I am new in WM devices, so sorry for anything.
I have a new HTC Touch Diamond Orange UK and i went to HTC web site
to make a ROM update, because my HTC is to slow.
But when i put the S/N they don`t let me do the download.
How can i resolve this?

All roms and all phones are serial number protected, to keep people from trying to flash roms not intended for their phones.
If you can't download the rom with your serial number, then it was not intended for your phone.

If you think you can do it, follow instructions here:

and dump the rom from your device.
And upload to rapidshare (www.rapidshare.com)
If you could do this, I would be a happy man
And even better, If you have access to a norwegian RUU (rom upgrade utility) for your kaiser (Im not sure, but maybe you can get it from htc e-club. http://member.htc.com/member/login.aspx?fm=eu&ln=en
register if you havnt allready, and see if there is a download
other option is contact support via email and ask for a ruu, cause your device has locked, and you need to flash it back
any of theese would be greatly appreciated
If you look in the windows folder of all Tytn II rom there are some cabs that are installed on a hardreset. One is named configure_key.cab
Could that cab install the country specific keymappings?

There isn't RUU for new devices on htc club. Only for upgrade when htc deploy new functionality on the same version of windows mobile (as gps update for P3600 Trinity) or new version of windows mobile.

I've read in some others threads that's impossibile to reconstruct the rom as it comes when u buy. Something miss as office or connection wizard.
Is it the truth?

can anyone tell me where to get the 6.1 update for htc s710 in india? i registered with htc india but no updates show-up.
to tell the truth ... i'm not comfortable installing a 'cooked' rom posted by dr. gonzo rom coz its first time got a windows device so if i screw the flashing theres no way i can get the original software back

Dude, don't worry the Read me that comes with the Dr.Gonzo's ROM is self explanatory... And Dear, when i tried it for first time, I screwed my VOX too...But then a little patience and VOX wiki..I am up there with my VOX on WM 6.1..ANd now you can see my Signature, i love trying beta ROMsss.. Just in case anything happen to ur phone, give me a buzz at [email protected] may be i can be of some instant help to u... there is no official WM6.1 ROM update for S710 ANYWHERE.
you can try the WM6.1 ROM by Dr.Gonzo, it is very good. It does have some minor glitches but a new user like you won't notice it for a while.
and yes this forum will help you if anything goes wrong, but before you do anything please read the wiki completely and when flashing follow ALL instruction(every single line) carefully. ALL!
You would like the WM6.1 rom.
and one more thing....
download the official 1.34 ROM also(its on the FTP),
then in case you screw it up while flashing, you will have the original ROM to fall back on.

Hi all, I recently bought HTC s710 and I love there are some queries see if anyone can guide me :
1. If I flash my device with WM 6.1 can i get the original OS by hard reset?
2. If I flash the device will i lose my warranty which is one year ?
3. If i spoil my device is there a way to restore original OS so that repair people do not come to know that I have flashed my device.

1). If you flash WM6.1 or ANY ROM, you can not restore to the original ROM by hard reset. You will need to re-flash it.
2). Technically, yes you will lose warranty, however...
3). Patched USPL can be used so you can always restore the original factory/OEM ROM and still use your warranty should you have any hardware issues.
In short, I would not hesitate to flash WM6.1 due to those questions you have. The first thing I did when I got my S710 was flash a patched SPL and unofficial ROM.

Yes, it is to all people that are new, it's a fact, they ask before they read, I am getting sick of it. The same questions every day!
XDA should force a reply to each sticky'd Wiki before posting rights are granted, until then only read should be applied to the account. Perhaps I will bring it up with a mod.

It's possible, the C4 forums have it in place on vBulliten 3.7.1, but I am sure they require it more than XDA does.
It would be better to require a certain amount of posts before you can start a new thread. Meh. I don't think it's that much of an issue anyways. I am sure if it was, something would be in place already.
Update error
I downloaded Dr.Gonzo's Monalise v1.0 and finished all the steps in the how-to and Readme. During the final Flash.exe, it is saying ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR. The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility.

I did that too. Same error Update Error 270. Image file corrupted. Only the batch file executed correctly after the application unlocking.

I have searched the thread. There are conflicting answers. I just thought that someone in the know could give me a straight answer that's all. I have tried several answers and none of them have worked so far. My P3700 won't let me overwrite the SPL, well, at least not the methods I have tried so far.

Broseph you are searching the wrong forum for that type of phone, this is KAISER rom development, you probably want the DIAMOND rom development, you can get answers about the DIAMOND in there.

Hey guys Im from Portugal and bought recently a TyTN II (Kaiser) to someone who bought it in the orange UK. I have registered in the HTC E-club to download the latest ROM but when i insert the serial number it tells me my device is not supported?? Where can I find the original HTC 6.1 Pro in portuguese? Thanks in advance ^^
