Change character Count position in Threaded SMS (wm6.1) - General Questions and Answers

Is there a way to change the position where the char count appears in Wm6.1 when using threaded sms?
I use wktask and it hides the start menu with the current running apps. This makes it impossible to see the character count.
I've looked into thread_sms.htm but no ideas...

Thumb freindly email client that supports IMAP/Push

My fingers are too fat to use POutlook! Is there any other push compatible email client that is easier to scroll? Or is there any way to increase the size of the vertical/horizontal scroll bars?
Thanks!!!
W
you can use Advanced Config 3.3 to changes the size of the bars and arrows, and you can enlarge the text in your settings in WM..
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! I can now scroll through my Poutlook email without inadvertently opening every other email.

How to make unread SMS appear in bold in the WM6.1 inbox?

I've had a search around and I can't find a solution to this one. My apologies if it's already been covered and I missed it.
In the Stock Orange WM6.0 ROM which shipped with my Vox, when you are looking at the SMS inbox, unread SMS are shown in bold text (obviously this is the WM6.0 unthreaded messaging app). Once you have viewed the message the text is no longer bold.
I have now tried 2 WM6.1 ROMs - Snap1.4 and Fireburned VoxRomWM6.1Clean_v1.4. In both of these ROMs, unread messages are NOT shown in bold in the inbox in threaded SMS mode. The only thing which distinguishes them as unread is the envelope icon - closed or open depending on the status of the message. The Snap1.4 ROM has the facility to switch easily to unthreaded SMS and the problem persists.
I have an HTC Kaiser with WM6.1 Professional - on this unread messages are shown in bold (in both threaded and unthreaded modes) no problem.
I would like unread messages to display in bold, as is the standard for the PC version of Outlook and all the various WM phones I have owned over the years. Does anybody have a solution to this please? Is there perhaps a registry entry somewhere or is it just a "feature" of WM6.1 Standard?
Thanks all.
P.S. I'm not using the sliding panels homescreen - this has been suggested as a possible reason for the messages not showing bold in the inbox, as they are previewed on the messages panel. I'm using the default WM homescreen.

Finger-friendly notifications?

I am using WAD 2. I am looking for a way to display notifications in a finger-friendly way. This is for all notifications that put icons into the task (top) bar. E.g. I get an icon from my weather app when an earthquake occurs, and an icon from the mail program (not Pocket Outlook) when a new mail is received, and one from Sprite Backup when a backup completes. When multiple icons are put into the task bar, a bubble represents them all, and clicking on the bubble brings up a ribbon below the task bar that shows the individual icons. I am looking for something that duplicates the function of that ribbon, so that I can select and clear those notifications using my fingers. I could probably do it in Mortscript if I knew where in the registry to find a list of the notifications or icons. Any ideas?

[REQ] How to remove text below shortcuts on today screen?

Hi to all...
I did search and search but nothing found. On my today screen - home tab - I have 20 shortcuts. Below the icons of the shortcut appears a text label.
With 20 shortcuts the text is very small, barely readable and in my opinion very distracting. Therefore I prefer shortcuts without the text label.
Where should I search? Manila files, registry? Can anyone point me in the right direction or hand over a solution?
Would appreciate your help! I'm using the 1.61 ROM and have the Max Manila mod installed.
Found some of a solution myself. I'm not yet satisfied with it though.
The text can be removed by editing the registry:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Home\nn
Where nn stands for shortcut number, eg. 1, 2, 3, ..... 20
Look for the entry DispName. This contains the shortcut text.
Replace the text by a space.
Now the text box is gone, but the little black textfield remains.
When replacing the DispName by an empty string the text box also disappears, but now the whole shortcut icon becomes grey. So that is not a nice looking option.
Still looking for a better solution.
Nobody here to offer some help??
Just can't imagine I'm the only one who wants to get rid of the text below the shortcuts on the home tab. Without this text the home tab looks so much cleaner / nicer...
PS: Happy NEW YEAR to all !!

Software to preview SMS/text messages (WinMo 6.5)?

Hi everybody!
Is there any software that is able to show a preview of a received text message "on top of the WinMo 6.5 lock screen layer"?
Something like the way that S2U2 can schow a preview of a text message but without the rest of the functionality of S2U2?
Thanks!
