HTC put in is junk, I had mine break 2 times. Got it fixed through warranty. It is not a software issue, you can hard reset, change ROMs, etc. It won't fix it, it is physically broken, and you can confirm it with the NavDbgTool.
Hello, is this phone multitoouch?
Does it have another name as the previous one is Raphael?
thanks!
no as far as I know no htc device support multi-touch
as far as I know wm don't really support it as it require capacitive touch
rather then resistive touch which all wm devices use could be wrong though

i think youre right thats why M$ keeps saying that i would be a great feature of WM7...
ifim not mistaken apple has a patent on multitouch but i hear the touch pro now has multitouch which can only be exploited with the developer's test kit.

if apple has a patent on multitouch sounds like cheating....
M$ has one multi-touch patent, which includes gestures, so they can legally implement it in Windows 7 and Windows Mobile 7. The Touch Pro2's code name is the Rhodium.
And when you say the Raphael has multi-touch, I believe it's kind of a false multi touch. When you touch 2 points on a resistive touch screen, the phone registers the touch at the exact distance between the two points you're touching.
So what some people have started to do is include "invisible buttons" in their emulators, etc., so when you touch the up on the virtual DPAD and the "X" button, the point registers in between them, where there is an invisible button between those two points, whose action is to perform Up on the DPAD and press the "X" Button. I know it sounds confusing, but maybe this image will help.

It's not a real tactile keyboard but at least it's a new landscape keyboard-ish phone with new hardware. I'm disappointed it is a screen but if it's customizable then that would make a bit more sense instead of it just being a silly gimmick. I don't need a camera button on my keyboard, I'm not sure what's beside the 1 key or the left/right arrows, I don't need a symbol button where backspace should be and it looks like a whole row worth of space is wasted where there is just the speaker symbol.
It might be better than the landscape mode blackberry options though but there's no way I'll be able to type on it without looking as well as having a tactile and real physical keyboard. At first I thought it was a real keyboard and got so excited. I have come down off that high now.

instead of adding that in a 2nd post, you should edit your OP to remove the unsourced clickbait fake pic and rumors... then replace it all with the actual *factual* new landscape slider, which *is real*, has *legit sources*, and details could be found since mid to late 2018, now directly at https://www.fxtec.com/pro1 or just delete this "fake news" thread entirely.
